Alternative uses of tobacco have gained importance in recent times to sustain crop for non-conventional and economically viable application in food and industries. One of the alternative promising ...use of tobacco is seed oil having nutritive, pharmaceutical and industrial utility. Experiments were conducted to study the extent of oxidative alterations in tobacco seed oil subjected to ambient and sunlight storage, for a period of 90 days and compared with sunflower and groundnut oils. The magnitude of oxidative changes was monitored by periodical measurement of peroxide value (PV), free fatty acids (FFA), p-anisidine value (pAV), conjugated trienes (CT), conjugated dienes (CD) and iodine values (IV). Peroxide values significantly increased from 15 days of storage (1.13 meq kg^sup -1^) reaching maximum value (8.45 meq kg^sup -1^) at 90 days. Photo-oxidation (4.82 meq kg^sup -1^) was significantly higher than auto-oxidation (3.80 meq kg^sup -1^). The peroxides were significantly different among the three oils with the highest in tobacco seed oil (5.06 meq kg^sup -1^) followed by sunflower oil (4.29 meq kg^sup -1^) and groundnut oil (3.58 meq kg^sup -1^). The pAV increased significantly with increase in days of storage attaining maximum value of 13.84 at 90 days. pAV in tobacco seed oil (7.27) and sunflower oil (7.18) were at apar and were significantly higher than groundnut oil (5.36). Tobacco oil at 90 days of storage showed 2.9% and 7.19% higher content of CD over sunflower oil in photo and auto-oxidations respectively. FFA content in tobacco seed oil (0.153%) and sunflower oil (0.150%) were at a par and were significantly higher than groundnut oil. The oxidative changes in tobacco seed oil showed nearly similartrends with that of sunflower oil. The results showed that even though tobacco seed oil contains higher levels of unsaturated fatty acids, tobacco oil can be stored like any otheredible oils.

Press working is defined as a non -chip removal manufacturing process by which various components are made from sheet metal. There are various types of components are produced from sheet metal ...operation. The main aim of this project is to "Design and fabrication of drawing die used in the fly press”. The design aspects of drawing die is accomplished in CATIA v5 and ansys 15.0 software. As coming to the manufacturing of drawing die, drawing die are manufactured in hot-chamber process which has the capacity to cast high melting point materials. The press tool leads to different operations namely blanking, drawing, trimming, bending, lancing, perforating, curling and shaving operations. Generally, drawing operation is the process of producing cylindrical objects. There is a vast use of press tools in industries like defense, textile, automobile, aircraft and food processing. The press machine is of the hand-operated fly press.
There is a growing demand for provisioning of different levels of quality of service (QoS) on scalable Web servers to meet changing resource availability and satisfy different client requirements. ...The proportional differentiation model is getting momentum because of its fairness and differentiation predictability. It states that QoS of different traffic classes should be kept proportional to their pre-specified differentiation parameters, independent of the class loads. In this paper, we present a processing rate allocation scheme for providing proportional response time differentiation on Web servers. A challenging issue is how to achieve processing rates for different request classes in the implementation. We propose a process allocation strategy, which dynamically and adaptively changes the number of processes allocated for handling different request classes while ensuring the ratios of process allocation specified by the processing rate allocation scheme. We implement the process allocation strategy at application level on Apache Web servers. Experimental results show that the processing rate can be achieved by the adaptive process allocation strategy and the Web servers can provide predictable and controllable proportional response time differentiation.
The aim of the present work was to evaluate the anti-oxidant and anti-depressant potentials of the Ethanolic bark extract of Annona muricata. Ethanolic bark extracts of Annona muricata was subjected ...to preliminary and quantitative phytochemical screening. In vitro Anti-oxidant activity of Annona muricata was performed using phosphomolybdenum assay with Ascorbic acid as the standard. As the extract exhibited potent anti-oxidant activity, it was investigated further for its anti-depressant activity using Forced swim test(FST), Tail suspension test(TST), Digital photoactometer test (DPT) and Open field test(OFT). Imipramine & Fluoxetine 10mg/kg were used as reference drugs for the anti-depressant experiments. Ethanolic Bark extract of Annona muricata exhibited significant anti-oxidant activity with significant increase of absorbance in a concentration dependent manner while in anti-depressant activity there was considerable decrease in the immobility time . Altogether, these results suggest that the Ethanolic bark extract of Annona muricata could be used as a potential anti-oxidant and anti-depressant agent.

The present study was aimed at comparing the in vivo wound healing and in vitro antibacterial activity of Abutilon indicum roots. Wound healing is a complex phenomenon which consists of three stages ...inflammatory, proliferative, and remodelling. Traditionally, A. indicum is used for wound healing. There is no specific scientific data available for the wound healing activity of Abutilon indicum root. The present study was designed to investigate the same. The wound healing activity of ethanolic and ethyl acetate extracts of A. indicum was evaluated in incision and burn wound models. The parameters studied include tensile strength, epithelialisation period and rate of wound contraction. A. indicum also possesses antimicrobial activity. Ethyl acetate and ethanolic extract of A. indicum was tested against both Gram positive, Gram negative and fungal organisms using agar well diffusion method. From the results, it was concluded that ethyl acetate extract of A. indicum root had greater wound activity and antimicrobial activity than the ethanolic extract.

literature survey indicates that 2-substituted quinoxaline derivatives possess different pharmacological and biological activities, of which most potent activities are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, ...anti-inflammatory, and analgesic activity. In view of above literature, we planned to synthesize novel 2-Substituted quinoxaline derivatives. The final synthesised were characterized by physical (M.P, TLC) and spectral analysis (1HNMR, IR). The 2-substituted quinoxaline nucleus was constructed by condensation of o-phenylene diamine and diethy loxalate in equimolar quantities which upon heating yielded quinoxaline -2, 3-diol moiety. The quinoxaline -2,3-diol was treated with POCl3 to furnish 2,3-di chloro quinoxaline (2). Further the 2-chloro-3-hydrazinoquinoxaline (3) was synthesized by the reaction of 2,3- dichloroquinoxaline (2) and hydrazine hydrate in methanolic medium upon refluxing for 60 min. different Schiff’s bases of 2-chloro-3- hydrazine quinoxaline were obtained by refluxing the appropriate substituted benzaldehyde and 2-chloro-3-hydrazinoquinoxaline (3) in acetic medium for 3 h. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities by using cup plate method against Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus pumilus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans at 100, 50 μg/mL concentration using ciprofloxacin and clotrimazole as reference standard drugs respectively. Compounds 4e and 4f showed significant activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 4a and 4d showed significant activity against Bacillus subtilis, the compound 4c showed good activity against the organism Bacillus pumilus, whereas the compound 4a shown moderate antifungal activity against Candida albicans. The rest of the compounds showed weak activity when compared to the standard ciprofloxacin and clotrimazole.
