La creciente importancia de los portales de compra online frente al retail físico, hace necesario el desarrollo de estrategias en el punto de venta para que los consumidores sigan acudiendo a las ...mismas a comprar. Y, en este sentido, una de las grandes diferencias (por no decir el punto fuerte) entre la tienda física y la online es la experiencia física de poder tocar y sentir el producto. La tienda no debe ser entendida solo como un punto de venta, sino que se debe configurar como un espacio donde vivir experiencias. Y es aquí, integrada dentro de la estrategia de trade marketing, donde cobra especial relevancia el marketing de los sentidos. Partiendo de esta premisa, la presente investigación se centra en el estudio del marketing sensorial utilizado por las tiendas de moda del grupo Inditex Stradivarius y ZARA y, más concretamente, en como aplican estas técnicas en sus tiendas, desde el punto de vista del olfato, el oído, la vista y el tacto. Para ello se aplicará la metodología del análisis de contenido. De los resultados se desprende que estos establecimientos aplican de manera activa las técnicas de marketing sensorial, estando presentes en todas las tiendas, al objeto de mejorar la experiencia de compra de los consumidores.
La utilización de abonos orgánicos tales como compost y humus obtenidos a partir de materias primas de residuos orgánicos, es una alternativa que cada día es más utilizada en diversos cultivos, ante ...lo cual es necesario realizar una evaluación del contenido de metales pesados, ya que estos pueden acumularse en el suelo como en los sustratos y pueden alterar el equilibrio biológico afectando a la salud del ser humano, siendo una problemática que compromete la seguridad alimentaria y salud pública. El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar el contenido de metales pesados cobre, plomo, níquel y cadmio (Cu, Pb, Ni, Cd) presentes en las materias primas (pasto de corte, gallinaza, cáscara de maní y estiércol vacuno) en la producción de abonos orgánicos (compost y humus) en la provincia de Manabí, las muestras fueron recolectadas, secadas y tamizadas, luego en el laboratorio se les realizó una digestión con ácido nítrico (HNO3) y peróxido de hidrógeno (H202)utilizando el método 3050B de USDPA. La cuantificación de los metales pesados se realizó por espectrometría ICP ICAP 7200 bajo la Norma EPA 6010C. Los resultados obtenidos fueron validados estadísticamente y demostraron que el contenido de Cu, Pb, Ni, Cd en cada una de las materias primas y abonos orgánicos estaban dentro de los límites permisibles de acuerdo a lo que se establece en el Manual técnico para el registro y control de fertilizantes, enmiendas de suelo y productos afines de uso agrícola emitido por AGROCALIDAD, en el 2020.

Few studies have investigated the role of exposure to metals and metal mixtures on oxidative stress in the general population.
We evaluated the cross-sectional association of urinary metal and metal ...mixtures with urinary oxidative stress biomarkers, including oxidized to reduced glutathione ratio (GSSG/GSH), malondialdehyde (MDA), and 8‑oxo‑7,8‑dihydroguanine (8-oxo-dG), in a representative sample of a general population from Spain (Hortega Study).
Urine antimony (Sb), barium (Ba), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), cobalt (Co), copper (Cu), molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V) and zinc (Zn) were measured by ICPMS in 1440 Hortega Study participants.
The geometric mean ratios (GMRs) of GSSG/GSH comparing the 80th to the 20th percentiles of metal distributions were 1.15 (95% confidence intervals 95% CI: 1.03–1.27) for Mo, 1.17 (1.05–1.31) for Ba, 1.23 (1.04–1.46) for Cr and 1.18 (1.00–1.40) for V. For MDA, the corresponding GMRs (95% CI) were 1.13 (1.03–1.24) for Zn and 1.12 (1.02–1.23) for Cd. In 8-oxo-dG models, the corresponding GMR (95% CI) were 1.12 (1.01–1.23) for Zn and 1.09 (0.99–1.20) for Cd. Cr for GSSG/GSH and Zn for MDA and 8-oxo-dG drove most of the observed associations. Principal component (PC) 1 (largely reflecting non-essential metals) was positively associated with GSSG/GSH. The association of PC2 (largely reflecting essential metals) was positive for GSSG/GSH but inverse for MDA.
Urine Ba, Cd, Cr, Mo, V and Zn were positively associated with oxidative stress measures at metal exposure levels relevant for the general population. The potential health consequences of environmental, including nutritional, exposure to these metals warrants further investigation.
•Barium, cadmium, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium and zinc levels were positively associated with oxidative stress measures•The associations seemed to be driven by chromium for GSSG/GSH, and by zinc for MDA and 8-oxo-dG•Findings support that oxidative damage may partly explain the associations of elevated metals with adverse health outcomes•The results raise questions regarding the safety of unnecessary supplementation in well-nourished population

Hoarding disorder is present in 2–6% of the population and can have an immense impact on the lives of patients and their families. Before its inclusion the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental ...Disorders, 5th edition, pathological hoarding was often characterized as a symptom of obsessive–compulsive disorder, and several different diagnostic assessment methods were used to identify and characterize it. Although the age of onset of pathological hoarding is an important epidemiological measure, as clarifying the age of onset of hoarding symptoms may allow for early identification and implementation of evidence‐based treatments before symptoms become clinically significant, the typical age of onset of hoarding is still uncertain. To that end, this study is a systematic review and meta‐analysis of research published in English between the years 1900 and 2016 containing information on age of onset of hoarding symptoms. Twenty‐five studies met inclusion criteria. The mean age of onset of hoarding symptoms across studies was 16.7 years old, with evidence of a bimodal distribution of onset. The authors conclude by discussing practice implications for early identification and treatment.

Several mushroom species have been pointed out as sources of antioxidant compounds, in addition to their important nutritional value. Agaricus blazei and Lentinus edodes are among the most studied species all over the world, but those studies focused on their fruiting bodies instead of other presentations, such as powdered preparations, used as supplements. In the present work the chemical composition (nutrients and bioactive compounds) and antioxidant activity (free radical scavenging activity, reducing power and lipid peroxidation inhibition) of dried powder formulations of the mentioned mushroom species (APF and LPF, respectively) were evaluated. Powder formulations of both species revealed the presence of essential nutrients, such as proteins, carbohydrates and unsaturated fatty acids. Furthermore, they present a low fat content (<2g/100g) and can be used in low-calorie diets, just like the mushrooms fruiting bodies. APF showed higher antioxidant activity and higher content of tocopherols and phenolic compounds (124 and 770μg/100g, respectively) than LPF (32 and 690μg/100g). Both formulations could be used as antioxidant sources to prevent diseases related to oxidative stress.
RESUMEN Fundamento: la artritis reumatoidea es una enfermedad autoinmunitaria crónica que produce daño articular crónico e irreversible que conlleva al deterioro de la calidad de vida y discapacidad ...permanente con prevalencia mundial de entre 1,0 y 1,5 %. Objetivo: identificar las principales características clínico-epidemiológicas de pacientes con artritis reumatoidea en el Policlínico Docente Área Este de Camagüey. Métodos: se realizó un estudio descriptivo, de serie de casos, realizado en el Policlínico Docente Área Este de Camagüey. Del universo de 108 pacientes fue seleccionada una muestra de 102, una vez aplicados los criterios de elección. Se estudiaron las variables: grupo etáreo, sexo, color de la piel, años de diagnóstico, signos y síntomas clínicos, factores de riesgo; así como complicaciones presentadas. Para el procesamiento de los datos se empleó SPSS y se expresaron en valores absolutos y porcentajes. Resultados: predominó el grupo etáreo de 60 años y más (45,0 %), las mujeres (75,5 %), pacientes de color de piel blanca (66,7 %), con artritis reumatoidea de 16-20 años de evolución (22,5 %), vasculitis (25,5 %) y dolor (94,1 %) dentro de los principales signos y síntomas, mientras el consumo de café (69,6 %) y el sexo femenino se encontraron dentro los factores de riesgo modificables y no modificables. La osteoporosis fue la más notable de las complicaciones presentadas (69,6 %). Conclusiones: en la serie estudiada sobresalió el sexo femenino, la edad avanzada, el dolor como síntoma principal, así como la osteoporosis dentro de las complicaciones presentadas.

Las Formaciones Diablo Inferior y San Fernando Superior afloran en el Piedemonte de la Cordillera Oriental, región de Yopal. Estudios Palinológicos recientes permiten determinar que los sedimentos de ...la Formación Diablo Inferior se depositaron en ambientes fluviales de alta energía durante el Mioceno Tardío. Las asociaciones Palinológicas provenientes de estos sedimentos también se caracterizan por la común presencia de palinomorfos redepositados provenientes del Mioceno Temprano, Oligoceno-Eoceno Tardío, Paleoceno y varios niveles del Cretáceo. Los sedimentos que conforman la Formación Diablo Inferior son el resultado de un intenso periodo erosivo en la Cordillera Oriental durante la fase inicial de la Orogenia Andina. Los sedimentos de la Formación San Fernando Superior se depositaron en mares someros durante el Mioceno Medio. Estos mares del Mioceno Medio ocuparon la mayor parte de las Cuencas de los Llanos Orientales, de Maracaibo, de Barinas-Apure y transgredieron hacia el sur hasta influenciar la parte más occidental de la Cuenca Amazónica. Las nuevas dataciones palinológicas permiten correlacionar las Formaciones Diablo Inferior y San Fernando Superior con la parte inferior de la Formación Guayabo y con la Formación León respectivamente. Estas dos últimas son Unidades Operacionales utilizadas por la Industria Petrolera para el subsuelo de la Cuenca de los Llanos Orientales. La Formación San Fernando Superior puede ser correlacionada también, con la Formación Pebas aflorante en la parte occidental de la Cuenca del Amazonas.

The signing of the agreement on Trade-Related Aspects on Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) had led to a process of global harmonization and tightening of intellectual property rights (IPRs) systems. As part of this process, the use of IPRs in agriculture has been increasing in the last decades. This paper studies the effect of intellectual property rights on agricultural trade, for the post-TRIPS period (1995–2011), using a new yearly index of IPRs, for 60 developed and developing countries. We study the effect of stronger IPRs on total trade, bilateral trade, and trade margins using different econometric techniques. We found that the strengthening of IPRs has been having a negative and uneven effect on agricultural trade at different levels of disaggregation. The gravity estimation showed that both the IPRs of the importer and the exporter have negative effects on total bilateral trade and that the probability of creating new bilateral trade links increases with the importer’s IPRs. Finally, we found that stronger IPRs have a negative effect on the intensive margin of trade and a positive impact on the extensive margin. Overall, the evidence shows that agricultural trade related to the developing world has been more negatively affected, which calls the attention to the idea that a common system can equally work for all countries.
The genome of Ceriporiopsis subvermispora includes 13 manganese peroxidase (MnP) genes representative of the three subfamilies described in ligninolytic fungi, which share an Mn2+‐oxidation site and ...have varying lengths of the C‐terminal tail. Short, long and extralong MnPs were heterologously expressed and biochemically characterized, and the first structure of an extralong MnP was solved. Its C‐terminal tail surrounds the haem‐propionate access channel, contributing to Mn2+ oxidation by the internal propionate, but prevents the oxidation of 2,2′‐azino‐bis(3‐ethylbenzothiazoline‐6‐sulfonate) (ABTS), which is only oxidized by short MnPs and by shortened‐tail variants from site‐directed mutagenesis. The tail, which is anchored by numerous contacts, not only affects the catalytic properties of long/extralong MnPs but is also associated with their high acidic stability. Cd2+ binds at the Mn2+‐oxidation site and competitively inhibits oxidation of both Mn2+ and ABTS. Moreover, mutations blocking the haem‐propionate channel prevent substrate oxidation. This agrees with molecular simulations that position ABTS at an electron‐transfer distance from the haem propionates of an in silico shortened‐tail form, while it cannot reach this position in the extralong MnP crystal structure. Only small differences exist between the long and the extralong MnPs, which do not justify their classification as two different subfamilies, but they significantly differ from the short MnPs, with the presence/absence of the C‐terminal tail extension being implicated in these differences.
