... In this paper, an important theorem of equivalence between system of linear Volterra integro-fractional differential equations (LVIFDE's) with constant coefficients in Caputo derivative scene and the corresponding well-known Volterra integral equation system is demonstrate.
Kimura's disease is an uncommon chronic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology often associated with an important category of reactive lymphadenopathy in Oriental populations. The enlarged nodes ...are mostly located in the head and neck region. The main pathologic changes in the lymph nodes include florid germinal centers, Warthin-Finkeldey polykaryocytes, vascularization of the germinal centers, increased postcapillary veinules in the paracortex, eosinophilic infiltration and fibrosis. The disease is often confused with angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia. Because the adenopathy may be the sole presentation of the disease, the accurate diagnosis may spare the patients unnecessary medical and/or surgical treatment. We report a case of cervical lymphadenopathy as a sole presentation of Kimura's disease.
Examines Arab governments' perceptions of their countries' fertility, their desire to intervene in order to reduce or increase the rate of population growth, and measures taken to influence level of ...fertility. Describes family planning programs and access to methods of fertility regulation. (Abstract amended)
The political & demographic dominance of Christians (Maronites, Catholics, & Orthodox) in Lebanon was established following the last Lebanese census of 1932, which was the last one conducted by the ...French colonial government. Here, it is argued that significant transformations in the size, education, & political consciousness of the Muslim population call for a reappraisal of the political arrangement. However, the Christians, specifically the Maronites, consistently resist proposals for a new census, & obscure adequate statistics on population size & religious composition. Official demographic statistics are criticized, & calculations presented that trace the gradual increase of the Muslim population since 1932, indicating a current Muslim majority of 65%. 5 Tables, 1 Figure, 15 References. While several countries have recorded declines in their fertility rates, the overall level of fertility in the Arab world remains high. If prevailing levels persist, the population of the Arab world ...is expected to double every 23.3 years. Although many experts consider that an increase of this magnitude is a deterrent to socioeconomic development, the fertility policies of most Arab countries reflect a different view. The present study reviews the perceptions of 21 governments with regard to fertility behavior in the context of socioeconomic development. The factors that determine their willingness to intervene in order to discourage or promote fertility among their people and the measures taken to do so are discussed.
