For the first time, a reproducible surface plasmon-enhanced optical sensor for the detection of gaseous formaldehyde was proposed, which was fabricated by depositing a mixture of CdSe@ZnS quantum ...dots (QDs), fumed silica (FS), and gold nanoparticles (GNs) on the surface of a silica sphere array to meet the urgent requirement of a rapid, sensitive, and highly convenient formaldehyde detection method. Because of the spectral overlap between QDs and GNs, plasmon-enhanced fluorescence was observed in the film of QDs/FS/GNs. When exposed to formaldehyde molecules, the enhanced fluorescence was quenched linearly with the increase of formaldehyde concentration in the range of 0.5–2.0 ppm. The reason is attributed to the nonradiative electron transfer from QDs to the carbonyl of formaldehyde molecules with the assistance of amino groups. Our results demonstrate that the designed sensors are capable of detecting ultralow concentration gaseous formaldehyde at room temperature with a fast response–recovery time and excellent selectivity, stability, and reproducibility. This work provides a simple and low-cost approach for optical formaldehyde sensor fabrication and shows promising applications in environmental detection.
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is one of the leading causes of chronic liver diseases and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Golgi protein 73 (GP73), a resident Golgi membrane protein, is a novel ...serum biomarker for the diagnosis of liver diseases and HCC. Although previous studies have demonstrated that HCV upregulates GP73 expression and GP73 promotes HCV secretion through its interaction with apolipoprotein E (ApoE), the exact mechanism underlying GP73 regulates HCV secretion remains unclear. In this study, we demonstrated that GP73 mediates the interaction of ApoE with HCV NS5A protein to promote HCV secretion. We revealed that GP73 is colocalized with HCV replication complex in infected-Huh7.5.1 cells. Further studies demonstrated that GP73 interacted with both NS5A and ApoE proteins. Furthermore, knockdown of GP73 significantly reduced the binding of NS5A with ApoE, and the production of virus particles in culture supernatant. Taken together, our studies revealed that GP73 promotes HCV secretion by directly mediating the interaction of ApoE with HCV replication complex through binding with HCV NS5A.
•Apolipoprotein E is associated and colocalized with Golgi Protein 73.•GP73 is colocalized with hepatitis C virus replication complex.•GP73 is associated and colocalized with HCV nonstructural protein 5A.•GP73 mediates the interaction of HCV NS5A and ApoE.
In the design of 500 kV heavy ice area transmission tower, reasonable selection of tower slope can effectively reduce the cost of the project. Taking the type of 53ZBC33 tower, which is in a 20mm ice ...area 500 kV transmission line, as an example, a comprehensive calculation of 8 different slopes, which range from 0.09 to 0.16, in 60m, 54m, 48m and 42m body-high transmission towers is carried out. A total of 32 models are established. The construction of the tower is based on steel consumption cost, foundation cost and compensation for the occupied land of the tower foundation. From the price comparison analysis, the optimal gradient of transmission tower varies slightly when the body-high of the tower is different, but the overall optimal slope fluctuates in the range of 0.10 to 0.13. In the design project, the optimal slope of the tower can be quickly calculated by the range of 0.10-0.13.
In order to improve the waterproof and mildew resistance of electronic equipment, a superhydrophobic coating was prepared on a circuit board. First, hexadecyl trimethoxysilane was used to modify the ...nano silica and nano zinc oxide particles, and then the modified nanoparticles were mixed with the silica sol. Then the superhydrophobic coating was prepared on the surface of the printed circuit board by a spraying process. The preparation technology and physical and chemical properties of the coating were studied. The contact angle of the final sample can reach 169.47°, the sliding angle can reach 1.2°, it has good acid and alkali corrosion resistance, resistance to NaCl, self-cleaning performance and antimildew performance.

SAR observes only one side of the earth surface and tells different targets by slant range. As a result, in the SAR image some kinds of distortions appear which include compressing in the range ...direction, shadow, foreshortening and layover. Using the RD locating model, based on the DEM of the corresponding area, a simulated SAR image is produced. Then, get GCPS by registering the simulated SAR image and the original SAR image and transfrom the SAR image with the GCPS. In order to evaluate the effect of orthorectification in the related applications, the building areas are extracted followed by comparing the extraction results of the original image and the rectification image using the detection rate and false alarm rate. Finally it turns out that locating errors decrease and extraction of building areas is more precise.

Driver attention prediction implies the intention understanding of where the driver intends to go and what object the driver concerned about, which commonly provides a driving task-guided traffic ...scene understanding. Some recent works explore driver attention prediction in critical or accident scenarios and find a positive role in helping accident prediction, while the promotion ability is constrained by the prediction accuracy of driver attention maps. In this work, we explore the network connection gating mechanism for driver attention prediction (Gate-DAP). Gate-DAP aims to learn the importance of different spatial, temporal, and modality information in driving scenarios with various road types, occasions, and light and weather conditions. The network connection gating in Gate-DAP consists of a spatial encoding network gating, long-short-term memory network gating, and information type gating modules. Each connection gating operation is plug-and-play and can be flexibly assembled, which makes the architecture of Gate-DAP transparent for evaluating different spatial, temporal, and information types for driver attention prediction. Evaluations on DADA-2000 and BDDA datasets verify the superiority of the proposed method with the comparison with state-of-the-art approaches.
The basic idea of traditional scaling model measurement method uses electromagnetic similarity relation to realize scaling transformation. The electromagnetic similarity for a scattering problem ...requires that the electrical size kl remain constant and the target is a perfect electric conducting (PEC) model. In this paper, based on our previous work 8 and the proposed extended GTD (geometric theory of diffraction) model 9, we derive the scaling relation for the thinly-coated targets at the same frequency. The scaling relation is verified by simulation experiment. The results show that the thinly coated models conform to the new scaling relation under certain error conditions.

The basic idea of traditional scaling model measurement method is to use electromagnetic similarity relation to realize scaling transformation. The electromagnetic similarity for a scattering problem ...requires that the electrical size kl remain constant. In this paper, based on the concept of target scattering center, a new analytical expression of target scattering field with the electric size kl is derived, and then a new scaling relation and a scaling model measurement method are proposed. A simulation experiment validates the proposed model and scaling method.
