Psoriasis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease that significatively impairs patients' quality of life. Biological treatments are highly effective and safe and have led to breakthroughs in the ...management of patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis. However, therapeutic response can be unsatisfactory or lost with time, leading to discontinuation of treatment. Bimekizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that specifically inhibits both interleukin (IL)-17A and IL-17F. The efficacy and safety of bimekizumab in moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis has been demonstrated in Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials. Bimekizumab may offer some advantages over other biological treatments, making it especially indicated for certain patients. This narrative review aims to summarize the latest published evidence on the use of bimekizumab for the treatment of moderate-severe plaque psoriasis, focusing on patient selection and therapeutic perspectives. Bimekizumab has been shown to be more efficacious than adalimumab, secukinumab and ustekinumab in clinical trials, with high estimated probabilities of achieving complete (approximately 60%) or almost complete clearance (approximately 85%) of psoriasis at weeks 10-16, and a good safety profile. Response to bimekizumab is usually fast and maintained in the long term for both biologic-naive patients and those resistant to previous biologic treatments. The usual maintenance dose of 320 mg every 8 weeks makes bimekizumab especially convenient for non-compliant patients. Moreover, the efficacy and safety of bimekizumab have also been demonstrated in psoriasis affecting challenging-to-treat areas, psoriatic arthritis and hidradenitis suppurativa. In conclusion, dual inhibition of IL-17A and IL-17F with bimekizumab is a good therapeutic option for moderate-to-severe psoriasis.
All existing measurements of the solar neutrino flux are compared with the predictions of the most recent solar model by Bahcall and Pinsonneault, modified by introducing the hypothesis of neutrino ...oscillations with mass differences large enough to render energy-independent any quantity observable on earth. It is concluded that the data are consistent with this hypothesis and that, at least for the time being, any energy-dependence of the solar neutrino deficit must be regarded as just an attractive theoretical possibility, but not as a compelling reality.

Deviations from expectations have been claimed for solar, atmospheric and high energy prompt neutrinos from charm decay. This information, supplemented only by the existing very good upper limits for ...oscillations of the νμ at accelerator energies, is used as input to a phenomenological three-flavour analysis of neutrino mixing. The solution found is unique and completely determines the mass eigenstates as well as the mixing matrix relating mass and flavour eigenstates. Assuming the mass eigenstates to follow the hierarchy m1 ≪ m2 ≪ m3, their values are found to be m1 ≪ 10−2 eV, m2 = (0. eV, m3 = (19.4 ±0.7) eV. These masses are in agreement with the leptonic quadratic hierarchy of the see-saw model and large enough to render energy-independent any oscillation-induced phenomenon in solar neutrino physics observable on Earth. This possibility is not excluded by the present knowledge of solar neutrino physics. The mixing angles are determined to be θ12 = 0.55 ± 0.08, θ13 = 0.38 ± 0.06, θ23 < 0.03. Small values of θ23 are typical of any solution in which in the cosmological interesting region. The solution found is not in serious contradiction with any of the present limits to the existence of neutrino oscillations. We present a study of exclusive neutral pion production in neutrino-nucleus Neutral Current interactions using data from the NOMAD experiment at the CERN SPS. The data correspond to 1.44×106 ...muon-neutrino Charged Current interactions in the energy range 2.5⩽E⩽300 GeV. Neutrino events with only one visible π0 in the final state are expected to result from two Neutral Current processes: coherent π0 production, ν+A→ν+A+π0 and single π0 production in neutrino-nucleon scattering. The signature of coherent π0 production is an emergent π0 almost collinear with the incident neutrino while π0's produced in neutrino-nucleon deep inelastic scattering have larger transverse momenta. In this analysis all relevant backgrounds to the coherent π0 production signal are measured using data themselves. Having determined the backgrounds, and using the Rein-Sehgal model for the coherent π0 production to compute the detection efficiency, we obtain 4630±522(stat)±426(syst) corrected coherent-π0 events with E⩾0.5 GeV. We measure σ(νA→νAπ0)=72.6±8.1(stat)±6.9(syst)×10-40 cm2/nucleus. This is the most precise measurement of the coherent π0 production to date.
