Analyses utilizing mobile positioning data rarely provide an exact method of data transformation to target spatial units. A common reason is likely the fact that researchers have already worked with ...spatially aggregated data prepared by the mobile operator or processing company. The article demonstrates the critical importance of employing an appropriate method to transform data from the mobile network into target spatial units, ensuring the precision and accuracy of the results. By evaluating ten different methods of data transformation from the mobile network topology to a population grid of 1 × 1 km, the optimal transformation has been sought. The most promising results were obtained through the methods using auxiliary information. While a dasymetric transformation utilizing building volume as the ancillary layer proved to be the most accurate, the utilization of free data from the Global Human Settlement Layer project also exhibits encouraging potential. Frequently used interpolation methods such as point-to-polygon (the user's location is considered to be the same as the base transceiver station's position.) or areal weighting are in fact the least appropriate methods of data transformation at a subregional level.

During the last decades, North America as well as Europe have experienced a significant boom of craft breweries. While it has been understood mainly as a result of neolocalism, we argue that this ...view is overly unilateral and depending on spatial context. Other factors like glocalization may potentially also affect the emergence of craft breweries. This paper examined the factors influencing the expansion of craft breweries in seven regions of Czechia and Poland, two Central European countries that share similar history but differ in their brewing traditions. Based on semi-structured interviews with representatives of 59 breweries, we identified important similarities but also fundamental differences. Many breweries have indeed been significantly influenced by neolocalism, while some did not capitalize on it, and others even directly rejected it. The role of spatial context has also manifested, particularly through the increased importance of glocalization in several regions.
In the case of Czechia, with their unprecedented development, microbrewing became one of the most dynamic industries. Characteristics of microbreweries are becoming the opposite of the globalized ...industry branches, but they are also becoming the supplement of them, with typical stress on local and regional level. Therefore, microbreweries are often object of study in cultural and economic geography as it enables to test concepts and approaches coming from these two sub- disciplines of geography. The main aims of this thesis is to present and examine factors which lead to the founding of microbreweries and their localization, which are analysed on the representative sample of microbreweries coming from Pardubice region and Prague. Moreover, next aim of the thesis is to find out, how much microbrewing boom could be explained by concepts of neolocalism and glocalization. Results of the research showed three common factors, such as passion for beer, tradition, and expanding an existing business activity. But also several individual factors leading to founding the microbreweries were found.
