We present the status of the Gigaton Volume Detector in Lake Baikal (Baikal-GVD) designed for the detection of high energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin. The telescope consists of functionally ...independent clusters, sub-arrays of optical modules (OMs), which are connected to shore by individual electro-optical cables. During 2015 the GVD demonstration cluster, comprising 192 OMs, has been successfully operated in Lake Baikal. In 2016 this array was upgraded to baseline configuration of GVD cluster with 288 OMs arranged on eight vertical strings. Thus the instrumented water volume has been increased up to about 5.9 Mtons. The array was commissioned in early April 2016 and takes data since then. We describe the configuration and design of the 2016 array. Preliminary results obtained with data recorded in 2015 are also discussed.
Over the past few years, the TAIGA (Tunka Advanced Instrument for cosmic ray physics and Gamma-ray Astronomy) observatory has been being deployed in the Tunka Valley, Republic of Buryatia. It is ...designed for studying gamma rays of energy above 30 TeV and performing searches for sources of galactic cosmic rays with energies in the vicinity of 1 PeV, which is an energy region around the classic knee in the cosmic-ray energy spectrum. The first phase of the observatory will be situated at a distance of about 50 km from Lake Baikal at the site of the Tunka-133 array. The TAIGA gamma observatory will include a network of 500 wide-angle (0.6 sr) Cherenkov detectors (TAIGA-HiSCORE array) and up to 16 atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (ACT) designed for analyzing the EAS images (imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes, or IACT) and positioned within an area of 5 km
2
. The observatory will also include muon detectors of total area 2000 m
2
distributed over an area of 1 km
2
. Within the next three years, it is planned to enhance the area of the TAIGA-HiSCORE array by a factor of four—from 0.25 km
2
to 1 km
2
; to supplement the existing IACT with two new ones; and to deploy new muon detectors with a total coverage of 200 m
2
. The structure of the new observatory is described along with the data analysis techniques used. The most interesting physical results are presented, and the research program for the future is discussed.

Baikal-GVD is a next generation, kilometer-scale neutrino telescope currently under construction in Lake Baikal. GVD is formed by multi-megaton subarrays (clusters) and is designed for the detection ...of astrophysical neutrino fluxes at energies from a few TeV up to 100 PeV. The design of Baikal-GVD allows one to search for astrophysical neutrinos with flux values measured by IceCube already at early phases of the array construction. We present here preliminary results of the search for high-energy neutrinos via the cascade mode obtained in 2015 and 2016.
We present data on the luminescence of the Baikal water medium collected with the Baikal-GVD neutrino telescope. This three-dimensional array of light sensors allows the observation of time and ...spatial variations of the ambient light field. In 2016, we observed a maximum of luminescence activity between July and October.

The Tunka Advanced Instrument for Gamma-ray and cosmic ray Astrophysics (TAIGA) is a hybrid experiment for the measurement of Extensive Air Showers (EAS) with good spectral resolution in the TeV to ...PeV energy range. In this domain, the long-sought Pevatrons can be detected. Currently the TAIGA detector complex combines a two wide angle shower front Cherenkov light sampling timing arrays (HiSCORE and Tunka-133), two 4 m class, 10
aperture Imaging Air Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs) and 240 m
surface and underground charged particle detector stations. Our goal is to introduce a new hybrid reconstruction technique, combining the good angular and shower core resolution of HiSCORE with the gamma-hadron separation power of imaging air Cherenkov telescopes. This approach allows to maximize the effective area and simultaneously to reach a good gamma-hadron separation at low energies (few teraelectronvolts). At higher energies, muon detectors are planned to enhance gamma-hadron separation. During the commissioning phase of the first and second IACT, several sources were observed. First detections of known sources with the first telescope show the functionality of the TAIGA IACTs. Here, the status of the TAIGA experiment will be presented, along with first results from the current configuration.
In this paper, we consider a single machine parallel batch scheduling problem subject to chains of jobs. We present polynomial lower and upper bounds as well as their experimental comparison and ...relative errors. According to the results of the numerical experiment, the relative difference between upper and lower bounds does not exceed 1.5.
Baikal-GVD is a 1 km

scale neutrino telescope now under construction in Lake Baikal. The sensitive volume of the detector is currently around 0.5 km
3
. Muons form through the exchange of W-bosons ...in the interaction between muon- and partial tau-neutrinos near the telescope. The muons then propagate to great distances in the lake’s water. Reconstructing their trajectory allows us to obtain the most accurate estimate of the direction of neutrinos at telescopes of this type. Angular resolution can be as good as 0.5° for fairly long muon tracks. The current state of affairs in analyzing track events at the Baikal-GVD is discussed.
The main goal of the Baikal-GVD deep-sea neutrino telescope is to detect high-energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin by reconstructing muon tracks or showers of particles generated in interactions ...of neutrino with water. Since 2020, Baikal-GVD has been monitoring IceCube telescope alerts about detecting neutrinos with energies of more than 100 TeV. This work presents results from searching for matches between Baikal-GVD events and IceCube neutrino alerts from September 2020 to April 2022.
The status of the Baikal-GVD neutrino telescope under construction and its main scientific results are presented. The detector consists of 2916 optical sensors located at 81 vertical strings deep ...below the surface of Lake Baikal. Its geometric configuration is optimized for detecting neutrinos with energies above 100 TeV. Events from muon neutrinos were identified, the flux of which is consistent with the expectation for the flux of atmospheric neutrinos. The data obtained during the alerts of the ANTARES and IceCube telescopes were analyzed. Candidate events for high-energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin have been obtained.
