It is currently uncertain to what extent genetic transformations of strategic crops (targeting diverse traits) have improved their N use efficiency (NUE), and what the key factors affecting their NUE ...are. Based on data collected from 130 publications, the effect sizes of genetic transformations and the key factors influencing NUE for three major cereal crops (rice, maize, and wheat), were investigated using a meta-analysis approach. Genetic transformations increased yield, shoot biomass, N uptake efficiency (NUpE), and partial factor productivity of N (PFPN) in the crops, but decreased shoot NUE (SNUE) and grain NUE (GNUE). Transporter genes improved yield and NUE parameters more efficiently, than did the other gene types. The effect sizes for some NUE parameters varied according to crop species and experimental conditions but did not differ between the overexpression and ectopic expression methods. Most effect sizes did not correlate with gene overexpression levels. These results indicate a promising potential of genetic transformations approaches for improving certain NUE parameters.

Accurate objects detection in remote sensing images is very important, because security, transportation, and rescue applications in military and civilian fields require fully analyzing and using these images. To address the problem that many small-sized objects in remote sensing images are difficult to detect, this paper proposes an improved S2ANET-SR model based on S2A-NET network. In this paper, the original and reduced image are fed to the detection network at the same time, and then a super-resolution enhancement module for the reduced image is designed to enhance the feature extraction of small objects, after that, the perceptual loss and texture matching loss is proposed as supervision. Extensional experiments are conducted to evaluate the performance on the general remote sensing dataset DOTA, and the results show that our proposed method can achieve 74.47% mAP, which is 0.79% better than the accuracy of S2A-NET.
Aiming at the task allocation problem of heterogeneous unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) swarms, this paper proposes a dynamic extended consensus-based bundle algorithm (DECBBA) based on consistency ...algorithm. Our algorithm considers the multi-UUV task allocation problem that each UUV can individually complete multiple tasks, constructs a "UUV-task" matching matrix and designs new marginal utility, reward and cost functions for the influence of time, path and UUV voyage. Furthermore, in view of the unfavorable factors that restrict the underwater acoustic communication range between UUVs in the real environment, our algorithm complete dynamic task allocation of UUV swarms with optimization in load balance indicator by the update of the UUV individual and the task completion status in the discrete time stage. The performance indicators (including global utility and task completion rate) of the dynamic task allocation algorithm in the scenario with communication constraints can be well close to the static algorithm in the ideal scenario without communication constraints. The simulation experiment results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can quickly and efficiently obtain the dynamic and conflict-free task allocation assignment of UUV swarms with great performance.

In the 110 nm CMOS process, simulation results show that the designed 5-bit TDC achieves an effective number of bits (ENOB) at 4.72 bits and a figure-of-merit (FOM) at 104.7-162.3 fJ/step, with a power consumption ranging from 60 µW to 93 µW. Compared with traditional counting methods, the proposed TDC can reduce counting power consumption by 30%.
Energy transition, as a crucial aspect of the country’s high-value-added economic development, involves the construction of an energy transition index system and empirical analysis using methods such ...as the entropy weighting method, kernel density estimation, Markov chain, Dagum Gini coefficient, σ-convergence, and β-convergence. This study measures the level of energy transition in 280 Chinese cities from 2010 to 2019 and analyzes their evolutionary trends, regional disparities, structural differences, and convergence. The findings reveal that China’s energy transition generally exhibits characteristics of “improvement in development levels and reduction in absolute disparities”. The disparities in energy transition primarily stem from developmental differences among the three major regions, displaying typical σ-convergence and β-convergence characteristics. This analysis contributes to understanding the real level and distribution features of China’s energy transition, providing a basis for identifying focal points for enhancing energy transition in the current and future stages.
Blue-emitting perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) are known to exhibit low photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (QY) compared to green- and red-emitting counterparts, which is due to the presence of ...localized trap states on the surface. Here, we demonstrate a new method to synthesize high-efficiency blue-emitting perovskite NCs by anion exchange of 0D and 3D perovskite NCs. The remarkable enhancement of the PL QY is caused by surface reconstruction and subsequent suppression of nonradiative recombination centers of 3D perovskite NCs during the anion exchange. Remarkably, these high-efficiency NCs have two appealing applications. First, they can be applied in backlight display, where the GaN light-emitting diode is usually used as the blue emission source. We found that the as-prepared NCs were facile to tune their emission peaks and possessed narrow linewidths. As a downconverter, the NCs realize an ultrapure blue light for backlight display. Second, benefiting from the existence of 0D perovskite, anticounterfeiting inks can also be achieved based on these blue-emitting perovskite NCs. The encoding/reading strategy relies on the conversion of 0D perovskites. These findings provide new opportunities for blue-emitting perovskite NCs and broaden their application.
Soil microorganisms play an important role in the ecosystem, and have a certain relationship with the continuous cropping obstacles, which are common with sweet potato. However, there are few reports ...on the effects of continuous cropping of sweet potato on the microbial community structure in the rhizospheric soil. Here, we investigated the effects of continuous cropping of sweet potato on the fungal community structure in rhizospheric soil, in order to provide theoretical basis for prevention and control of continuous cropping obstacles. This study used X18 and Y138 varieties as experimental materials. Soil samples were collected during the early period of planting and harvest in two consecutive years, and fungi were analyzed using Illumina Miseq. Results showed that the fungi diversity and richness in rhizospheric soil of X18 and Y138 were significantly increased after continuous cropping; the most dominant fungi phylum was Ascomycota, which decreased significantly after continuous cropping. In addition, the content of beneficial fungi such as
Chaetomium
was reduced, while that of harmful fungi such as
Verticillium
,
Fusarium
, and
Colletotrichum
were increased. The composition of X18 and Y138 fungal community in the same sampling period after continuous cropping was similar, although that of the same sweet potato variety significantly differed with the sampling period. Overall, our results indicate that continuous cropping alters the fungal community structure of the sweet potato rhizospheric soil, such that the content of beneficial fungi decrease, while that of harmful fungi increase, thereby increasing soil-borne diseases and reducing the yield and quality of sweet potato. Furthermore, these effects are different for different sweet potato varieties. Thus, during actual production, attention should be paid to maintain the stability of sweet potato rhizospheric soil micro-ecology through rotation or application of microbial fertilizers and soil amendments to alleviate continuous cropping obstacles.
Order distribution and routing optimization of takeout delivery is a challenging research topic in the field of e-commerce. In this paper, we propose a drone–rider joint delivery mode with ...multi-distribution center collaboration for the problems of limited-service range, unreasonable distribution, high delivery cost, and tight time windows in the takeout delivery process. The model is constructed with the minimum delivery cost and the overall maximum customer satisfaction as the objective function, and a two-stage heuristic algorithm is designed to solve the model. In the first stage, Euclidean distance is used to classify customers into the regions belonging to different distribution centers, and the affinity propagation (AP) clustering algorithm is applied to allocate orders from different distribution centers. The second stage uses an improved tabu search algorithm for route optimization based on specifying the number of rider and drone calls. This paper takes China’s Ele.me and Meituan takeout as the reference object and uses the Solomon data set for research. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional rider delivery mode, the drone–rider joint delivery mode with multiple distribution center collaboration can effectively reduce the number of riders used, lower the delivery cost, and improve the overall customer satisfaction.
In this paper, the non-ideal factors, which include spatial noise and temporal noise, are analyzed and suppressed in the high-speed spike-based image sensor, which combines the high-speed scanning ...sequential format with the method that uses the interspike time interval to indicate the scene information. In this imager, spatial noise contains device mismatch, which results in photo response non-uniformity (PRNU) and the non-uniformity of dark current. By multiplying the measured coefficient matrix the photo response non-uniformity is suppressed, and the non-uniformity of dark current is suppressed by correcting the interspike time interval based on the time interval of dark current. The temporal noise is composed of the shot noise and thermal noise. This kind of noise can be eliminated when using the spike frequency to restore the image. The experimental results show that, based on the spike frequency method, the standard deviation of the image decreases from 18.4792 to 0.5683 in the uniform bright light by using the calibration algorithm. While in the relatively uniform dark condition, the standard deviation decreases from 1.5812 to 0.4516. Based on interspike time interval method, because of time mismatch and temporal noise, the standard deviation of the image changes from 27.4252 to 27.4977 in the uniform bright light by using the calibration algorithm. While in the uniform dark condition, the standard deviation decreases from 2.361 to 0.3678.
A major goal of the “14th Five-Year Plan” phase is to promote the green transformation of industrial enterprises to address the ‘dual carbon’ challenge. Utilizing the China Industrial Enterprises ...Database and the Polluting Enterprises Database, this paper calculates the carbon emissions of Chinese industrial enterprises from 2001 to 2010 at the micro level. It presents an analysis of the heterogeneity of carbon emission efficiency (TPI) in industrial enterprises, as well as the factors influencing corporate TPI. This study finds that enterprises within a subdivided industry exhibit heterogeneous levels of TPI, with carbon emissions largely affected by the structure of energy consumption. The researchers suggest accelerating the transition of industrial enterprises to green technology and argue that carbon emission policies should shift from controlling direct total targets to strengthening market-oriented policy tools. Carbon reduction targets should be more stringent for enterprises with lower TPI, considering the heterogeneity among enterprises. To meet the challenges of emission reduction, industrial enterprises are encouraged to actively reform their energy consumption structure. Government policies should aim to reduce clean energy costs and encourage the use of clean energy by industrial enterprises.
