The study of tourism carrying capacity in the municipalities of Tolmin, Kobarid and Komen has shown that the infrastructural and economic carrying capacity is the most problematic, as most indicator ...limits are already exceeded in the summer season. The most favourable is the spatial-ecological carrying capacity, where none of the studied indicator limits were exceeded. The results of the carrying capacity assessment for tourism in these municipalities should not be used as a tool to restrict tourism development, but rather as expert recommendations to promote more sustainable tourism development. Infrastructure identified as deficient cannot be improved immediately. Improvements require large financial investments that municipalities are not able to ensure quickly. We need a tourism development strategy that, in addition to all the necessary improvements, comprehensively addresses the problems that municipalities face from overtourism, especially during the high season.

We present e-Turist, an intelligent system that helps tourists plan a personalised itinerary to a tourist area, taking into account individual's preferences and limitations. After creating the route, ...e-Turist also offers real-time GPS guidance and audio description of points of interest visited. Here we focus on two main components, the recommender system and the route planning algorithm. We also present some use cases to highlight e-Turist functionalities in different configurations.
Protected nature reserves represent one of the measures to preserve natural environment. In Slovenia 12.57 % of the total area is environmentally protected. One of those areas is the Skocjanski zatok ...Nature Reserve in the immediate vicinity of Koper/Capodistria. It is the largest brackish wetland in Slovenia with a unique environment for thriving flora and fauna. The manager of the nature reserve, which is open to the public, is DOPPS - BirdLife Slovenia that manages the nature reserve and organises guided tours for visitors. The reserve is due to its location and a great variety of specific plant and animal species an ideal opportunity for a development of environmentally and ecologically oriented tourism activity. The environmental planning has to be therefore strictly in line with nature protection measures as only sustainable development of the nature reserve can enable its successful development in the sense of ecological tourism forms. With the help of the SWOT analysis this paper tries to establish the potentials of the development for ecological forms of tourism in the nature reserve, and attempts to give suggestions for some suitable forms of interpretation. It also states a critical reflection on the prospective reserve management and provides some suggestions on visiting issues and sustainable development of the area. PUBLICATION ABSTRACT
The focus of the analyses is on the determinants in the life-cycle of wine tourist product development and the growth of the wineries entrepreneurship in the Goriška Brda wine district situated on ...the Slovenian border with Italy. This is one of the fastest growing wine tourism districts in Slovenia. The analysis was based on the in-depth survey of 20 most active family wineries. Almost one-third of them started with wine production before 1991, around half of the wineries inherited the winery from the parents, often husband and wife are full-time self-employed in the winery, and they gain some support from other family members, and sometimes also from non-family members. The importance and growth of wine tourism is quantified by the number of wineries that are open for visits with guided tours and sale of wine in the winery, employment specialization into the wine tourism, specialized tourist products such as local traditional food and accommodation, the increasing importance of the marketing communication tools and promotion methods for visits of the winery, and the increasing revenues from the wine tourism. Relatively high wine prices provide survival opportunities also for smaller wineries, which have made several innovations by the shifts in the growing types of grapes from traditional towards grapes for high quality wine, and improvements in wine making, but the main innovations are in the wineries entrepreneurial efforts for wine sales in the winery and through activities that are related to the wine tourism.
Getting cargo into the particular port depends mainly on its modern port facilities. The quality of infrastructure in the region and Slovenia, the quantity of the appropriate areas for exstension of ...the port and the presence of different services in and beside the port are of very great importance. That is proved by our comparision of cargo in Port of Koper concerning the structure of goods of the states in gravitation hinterland between the years of 1983 and 1990.
