The characteristic time of disappearance of electric field in massive electrodynamics during the capture of electric charge by black holes is calculated. It is shown that this time does not depend ...upon the photon mass. The electric field at large distances disappears with the speed of light.
The paper gives current general data on the structure of amyloid fibril and the principles in the classification of amyloidosis, information on the clinical course of cardiac and renal involvements ...in systemic AL and AA amyloidosis, and that on diagnostic and prognostic criteria and the specific features of cardiorenal links. The authors draw the conclusion that the identification of acute and chronic cardiorenal links is of practical value for systemic amyloidosis. Cardiorenal and renocardiac syndromes are not always differentiated clearly in the systemacy of involvement.
Abstract We present a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa unitarity triangle angle ϕ 3 (also known as γ) using a model-independent Dalitz plot analysis of B + → D ( K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ h + h ...− )h +, where D is either a D 0 or D ¯ $$ \overline{D} $$ 0 meson and h is either a π or K. This is the first measurement that simultaneously uses Belle and Belle II data, combining samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of 711 fb −1 and 128 fb −1, respectively. All data were accumulated from energy-asymmetric e + e − collisions at a centre-of-mass energy corresponding to the mass of the Υ(4S) resonance. We measure ϕ 3 = (78.4 ± 11.4 ± 0.5 ± 1.0)°, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third is from the uncertainties on external measurements of the D-decay strong-phase parameters.
The impact of environmental management on water quality carried out in the Tobias Creek watershed area and that of geological processes occurring in the given geoecosystems have been studied. The ...survey based on a basin approach was performed at a watercourse located in a mountainous tourist area under recreational pressure, the latter has been significantly increasing recently due to increasing domestic tourism. The types of hazardous exogenous geological processes affecting the natural environment (including water sources) and economic activities have been identified: linear and planar erosion, landslides, creep, and mudflows. The “hotel complex” and “ski slopes combined with hiking tourist routes” had the greatest negative impact on the natural environment out of the eleven types of territorial environmental management identified by experts. The ecosystem components “flora” and “soil” were subject to the greatest anthropogenic impact. The environmental conditions deteriorated gradually from the creek source to its mouth as followed by bioindication and biotesting. A comparison of geological and anthropogenic factors and the processes occurring in the catchment area within the defined ecological zones allowed us to conclude that biological parameters reflecting processes in the aquatic ecosystems may be used as indicators of the state of the natural environment.
Cardiac amyloidosis is accumulation in the heart of a pathologic fibrillar protein amyloid. It represents a heterogeneous group of states from clinically insignificant amyloid accumulation in ...isolated atrial amyloidosis to severe involvement of the heart in primary amyloidosis when mean duration of life equals to 6 months. Insufficient awareness of physicians of this pathology leads to erroneous and belated diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis. This paper contains contemporary data of pathophysiology, clinical manifestation, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of various variants of cardiac amyloidosis.

We report a search for a heavy neutral lepton (HNL) that mixes predominantly with ν τ . The search utilizes data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e + e − collider. The ...data sample was collected at and just below the center-of-mass energies of the ϒ ( 4 S ) and ϒ ( 5 S ) resonances and has an integrated luminosity of 915 fb − 1 , corresponding to ( 836 ± 12 ) × 10 6 e + e − → τ + τ − events. We search for production of the HNL (denoted N ) in the decay τ − → π − N followed by its decay via N → μ + μ − ν τ . The search focuses on the parameter-space region in which the HNL is long-lived, so that the μ + μ − originate from a common vertex that is significantly displaced from the collision point of the KEKB beams. Consistent with the expected background yield, one event is observed in the data sample after application of all the event-selection criteria. We report limits on the mixing parameter of the HNL with the τ neutrino as a function of the HNL mass. Published by the American Physical Society 2024
