For further implementation of physical research program at the KEDR detector and for accompanying equipment upgrade the new drift chamber is currently being developed. This main tracking and ...momentum-measuring system represents gas multilayer wire chamber operating in proportional mode. Design features and modifications versus existing chamber are described. Using prototype the spatial resolution in various gas mixtures is being studied. Preliminary results of spatial resolution measurements are presented.

collider. A specific feature of the ...experiment is the measurement of absolute beam energy using two methods: the resonant depolarization and the faster but less precise Compton backscattering of laser photons. This allowed a large series of measurements to be performed, in which the accuracy of determination of such fundamental parameters of particles as mass and total and leptonic widths was improved.

Abstract Using the 1.32 $$\hbox {pb}^{-1}$$ pb - 1 statistics collected at the $$J/\psi $$ J / ψ peak with the KEDR detector at the VEPP-4M $$e^{+}e^{-\, }$$ e + e - collider, we measured the ...branching fractions of $$J/\psi $$ J / ψ meson decays to the final states 2( $$\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-})\pi ^{0}$$ π + π - ) π 0 , $$K^{+}K^{-}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}\pi ^{0}$$ K + K - π + π - π 0 , 2( $$\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-})$$ π + π - ) and $$K^{+}K^{-}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ K + K - π + π - . The results obtained for the decays $$J/\psi \rightarrow $$ J / ψ → 2( $$\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-})\pi ^{0}$$ π + π - ) π 0 , $$J/\psi \rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}\pi ^{0}$$ J / ψ → K + K - π + π - π 0 contradict the measurements performed by other groups in the last century, but agree well with recent results of BABAR and BESIII collaborations.

The ratio of the electron and muon widths of the J/ psi J/ psi meson has been measured using direct J/ psi J/ psi decays in the KEDR experiment at the VEPP-4M electron-positron collider. The result ...Gamma e+e-(J/ psi )/ Gamma mu + mu -(J/ psi )=1.0022 plus or minus 0.0044 plus or minus 0.0048(0.65%) is in good agreement with the lepton universality. The experience collected during this analysis will be used for J/ psi J/ psi lepton width determination with up to 1% accuracy.
The process of elastic scattering of photons (light-by-light scattering)
attracts a lot of attention in the last years. It goes via the loop and all
charged particles contributes to its cross ...section. Theoretical prediction of
the cross section have existed for more than half a century, there are various
accelerators with real and virtual photons, but only recently this process was
discovered at the LHC in ion-ion collisions. Hopes for further study of this
process are associated with high-luminosity $e^+e^-$ colliders (SuperKEKb, FCC,
ILC, CLIC) and gamma-gamma colliders based on the Compton scattering of laser
photons on electrons. In this article, we show that there is very serious
background processes when the final pair of photons is created in the
annihilation of real and virtual $e^+$ and $e^-$, and the remaining products
fly away from the detector at small angles.

We report the final results of a study of the psi ( 3770 ) meson using a data sample collected with the KEDR detector at the VEPP-4M electron-positron collider. The data analysis takes into account ...interference between the resonant and nonresonant D D macr production, where the latter is related to the nonresonant part of the energy-dependent form factor F D . The vector dominance approach and several empirical parameterizations have been tried for the nonresonant F D N R ( s ) . Our results for the mass and total width of psi ( 3770 ) are M = 3779.2 - 1.7 + 1.8 - 0.7 + 0.5 - 0.3 + 0.3 MeV , Gamma = 24.9 - 4.0 + 4.6 - 0.6 + 0.5 - 0.9 + 0.2 MeV , where the first, second and third uncertainties are statistical, systematic and model, respectively. For the electron partial width two possible solutions have been found: ( 1 ) Gamma e e = 154 - 58 + 79 - 9 + 17 - 25 + 13 eV , ( 2 ) Gamma e e = 414 - 80 + 72 - 26 + 24 - 10 + 90 eV . Our statistics are insufficient to prefer one solution to another. The Solution (2) mitigates the problem of non- D D macr decays but is disfavored by potential models. It is shown that taking into account the resonance-continuum interference in the near-threshold region affects resonance parameters, thus the results presented cannot be directly compared with the corresponding PDG values obtained ignoring this effect.
