From the perspective of average viewer, high definition video streams such as HD (High Definition) and UHD (Ultra HD) are increasing their internet presence year over year. This is not surprising, ...having in mind expansion of HD streaming services, such as YouTube, Netflix etc. Therefore, high definition video streams are starting to challenge network resource allocation with their bandwidth requirements and statistical characteristics. Need for analysis and modeling of this demanding video traffic has essential importance for better quality of service and experience support. In this paper we use an easy-to-apply statistical model for prediction of 4K video traffic. Namely, seasonal autoregressive modeling is applied in prediction of 4K video traffic, encoded with HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding). Analysis and modeling were performed within R programming environment using over 17.000 high definition video frames. It is shown that the proposed methodology provides good accuracy in high definition video traffic modeling.
Animation frame content is analyzed in this paper. The animation found in frame/video content is usually characterized by specific color distribution and texture. The existence of animation within a ...frame can be described by carefully selected features. We analyzed both fully and partially animated frames. Here, we present our initial results related to automatic animation interpretation using different types of video sequences.

Band stop filter or band-rejection filter, with narrow attenuation characteristic is described in this paper. These filters do not pass signals within the cutoff frequencies. Аt the specific request ...of the customer, a crystal filter was realized, which operates at a frequency of 48MHz. When measuring the non-linearities of power amplifiers, a very narrow notch filter can be very useful to avoid the carrier frequency. Use of the filter may ensure that the maximum input power of a spectrum analyser used to detect spurious content will not be exceeded. Such filters are used in modern telecommunications for civilian and military purposes.
The industrial consortium AOMedia has recently developed the AV1 (AOMedia Video 1) format considered as a successor of VP9. One of the main goals with the video coding and compression format is to ...enable efficient Web based video content delivery, as in the case of OTT (Over-the-top) services. Nowadays, there are different AV1 software implementations available for experimental analysis besides the reference tool libaom. The Scalable Video Technology for AV1, or SVT-AV1 CODEC, is oriented towards further optimizations for specific Intel hardware. In this paper, we have performed a video quality assessment experiment with some of the SVT-AV1 implementations using 4k like video. The results show the advantages of SVT-AV1 format, as well as its performance for different quantization factors.
Entire world has been dealing with the number of new Coronavirus 2 or COVID-19 cases. The spread of this severe acute respiratory syndrome has produced many concerns worldwide. Having data related to ...coronavirus available for tests, novel models for forecasting the number of new cases can be developed. In this paper, a long short-term memory (LSTM) based methodology is applied for such prediction. Here, experimental analysis is performed with the parameters, such as the number of layers and units of the network. The root mean squared error is calculated for data corresponding to the Republic of Serbia, as well as per different continents. The results show that LSTM model can be useful for further analysis and time series prediction.
There has been considerable effort in designing new video coding and compression standards. The AV1 is one of the most recent formats valuable for OTT video services and internet delivery. In this ...paper SVT-AV1 is analyzed according to standard statistical techniques. Moreover, it is compared to VP9 and HEVC video formats in the case of 4k video delivery. The comparison is made for three video sequences from PSNR and time coding standpoint. The results show advantages of SVT-AV1 format.
Nowadays advantages in face-based modification using DeepFake algorithms made it possible to replace a face of one person with a face of another person. Thus, it is possible to make not only ...copy-move modifications, but to implement artificial intelligence and deep learning for replacing face movements from one person to another. Still images can be converted into video sequences. Consequently, the contemporaries, historical figures or even animated characters can be lively presented. Deepfakes are becoming more and more successful and it is difficult to detect them in some cases. In this paper we explain the video sequences we produced (e.g. using X2Face method, and First Order Motion Model for Image Animation) and perform deepfake video analysis using SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) based approach. The experiments show the simplicity in video forgery production, as well as the possible role of SIFT keypoints detection in differentiation between the deeply forged and original video content.
In this paper special attention is given to domain selection and local and global signal examination which is important for signal processing, especially in cardiosignals where physiological ...information is a priority. In the case of phonocardiographic signals, spectral components are analyzed using joint time-frequency and multifractal representation, as well as directly in time domain using second generation wavelets and normalized averaged Shannon energy. This paper describes novel techniques for computer-based analysis of heart sounds without reference electrocardiograms. Experimental performance results of multiscale based model show excellent results in fundamental heart sound detection and abnormality indication via singularity reoccurrence detection with preserving relevant singularities.
