Resting state fMRI (rsfMRI) is frequently used to study brain function, including in clinical populations. Similarity of blood-oxygen-level-dependent (BOLD) fluctuations during rsfMRI between brain ...regions is thought to reflect intrinsic functional connectivity (FC), potentially due to history of coactivation. To quantify similarity, studies have almost exclusively relied on Pearson correlation, which assumes linearity and can therefore underestimate FC if the hemodynamic response function differs regionally or there is BOLD signal lag between timeseries. Here we show in three cohorts of children, adolescents and adults, with and without autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), that measuring the similarity of BOLD signal fluctuations using non-linear dynamic time warping (DTW) is more robust to global signal regression (GSR), has higher test-retest reliability and is more sensitive to task-related changes in FC. Additionally, when comparing FC between individuals with ASDs and typical controls, more group differences are detected using DTW. DTW estimates are also more related to ASD symptom severity and executive function, while Pearson correlation estimates of FC are more strongly associated with respiration during rsfMRI. Together these findings suggest that non-linear methods such as DTW improve estimation of resting state FC, particularly when studying clinical populations whose hemodynamics or neurovascular coupling may be altered compared to typical controls.
The purpose of this study was to compare ultrasound and CT in the diagnostic evaluation of right upper quadrant pain in adults in the emergency department.
A retrospective review was conducted of ...adult emergency department encounters for right upper quadrant pain over a 5-year period, excluding those for prior cholecystectomy, current pregnancy, and trauma. Imaging study reports were reviewed for gallbladder and nongallbladder explanations of right upper quadrant pain and were considered positive for cholecystitis when two or more supportive features were present. Encounter outcomes were evaluated on the basis of pathology data and clinical management.
Among the encounters, 2859 met the study inclusion criteria, and 18% met the study definition of cholecystitis by pathologic or clinical criteria. The following metrics showed no statistically significant difference between ultrasound and CT, respectively: sensitivity, 61% and 55%; specificity, 91% and 92%; positive predictive value, 63% and 63%; and negative predictive value, 91% and 90%. Both modalities were performed in 20% of encounters. In the subgroup analysis, ultrasound showed an acute nongallbladder abnormality that was missed at a preceding CT examination in only 1 of 238 cases (0.4%). CT showed an acute nongallbladder abnormality missed at a preceding ultrasound examination in 103 of 322 cases (32%).
CT is noninferior to ultrasound in both ruling in and ruling out the diagnosis of cholecystitis in adult patients undergoing emergency evaluation of right upper quadrant pain and offers the advantage of depicting acute nongallbladder abnormalities.
Whilst anyone can be scammed, individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) may have unique risk factors to cyberscams for which tailored interventions are required. To address this, a co-design ...approach was utilised to develop cybersafety resources with people with living experience of ABI and scams. This study aimed to evaluate the co-design experience to inform future utilisation of co-design methods.
Semi-structured qualitative interviews explored perceived benefits and challenges, level of support and the co-design process for people with ABI (n= 7) and an attendant care worker (ACW) (n= 1). Transcripts were analysed using a six-stage reflexive thematic analysis.
Five themes were identified: "An Intervention Addressing Shame"; "Feeling Validated and Valued"; "Experiencing a 'Profound Change Amongst a Group of Peers'"; 'Gaining Stronger Scam Awareness'; and 'Taking Ownership'. Adjustments to support communication, memory impairments and fatigue in the co-design process were recommended.
Participant reflections on the co-design process extended beyond resource design and highlighted therapeutic benefits of increased insight and emotional recovery from shame. Likely mechanisms underpinning these benefits were the peer group format and opportunities to make meaningful contributions. Despite identified challenges in facilitating co-design projects, the practical and emotional benefits reported by participants underscore the value of co-design with people with ABI.
Implications for rehabilitation
Individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) may be at increased risk of cyberscams due to cognitive impairments, for which tailored cyberscam interventions are required.
Using a co-design approach maximises the relevance of training resources for individuals with ABI.
Using a collaborative co-design approach to developing cybersafety training resources may facilitate scam awareness and peer support.
Support for communication, memory impairments and fatigue may be necessary in co-design efforts with people with ABI.
Individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) may be vulnerable to cyberscams due to their cognitive and psychosocial impairments. However, the lived experiences of cyberscam survivors with ABI and ...their close others is not understood, and no effective intervention has been identified. This qualitative study aimed to explore the perspectives of cyberscam survivors with ABI (n = 7) and their close others (n = 6). Semi-structured interviews explored the scam experience, impacts, vulnerabilities and interventions. Reflexive thematic analysis of interview transcripts identified seven themes: "who is at the helm?: vulnerabilities," "the lure: scammer tactics," "scammers aboard: scam experience," "the discovery," "sinking in: impacts," "responding to the mayday: responses from others," and "lifesavers: suggestions for intervention." The journey towards scam victimisation was complex, and complicated by the ABI. Cyberscams contributed to substantial financial disadvantage, loss of trust and shame. ABI related impairments and social isolation reportedly increased scam vulnerability and interfered with intervention attempts by family and professionals. Confusion, denial and disbelief created further barriers to discovery. The practical and emotional impacts on both cyberscam survivors with ABI and their family members, and a lack of effective intervention, highlight the need for increased education and awareness in order to improve online safety for those with ABI.

ABSTRACT The potentially hazardous asteroid (185851) 2000 DP107 was the first binary near-Earth asteroid to be imaged. Radar observations in 2000 provided images at 75 m resolution that revealed the ...shape, orbit, and spin-up formation mechanism of the binary. The asteroid made a more favorable flyby of the Earth in 2008, yielding images at 30 m resolution. We used these data to obtain shape models for the two components and to improve the estimates of the mutual orbit, component masses, and spin periods. The primary has a sidereal spin period of 2.7745 0.0007 hr and is roughly spheroidal with an equivalent diameter of 863 m . It has a mass of kg and a density of 1381 244 kg m−3. It exhibits an equatorial ridge similar to the (66391) 1999 KW4 primary; however, the equatorial ridge in this case is not as regular and has a ∼300 m diameter concavity on one side. The secondary has a sidereal spin period of 1.77 0.02 days commensurate with the orbital period. The secondary is slightly elongated and has overall dimensions of m (6% uncertainties). Its mass is kg and its density is 1047 230 kg m−3. The mutual orbit has a semimajor axis of 2.659 0.08 km, an eccentricity of 0.019 0.01, and a period of 1.7556 0.0015 days. The normalized total angular momentum of this system exceeds the amount required for the expected spin-up formation mechanism. An increase of angular momentum from non-gravitational forces after binary formation is a possible explanation. The two components have similar radar reflectivity, suggesting a similar composition consistent with formation by spin-up. The secondary appears to exhibit a larger circular polarization ratio than the primary, suggesting a rougher surface or subsurface at radar wavelength scales.
Background Although individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) may be vulnerable to cyberscams, the lack of existing measures documenting cybersafety behaviours in people with ABI limits our ...understanding of ABI-specific risk factors, the frequency of this problem, and the ability to evaluate evidence-based interventions. The CyberABIlity Scale was developed to assess vulnerability in people with ABI via self-rated statements and practical scam-identification tasks. This study aimed to develop and refine The CyberABIlity Scale through feedback from clinicians and people with ABI. Methods Scale feedback was collected via three rounds of clinician surveys (n = 14) using Delphi methods and two rounds of cognitive interviews with participants with ABI (n = 8). Following each round, feedback was quantitatively and qualitatively summarised, and revisions were made accordingly. Results Key revisions included removing 12 items deemed irrelevant. Instructions and rating scales were revised to improve clarity. Cognitive interviews identified 15 comprehension errors, with further revisions made to support response clarity for participants with ABI. Clinicians and participants with ABI endorsed the content and face validities of The CyberABIlity Scale . Conclusions Following further validation, The CyberABIlity Scale has the potential to be an effective screening measure for online vulnerability for people with ABI within clinical and research settings.

Purpose
The purposes of this study are (1) to utilize multivariable logistic regression in order to evaluate which image feature combination is most predictive in the diagnosis of cholecystitis for ...computed tomography (CT) and ultrasound (US) in adult ED patients and (2) to use these results to compare the accuracy of CT and US.
Methods
For RUQ pain patients undergoing US and CT at the same visit, multiple image features were evaluated independently by 2 radiologists blinded to additional data. Inter-reader variability was measured with the Kappa statistic. Sonographic Murphy’s sign (SMS) information was obtained from original reports. Multivariable logistic regression was utilized to develop optimal predictive models for each modality. For US, models with/without SMS were compared to establish its relative value.
Results
446 patients met inclusion criteria. For CT, the combination of cholelithiasis, short-axis gallbladder diameter > 3 cm, pericholecystic fluid or inflammation, and mural thickening > 3 mm provided the optimal model for both readers. For US, the optimal model included cholelithiasis, short-axis diameter > 3 cm, mural heterogeneity/striation, and sludge/debris for both readers. Kappa = 0.79–0.96 for included image features. For both readers, CT and US models had equivalent diagnostic performances; the SMS did not contribute significantly to US models.
Conclusion
For a diagnosis of cholecystitis in the ED, (1) the optimal image feature combination for CT is cholelithiasis, short-axis diameter > 3 cm, pericholecystic fluid or inflammation, mural thickening > 3 mm; and cholelithiasis, short-axis diameter > 3 cm, mural heterogeneity/striation, sludge/debris for US; (2) CT and US have equivalent diagnostic performance; (3) inter-reader reliability is substantial to excellent for utilized image features; (4) the SMS does not affect US model accuracy.

Abstract
Attention is given to the mapping of marine litter pathways due to their negative impact on the environment, society, and economy. Many models have been created to examine ocean dynamics and ...particle tracking systems. This study aims to contribute to these existing models by introducing a framework called “MATT’S PATROLL: MArine liTTer’S PATh, faRe, and tOLL.” This framework examines three pillars needed for the management of marine litter, the computational, socio-ecological, and economic arms. The Lagrangian particle tracking model is used to model the spatio-temporal behavior of litters on the surface of the ocean. The “faRe” component describes the direct and indirect effects of meso-particles on sea and land populations while they wait to accumulate on shorelines and other settlements. The “tOLL” component examines the long-term ecological and socio-economic costs on ecosystems in land and water, as well as the damage and loss in gross revenue from the marine sector when marine litters penetrate habitats and livelihoods. To illustrate the framework, artificially generated litter data around Visayas region is used to simulate path, fare, and toll calculations.
