We present results from MiniMax (Fermilab T-864), a small test/experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron designed to search for the production of a disoriented chiral condensate (DCC) in p-p(bar sign) ...collisions at {radical}(s)=1.8 TeV in the forward direction, {approx}3.4<{eta}<{approx}4.2. Data, consisting of 1.3x10{sup 6} events, are analyzed using the robust observables developed in an earlier paper. The results are consistent with generic, binomial-distribution partition of pions into charged and neutral species. Limits on DCC production in various models are presented. We report a measurement of the W boson mass based on an integrated luminosity of 82 pb(-1) from p collisions at sqrts = 1.8 TeV recorded in 1994-1995 by the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. We ...identify W bosons by their decays to enu, where the electron is detected in the forward calorimeters. We extract the mass by fitting the transverse mass and the electron and neutrino transverse momentum spectra of 11 089 W boson candidates. We measure M(W) = 80.691+/-0.227 GeV. By combining this measurement with our previously published central calorimeter results from data taken in 1992-1993 and 1994-1995, we obtain M(W) = 80.482+/-0.091 GeV.

The DØ preshower detector consists of scintillator strips with embedded wavelength-shifting fibers, and a readout using Visible Light Photon Counters. The response to minimum ionizing particles has ...been tested with cosmic-ray muons. We report results on the gain calibration and light-yield distributions. The spatial resolution is investigated taking into account the light sharing between strips, the effects of multiple scattering and various systematic uncertainties. The detection efficiency and noise contamination are also investigated.
We present results of searches for technirho (rho(T)), techniomega (omega(T)), and Z' particles, using the decay channels rho(T),omega(T),Z'-->e(+)e(-). The search is based on 124.8 pb(-1) of data ...collected by the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron during 1992-1996. In the absence of a signal, we set 95% C.L. upper limits on the cross sections for the processes pp-->rho(T),omega(T),Z'-->e(+)e(-) as a function of the mass of the decaying particle. For certain model parameters, we exclude the existence of degenerate rho(T) and omega(T) states with masses below about 200 GeV. We exclude a Z' with mass below 670 GeV, assuming that it has the same couplings to fermions as the Z boson.
We present a search for electroweak production of single top quarks in ≈90 pb−1 of data collected with the DØ detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. Using arrays of neural networks to separate ...signals from backgrounds, we set upper limits on the cross sections of 17 pb for the s-channel process pp̄→tb+X, and 22 pb for the t-channel process pp̄→tqb+X, both at the 95% confidence level.
We present a search for charged Higgs bosons in decays of pair-produced top quarks in pp collisions at sqrts = 1.8 TeV recorded by the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. With no evidence ...for signal, we exclude most regions of the ( M(H+/-),tan(beta)) parameter space where the decay t--> H(+)b has a branching fraction >0.36 and B(H+/--->tau(nu)(tau)) is large.
