, is described from southern Turkey, based on both sexes. The new species belongs to the
species-complex which is distributed in the Eastern Mediterranean (Crete, ...northern Libya). The new species is compared to its morphologically closest congeners. New taxonomically relevant pictures are given for two of them. The distribution of the
species-complex is summarized and discussed.

The unknown male is here described, based on specimens from the type locality: Bolu, ...Abant Mountains, Turkey. The variation of the female copulatory organs is illustrated. The relationships of the species with its putative closest congeners are discussed. The discrepancy between the morphological terminology used in the Coelotinae and Ageleninae is discussed and some suggestions how to unify them are proposed.
A new species of Zodarion, belonging to Z. thoni-group, is described from the Taurus Mountains, Turkey. By now, it is the only known species with an unmodified embolic tip in this group. The syntypes ...of Z. rhodiense Caporiacco, 1948, Z. nigrifemur Caporiacco, 1948, and the holotype of Z. granulatum Kulczyski, 1908 are revised. Zodarion rhodiense sp. reval. is revalidated and Z. nigrifemur syn. n. is assigned as its junior synonym.
This paper reviews little-known species of the dysderid spider genera Dysdera Latreille, 1804, and Dysderella Dunin, 1992 based on specimens collected in the Caucasus, Middle East, and Central Asia. ...After combining molecular phylogeny of five mitochondrial and three nuclear genes with morphological evidence, Dysderella is proposed as a junior synonym of Dysdera. In addition, three species are described as new to science: D. jaegeri Bellvert & Dimitrov sp. nov., D. naouelae Bellvert & Dimitrov sp. nov., and D. kourosh Bellvert, Zamani & Dimitrov sp. nov. Four combinations are proposed: Dysdera caspica Dunin, 1990 comb. rev., Dysdera transcaspica Dunin & Fet, 1985 comb. rev., Dysdera elburzica (Zamani, Marusik & Szűts, 2023) comb. nov. and Dysdera sancticedri (Brignoli, 1978) comb. nov. (ex. Dasumia Thorell, 1875). Furthermore, we report a first record of D. festai Caporiacco, 1929 in Turkey and its male cheliceral polymorphism. Our results illustrate the deficiencies that undermine the current taxonomy of this genus. For example, many species are described based on only one or few specimens or limited locality data. The advancements in DNA sequencing technologies applied to museum specimens reduce the need for fieldwork collection and export of fresh specimens. This highlights the significance of museum collections for improving research in this field.
The records of the agelenid spider genus Maimuna Lehtinen, 1967 from Turkey are reviewed. A new species, Maimuna anatolica sp. n. is described from Mula Province, Anatolia. The other two Turkish ...species of the genus are illustrated and re-diagnosed. Some discrepancies in the different diagnoses of the genus Maimuna are pointed out and discussed.
A new species of Uroctea Dufour, 1820 is described from the Lut desert, Iran, based on the male. The species is close to the Uroctea grossa complex, but morphologically very distinct from all of its ...congeners by having only one branch of the median apophysis.

A new species of the hitherto monotypic spider genus Proislandiana Tanasevitch, 1985 is described from the high altitude belt of Ararat Mountain (Turkey) and Aragats Mountain (Armenia). The genus ...Proislandiana is reviewed, its taxonomic relationships to the other genera are discussed. The diagnoses of the genus and its type species are revised. The distribution and the zoogeography of the two known Proislandiana species are summarized and discussed.

The classification criteria used by previous authors are evaluated and discussed, and an ...attempt is made to identify the zoogeographical status of these species. Based upon the arguments presented below, it can be concluded that the existence of spider species with Tertiary origin in the modern Bulgarian spider fauna is highly doubtful.
