IIIOAc complex and ring-closing metathesis of homoallylic alcohol derived acrylate esters using Grubb’s catalyst.
To determine quantitative phytochemical, anticancer and antidiabetic effect of seven Indian tropical fruit residues.
In-vitro cytotoxic activity (IC50) was evaluated against cervical cancer cells ...(HeLa), breast cancer cells (MCF-7), hepatocellular carcinoma cells (HepG-2) and bone sarcoma cells (MG-63) and alpha amylase inhibition assay was used for antidiabetic activity.
Results of phytochemical analysis revealed that all residues contained remarkable amount of alkaloid, saponin, tannin and flavonoid. Notable cancer cell growth inhibition was observed for the extract from Carissa carandas pomace and Litchi sinensis seeds with IC50 values ranged from 56.72 to 89.24 μg/mL. Alpha amylase inhibition assay was measured at six different concentrations (5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200 mg/mL) by using different solvent extract. Results showed that Carissa carandas possessed best activity with IC50 value as 29.66 mg/mL followed by other residues in methanol extract.
Study suggests that these fruit residues demonstrate promising antidiabetic and anticancer activity that substantiated its ethno medicinal use and may provide new molecules for the treatment of these diseases.
Regenerative medicine and tissue engineering have emerged as a multidisciplinary promising field in the quest to address the limitations of traditional medical approaches. One of the key aspects of ...these fields is the development of such types of biomaterials that can mimic the extracellular matrix and provide a conducive environment for tissue regeneration. In this regard, chitosan has played a vital role which is a naturally derived linear bi-poly-aminosaccharide, and has gained significant attention due to its biocompatibility and unique properties. Chitosan possesses many unique physicochemical properties, making it a significant polysaccharide for different applications such as agriculture, nutraceutical, biomedical, food, nutraceutical, packaging, etc. as well as significant material for developing next-generation hydrogel and bio-scaffolds for regenerative medicinal applications. Moreover, chitosan can be easily modified to incorporate desirable properties, such as improved mechanical strength, enhanced biodegradability, and controlled release of bioactive molecules. Blending chitosan with other polymers or incorporating nanoparticles into its matrix further expands its potential in tissue engineering applications. This review summarizes the most recent studies of the last 10 years based on chitosan, blends, and nanocomposites and their application in bone tissue engineering, hard tissue engineering, dental implants, dental tissue engineering, dental fillers, and cartilage tissue engineering.

This paper presents new axiomatic definitions of entropy measure using concept of probability and distance for interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IvIFSs) by considering degree of hesitancy ...which is consistent with the definition of entropy given by De Luca and Termini. Thereafter, we propose some entropy measures and also derived relation between distance, entropy and similarity measures for IvIFSs. Further, we checked the performance of proposed entropy and similarity measures on the basis of intuition and compared with the existing entropy and similarity measures using numerical examples. Lastly, proposed similarity measures are used to solve problems in the field of pattern recognition and medical diagnoses.
We study gravitational waves from a hierarchical three-body system up to first-order post-Newtonian approximation. Under certain conditions, the existence of a nearby third body can cause periodic ...exchange between eccentricity of an inner binary and relative inclination, known as Kozai-Lidov oscillations. We analyze features of the waveform from the inner binary system undergoing such oscillations. We find that variation caused due to the tertiary companion can be observed in the gravitational waveforms and energy spectra, which should be compared with those from isolated binaries and coplanar three-body system. The detections from future space-based interferometers will make possible the investigation of gravitational wave spectrum in mHz range and may fetch signals by sources addressed.
Decision-making is a critical problem in various circumstances where some vagueness and ambiguity is found in information. To handle these types of problems, entropy is an important measure of ...information theory which is exploited to evaluate the uncertain degree of any data. There are two methodologies to determine the entropy, one is probabilistic in nature and other is non-probabilistic. It is shown that for every probabilistic measure there is a corresponding non-probabilistic measure. In this article, some logarithmic non-probabilistic entropy measures have been proposed for the fuzzy rough set corresponding to existing probabilistic entropy measures. The proposed measures are employed in a decision-making problem, which is related to the agriculture. Finally, these proposed measures are compared with the existing trigonometric entropy measures for fuzzy rough sets.
