The purpose of the study was the qualitative and quantitative assessment of musculoskeletal pain post _COVID 19 in the process of in-hospital medical rehabilitation.
Methods: A group of 124 people who suffered SARS-Cov-2 infection were analyzed and underwent rehabilitation treat-ment with physiotherapy, halotherapy and electrotherapy sessions in the specialized “Post COVID rehabilitation” ward during a period of 14 days. For the analysis of the pain phenomenon, 103 people who presented musculoskeletal pain, before and after treatment were assessed by the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire, pain intensity by VAS scale and intensity of fatigue syndrome.
Results. Musculoskeletal pain was present in 84.3% of cases among persons admitted for rehabilitation treatment. Re-habilitation programs applied under inpatient conditions increased the rate of people with moderate and mild pain by 6.8% and decreased the rate of those with severe pain by 13.6% (p< 0.05), assessed by the Nordic Musculoskeletal Ques-tionnaire. The proportion of patients with severe pain, assessed by the VAS scale, decreased by 13.8% at discharge from the hospital.
Conclusion. In-hospital medical rehabilitation programs applied to people with musculoskeletal pain post -COVID 19 had a beneficial effect by decreasing the number of painful areas and pain intensity.

Covid-19 infection is a challenge for the medical system. The development of programs and strategies for the rehabilitation of people in different stages of the disease is relevant and current. The ...study is a bibliographic synthesis that aimed to analyze the methods and strategies of medical rehabilitation of patients with the new “coronavirus infection”. Data were collected from the academic databases PubMed, PubMed Central, Google, collecting relevant articles from 2019-2021, using the keywords: “Covid-19” or “Covid 19” or “2019- CoV” or “SARS- CoV” or“ new coronavirus” or “SARS-CoV-2” and “rehabilitation ”or“ physical medicine”. Th e aim of the study was to estimate the consequences of COVID-19 and to identify methods of recovery treatment. Because Covid-19 severely affects the respiratory system, pulmonary rehabilitation interventions with respiratory techniques and postural drainage combined with other physiotherapeutic methods may be used for a patient with COVID-19. The wide range of clinical manifestations in COVID-19 reveals the importance of adapting the rehabilitation program to functional deficits and patient needs. Multifactorial programs combined with active and supportive methods (physical therapy, exercise, occupational therapy, reflex therapy) are effective and can be used in the complex care of patients with COVID-19 at all stages of treatment.
The Pemphigus Disease Area Index (PDAI) and Autoimmune Bullous Skin Disorder Intensity-Score (ABSIS) scores have been proposed to provide an objective measure of pemphigus activity. These scores have ...been evaluated only on already treated patients mainly with mild to moderate activity. The objective was to assess the interrater reliability of ABSIS and PDAI scores and their correlation with other severity markers in a large international study.
Consecutive patients with newly diagnosed pemphigus were enrolled in 31 centers. Severity scores were recorded during a 24-month period by the same two blinded investigators. Serum was collected at each visit for ELISA measurement of anti-desmoglein antibodies. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Spearman rank correlation coefficient were calculated.
A total of 116 patients with pemphigus vulgaris (n = 84) or pemphigus foliaceus (n = 32) were included. At baseline, the ABSIS and PDAI ICCs were 0.90 (95% confidence interval CI = 0.85–0.93), and 0.91(95% CI = 0.87–0.94), respectively. The ICCs for PDAI were higher in moderate and extensive pemphigus (ICC = 0.82, 95% CI = 0.63–0.92 and ICC = 0.80, 95% CI = 0.62–0.90, respectively) than in patients with intermediate (significant) extent (ICC = 0.50, 95% CI = 0.27–0.68). Conversely, the ICCs for ABSIS were lower in patients with moderate extent (ICC = 0.44, 95% CI = 0.004–0.74) than in those with intermediate or extensive forms, (ICC = 0.69, 95% CI = 0.51–0.81 and ICC = 0.75, 95% CI = 0.51–0.88, respectively). During patients’ follow-up, the ICCs of both ABSIS and PDAI scores remained higher than 0.70.
ABSIS and PDAI skin (r = 0.71 and r = 0.75) but not mucosal (r = 0.32 and r = 0.37) subscores were correlated with the evolution of anti-DSG1 and anti-DSG3 ELISA values, respectively. ABSIS and PDAI scores are robust tools to accurately assess pemphigus activity.
