Purpose of the study. To analyze modern literature sources related to the search for
of children and adolescents who are associated with risky behavior.
Materials and methods. Historical and ...bibliosemantic methods were used to fulfill the purpose of the study. A systematic analysis of works, abstract databases of libraries, statistical and reference materials was carried out. A total of 187 sources. Of these, 99 national and 71 foreign. The review analyzes current issues of medical and social nature regarding the possibilities of improving the prevention of morbidity of children and adolescents associated with risky behavior, and its intersectoral and interdisciplinary integration.
Research results and their discussion. It was found that pronounced negative changes in the health of adolescents associated with risky behavior occur worldwide and have led to serious medical and social consequences - deteriorating reproductive health, limited vocational education, employment, reducing the number of young men fit for military service.
Conclusions. The results became a roadmap for further research on the spread of risk-related behaviors at the regional level and the organization of its prevention.

Purpose of the study. The aim of our study was to examine the relationship between existing risk factors and adolescent trauma
Materials and methods. In order to establish a link between adolescent ...injuries and risk factors, we conducted a sociological study among injured adolescents who received medical care at the Zaporozhye Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital and adolescents enrolled in vocational schools. (The questionnaire was approved by the Methodical Council. Minutes № 12 of 24.12.19). The questionnaire included 23 questions aimed at establishing demographic data and identifying personal, family and social risk factors. Personal risk factors included; smoking, alcohol use, drug and psychotropic drug use.
Family risk factors include risk factors such as alcohol abuse in the family, raising their voices against each other, and cases of physical violence against adolescents. Social risk factors include: not a full family, living in a dormitory, having an income per family member less than the subsistence level.
Statistical processing of the obtained materials was performed on a personal computer using a package of licensed applications EXCEL-2003 and STATISTICA. Levels of reliability: (p < 0,05).
Research results and their discussion. The first group of the study (hereinafter group A) included 168 respondents aged 15 to 17 years. The second group of the study (hereinafter group B) included 283 respondents aged 15–17 years.
In group A it was found that among the respondents prevailed boys 98 people (58,33%), girls 70 (41,67%). Residents of the city 108 people (64,29%), residents of the village 60 people (35,71%). 146 respondents (86,90%) lived with their families, and 22 (13,10%) lived in dormitories.
They had a complete family of 118 (70,24%), not a complete family of 50 (29,7%). It was found that 20 respondents (11,90%) had an income per family member less than the subsistence level.
In the second group (group B) among 283 respondents – 150 (53,0%) males and 133 (47%) females.
There are 173 inhabitants of the city (61,13%), 110 inhabitants of the village (38,86%). 244 people (86,21%) lived with their families, 39 (13,10%) lived in dormitories, and 184 people (65,01%) were found to live in a complete family.
As we can see, the groups for studying the connection between adolescent injuries and the risk factors that could lead to injuries were compared according to age (adolescents aged 15–17), in percentage terms close to gender, city of residence, marital status.
Given that we are studying a group of adolescents who have already been injured, the method of research is case-control.
A study examining the relationship between personal, family, and social risk factors and adolescent trauma yielded: strong reliable correlation in the cohort of respondents who drink alcohol (x2 = 6,2; p = 0,01); strong correlation with a significant correlation (p = 0,001) between such family risk factors as alcohol consumption in the family; (x2 = 65,5; p = 0,001), raising the voice against each other (x2 = 36,9; p = 0,001), physical violence (x2 = 6,7; p = 0,01).
Conclusions. Given the results obtained, injury prevention measures should be built on a crosssectoral basis, comprehensively, while addressing issues of social, family and personal direction among adolescents and parents.
Purpose of the study. To study and analyze the trend of injuries among children aged 0-14 years and organizational aspects of providing them with medical care at the regional level.
Material and ...methods. The research was conducted on the basis of the municipal nonprofit enterprise «Zaporizhzhya Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital» of Zaporizhzhya Regional Council, and was performed as part of a comprehensive research work «Medical and social substantiation of the model of prevention of morbidity and mortality of children and adolescents behavior»(№ state registration: 0118U003679), performed in the State Institution «ZaporozhyeMedical Academy of Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine» since 2017. According to the objectives of the study, an analysis of medical histories of patients who were treated in the institution for injuries from 2014–2018.
Research results and their discussion. During the period from 2014 to 2018, 4457 children aged 0 to 14 were treated for injuries and other injuries at the Zaporizhia Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital. The number of injured children during this period tends to increase. It was found that the number of injured among boys is almost twice as high as among girls. The growth trend during the study period, injuries among boys is + 27,1%, among girls it tends to decrease and is -26,1%. The study found significantly more cases of injuries among children in urban areas. Thus, in 2018 they amounted to 82,5%, compared to 17,5% of cases among rural children. It was found that the number of hospitalized children with traffic injuries during the study period increased 5 times. The trend for the study period is +333,3%. The number of children hospitalized due to street injuries has doubled. The study found that the number of appeals during the first hour after the injury in rural areas is 2 times less than in urban areas.
Conclusions. The results of the obtained research became a roadmap for the organization of preventive work at the inter-sectoral level, aimed at preventing the causes of injuries, the organization of timely medical care at the pre-hospital stage.
Purpose of the study. To study the dynamics of the main causes of disability among the population of Zaporizhzhia region for 2013– 2018.
Materials and methods. The materials of the study were ...statistical reports of medical and social expert commissions of Zaporizhzhia Region Center for Medical and Social Expertise for 2013–2018.
Statistical data processing was performed with calculations of intensive indicators for 10 thousand of the total population and for 10 thousand of adult population of Zaporizhzhya region. Statistical processing of the study materials was using computer programs of the STATISTICA package (StatSoft Statistica v. 6.0).
Results. The disability indicator can be considered as a reflection of the success of society, social protection and the level and quality of public health.
The article analyzes the dynamics of causes of disability among the population of Zaporizhzhia region for 2013–2018 according to the annual reports of medical and social expert commissions. We conducted an analysis of the causes of disability among the population of Zaporizhzhia region for 2013–2018.
The main causes of disability are: general illness; disability since childhood; industrial accident (occupational injury or other damage to health); occupational disease; diseases associated with exposure to radioactive radiation due to the Chornobyl disaster; injuries, injuries, injuries, illnesses in the military.
Conclusions. The most common cause of disability is «common disease», which is established in the absence of grounds (evidence) for recognizing the presence of any other cause.
In recent years, the population of Zaporizhzhia region has seen a gradual increase in primary disability due to general illness, work injury and among military personnel. At the same time, there is a tendency to decrease primary childhood disability and occupational diseases.
During the indicated period (2013–2018), there has been a slight fluctuation in the disability indicators due to the Chornobyl disaster, both downward and upward, with an overall trend towards stability.
The authors examined 794 patients which endured nonpenetrating backbone traumata at different levels (cervical part--367 patients, thoracal part--186 patients and lumbar part--231 patients). The ...authors indicate total invalidism of patients with grave injures of spinal cord. Provision of employment of patients with less severe traumata depends, for the most part, upon social activity of invalids. In case of cervical part of vertebral column trauma without spinal cord damage and with surgical treatment the working ability of persons, not engaged in physical labour, can be restored in 4-6 months. Physical labour persons suffer from disablement during 1 year. It is not expedient to extend their doctor's certificate but they should be appointed the 11 group of invalidism by medical and labour examination commission. The same tactics for medical and labour examination should be followed in case of noncomplicated traumata of thoracal part of vertebral column. In case of stable fractures of lumbar part of vertebral column it is recommended to determine temporary disablement with brain work persons up to 6-8 months, and in case of nonstable fractures--8-10 months by doctor's certificate. Occupational employment of physical labour persons is contra-indicated during 2-3 years and therefore in case of difficulties with identical employment provision they are appointed the 3 group of invalidism.
