Furthermore, the study evaluates the effect of incorporating palm midrib nanoparticles (DPFNPs) to reinforce a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) matrix with different loadings such as 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 wt.%. The composites were extruded into filaments using a manual extruder, which was then utilized to fabricate 3D-printed specimens using a 3D-printing pen. The effect of adding DPFNPs on the composite's chemical, thermal, and mechanical properties was evaluated, with a particular focus on how these modifications influence the melt flow rate (MFR) and, subsequently, the material's printability. The results revealed that HDPE and filament composites presented similar FTIR spectra. On the other hand, the filament composites presented an increase in the thermal stability and a decrease in the mechanical strength with increasing DPFNP content in the HDPE matrix. The filaments were successfully printed using a 3D-printing pen. Thus, using DPFNPs in the HDPE matrix presents a low-cost alternative for filament production and may expand 3D-printing applications in interior and furniture design with more sustainable materials. Future work will delve into optimizing these composites for improved printability and assessing their recyclability, aiming to broaden their applications in 3D printing and beyond.
A designer's work is based on creativity, innovation, and fresh ideas therefore, they are constantly searching for creative designs, especially when it comes to furniture and internal design. ...Meanwhile, innovative materials and ideas are actively sought after by designers for usage in furniture and interior design. In this scope, our study explores the practical implications of using date palm fronds and plastic waste from drinking water bottle to create a composite with varying loadings of date palm frond nanoparticles (DPFNP) at 10, 20, and 30 wt % and its applications on furniture design. A desktop extruder was used to form the composites into filaments, which were subsequently used to create 3D-printed specimens. The impact of adding (DPFNP) on the composite's mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties was assessed. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) drinking water bottle waste, and filament composites presented similar FTIR spectra; however, filament composites presented increased thermal stability and mechanical strength. The filament with 10 wt% DPFNP has been effectively printed with a 3D printer, demonstrating the practicality of employing the developed filaments and perhaps encouraging new uses in furniture and interior design. As a result, employing DPFNP in the recycled PET (RPET) matrix offers a cheap substitute for making filaments. It could increase the use of 3D printing in furniture and interior design by using more environmentally friendly materials. This result will be considered the first phase of future research investigation on a full-scale furniture prototype, examining its physical, thermal, and mechanical properties.

المياه هي سر الوجود والبقاء، لا تشكل المياه عنصر وظيفي في العمارة الإسلامية بل تحمل قيمة ضمنية نابعة من الاعتقاد الديني، يقول الله عز وجل: (وجعلنا من الماء كل شيء حي أفلا يؤمنون) الأنبياء/30، تتجلى ...أهمية المياه في العقيدة الإسلامية في الوضوء وما يحمله من رمزية للطهر، أيضا السنة النبوية الشريفة تأكد وتحث على عدم الإسراف في المياه حتى لو كان الإنسان يعيش بجانب نهر جاري، تلعب المياه في العمارة الإسلامية دور جوهري على محورين أساسيين الأول رمزي كونها تمثل في الوضوء النقاء البدني والنفسي أيضا والمحور الثاني على الصعيد الوظيفي كونها تشكل عنصر فعال في تلطيف الجو في البناء سواء داخليا أو خارجيا، السبيل هو أحد الأبنية الإسلامية والتي استخدمت وظيفيا في توزيع المياه قديما على المساكن أو عابري السبيل. ازدهر السبيل تصميميا في العصر المملوكي حيث وجد السبيل كمنشئة مستقلة يعلوها الكتاب الذي كان يستخدم لتحفيظ القرآن، يناقش البحث الجوانب الوظيفية والجمالية كذلك الرمزية للمياه في سياق العمارة الإسلامية وتسلط الضوء على أحد أهم المنشآت التي تعكس تلك القيم وهو السبيل والذي يندرج تحت المنشآت الخدمية الخيرية من خلال المنهج الوصفي التحليلي يعرض البحث الجوانب الوظيفية والجمالية لمنشئة السبيل وكيف أنها صيغت لتلبي ليس فقط البعد الوظيفي والجمالي بل أيضا لتعكس القيم الرمزية النابعة من قيمة المياه في الإسلام يمكن صياغة مشكلة البحث في صورة عدد من التساؤلات: ما هي أهمية المياه كونها عنصر حيوي لجميع الكائنات في العمارة الإسلامية؟، ما هو مردود العقيدة الإسلامية على مخرجات العمارة في تلك الفترة؟ هل راعى المصمم المعماري الجوانب الوظيفية والجمالية فقط أم كان هناك بعد عقائدي خفي تحكم على المخرجات التصميمية؟ هدف البحث المياه هي سر الوجود والعنصر لاحيوي لكل الكائنات الحية، العقيدة الإسلامية حثت على الحفاظ على المياه في كثير من الآيات القرآنية والأحاديث النبوية، بل كثير من الآيات توضح القيمة الفلسفية للمياه في الإسلام كونها ترمز للنقاء والطهارة. البحث يهدف إلى عرض تحليلي للقيمة المياه في الإسلام وكيف انعكس ذلك على الجانب التصميمي متمثلا في منشئة السبيل. والربط ما بين الفكر العقائدي والمخرجات التصميمية. منهجية البحث من خلال المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، يتم استعراض وتتبع أهمية المياه في الإسلام وما تحمله من قيم روحانية وإنسانية، كذلك رمزية المياه في الإسلام، وباتباع نفس المنهجية يتم عرض منشئة السبيل وعناصر التصميمية والاستدلال من ذلك على المنهجية الفكرية للمصمم المعماري وتأثره بالقيم العقائدية.

Water is essential to life and survival, it is not only a functional addition to Islamic architecture but also an integral part of the Islamic religion and beliefs, The Holy Quran states that "Every ...living thing is made of water", and the importance of this thought is visible in Islam since its used for Ablution five times daily; however, its mentioned in the Sunnah that water conservation is embedded in Islam even if you are living on a shore. The role played by water in Islamic architecture is both symbolic (representing spiritual purity) and practical (weather adjustment). Sabil is one of the emerged Islamic architectures that was used as a water dispenser, where water has been harnessed to serve and provide passers-by, it flourished under the rule of the Mamluks in Egypt where they constructed a standalone Sabil Kuttab, usually inflicted a Kuttab (Quranic School for boys) on top. This paper investigates the aesthetic, functional, and symbolic values of water in Islamic architecture, and highlights the value of Sabil as an important element in the Islamic city fall under the charity facilities, through analytical description of its architectural as well as the functional, aesthetic, and symbolic aspects which serve the concept of heritage revival by being a source of inspiration.The research problem can be framed in a set of questions; What is the importance of water as an essential element of life in Islamic architecture? What is the impact of muslim beliefs on design ? Did the formation of Islamic architecture only consider the functionality of the building and the aesthetic sides, or were hidden religeous beliefs conveyed?.
Objectives
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of using the anterior rectus abdominis sheath flap in the repair of burst abdomen and midline incisional hernia.
Background
Complex ...abdominal wall hernias can be challenging for the reconstructive surgeon. The use of autologous tissue is preferable when possible. This repair entails a single fascial incision releasing the anterior rectus sheath as a turnover flap for abdominal wall reconstruction. This allows large defects to be closed with autologous tissue alone in a two-layer fascial repair in a vest-over-pants manner in a simple, straightforward surgical approach.
Materials and methods
Thirty participants requiring open abdominal management over a 26-month period were reviewed who underwent the anterior rectus abdominis sheath flap which released by lateral incision that meeting in midline as open book closing the defect ± the mesh. Hospital and office-based charts were reviewed.
Results
Thirty patients included in this study have risk factors such as anaemia (14:46.7%), malnutrition (11:36.7%), smoking (17:56.7%), obesity (16:53.3%), malignancy (17:56.7%), diabetes (8:26.7%) and chest complications (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) (12:40%), with the cause of primary lesion divided into intestinal obstruction (6:20%), gastrointestinal tract malignancy (10:33.34%), miscellaneous (gynaecological and urological) (7:23.33%) and traumatic laparatomy (7:23.33%). Postoperative complications were wound infection (6:20%), seroma (5:16.6%), skin necrosis (3:10%), recurrence (1:3.3%), haematoma (1:3.3%) and no fistula. The average length of follow-up was 6-26 months.
Conclusion
The use of the anterior rectus abdominis sheath flap is an important technique for fascial closure in burst abdomen and midline incisional hernia; it is a simple and natural technique and provides a fascial closure with low recurrence and acceptable complications.
Background: Laparoscopic hemicolectomy for colonic cancer can be performed safely with morbidity, mortality and long-term results comparable to those of open surgery. Despite these advantages, ...laparoscopic right hemicolectomy is technically challenging and warrants intensive structured training to minimize conversion to open surgery and associated complications. Anastomosis could be done either by hand sewn or stapler.Methods: Present study was a prospective study. It included 30 patients presented to Menoufia University Hospital and El Salam Oncology Center with carcinoma of right colon from March 2016 until September 2018. The patients were divided into two groups each group of 15 patients. In the first group, author used the hand sewing for anastomosis compared to the stapled anastomosis in the second group.Results: In the first group, 11 of them were males (73.3%) and 4 were females (26.7 %) with the mean age was 55.93±8.64 years. In the second group, 6 of them were males (40%) and 9 were females (60%) with the mean age was 48.33±17.97 years. In the first group, the mean time of anastomosis was 36.0±4.71 minutes and in the second group the mean time of anastomosis was 21.67±5.56 minutes. In the first group, 1 case was complicated by leakage from anastomosis (6.2%), 1 case was complicated by wound infection (6.2%). In the second group, there was no complication.Conclusions: In this study, the main advantages of doing a stapled anastomosis are the operative time, hospital stay and intraoperative bleeding. Postoperative complications than the hand sewn anastomosis.
Background: Hysterectomy is one of the most frequently performed surgical procedure. Though there are three approaches in hysterectomy (open, vaginal and laparoscopic), still there are controversies ...regarding the optimal route for performing it.Methods: This prospective comparative study included 42 obese patients subjected for pan-hysterectomy as a treatment. The forty-two patients were allocated into two groups: group (A) subjected to laparoscopic pan-hysterectomy, group (B) subjected to open pan-hysterectomy.Results: There was significant difference between the two groups regarding mean operative time, blood loss, analgesic requirements and hospital stay, while no significant difference regarding intra-operative complications.Conclusions: Laparoscopic hysterectomy in obese patients has emerged as a viable, safe and better alternative to open hysterectomy amongst appropriately trained surgeons.
