The ratio of the elastic e(+)p to e(-)p scattering cross sections has been measured precisely, allowing the determination of the two-photon exchange contribution to these processes. This neglected ...contribution is believed to be the cause of the discrepancy between the Rosenbluth and polarization transfer methods of measuring the proton electromagnetic form factors. The experiment was performed at the VEPP-3 storage ring at beam energies of 1.6 and 1.0 GeV and at lepton scattering angles between 15° and 105°. The data obtained show evidence of a significant two-photon exchange effect. The results are compared with several theoretical predictions.

Abstract
In this article a short overview of current micro-pattern gaseous detectors development and applications at Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics is presented. The triple-GEM detector for the ...Laser Polarimeter facility and the end-cap discs for the upgrade of the CMD-3 detector are considered in more details.
In this paper, we describe the project of a photon source with energies up to 2500 MeV at the SKIF synchrotron radiation facility (under construction in Novosibirsk). It is intended for experiments ...on photonuclear reactions, nonlinear QED, EM detector calibration and other applications. A polarized photon beam with a flux of 10

Hz (in full spectrum) is produced using Compton backscattering (or inverse scattering) of IR, visible, and UV laser radiation, as well as the UV band of its own synchrotron radiation, on the SKIF electron beam (15 kHz). Spectrum monochromatization with collimators or/and tagging system by recoil electrons is possible. The discrepancy between experimental and theoretical photofission cross sections of actinide nuclei in a photon energy range of hundreds of MeV has been known since the 1980s, so it is proposed to study these cross sections in the first series of experiments.
The present work continues a series of the KEDR measurements of the R value that started in 2010 at the VEPP-4M e+e− collider. By combining new data with our previous results in this energy range we ...measured the values of Ruds and R at nine center-of-mass energies between 3.08 and 3.72 GeV. The total accuracy is about or better than 2.6% at most of energy points with a systematic uncertainty of about 1.9%. Together with the previous precise R measurement at KEDR in the energy range 1.84–3.05 GeV, it constitutes the most detailed high-precision R measurement near the charmonium production threshold.
A tectonic scheme of the Amerasia Basin was created for the first time on a 1 : 2 500 000 scale on the basis of integrated analysis of geological and geophysical data. The structural framework of the ...scheme was developed according to the mapping of the basement surface using reflection seismic sections; the surface was detailed on the basis of potential fields. The results of three-dimensional gravity modeling according to calculation of the Moho depths and consolidated earth crust thickness were used as the basic indicators of the origin of the crust. Tectonic elements of different ranks and kinematics were identified on the seismic sections and traced according to the potential fields. The created scheme is the most detailed out of those published previously. It demonstrates the features of the tectonic structure of individual geostructures and their nature and allows us to draw conclusions about the evolution of the Amerasia Basin.

—The theoretical microscopic consideration of antisymmetric exchange in iron garnet crystals subjected to inhomogeneous deformation shows that the resulting inhomogeneous magnetoelectric effect ...causes electrically induced phenomena that are experimentally observed in domain walls of iron garnet films. In addition, the gradient of epitaxial strains is sufficient for development of chiral magnetic structures in these films.
FOXP1 is ubiquitously expressed in the human body and is implicated in both physiological and pathological processes including cancer. However, despite its importance the role of FOXP1 in T-cells has ...not been extensively studied. Although relatively few phenotypic and mechanistic details are available, FOXP1 role in T-cell quiescence and differentiation of CD4+ subsets has recently been established. FOXP1 prevents spontaneous T-cell activation, preserves memory potential, and regulates the development of follicular helper and regulatory T-cells. Moreover, there is growing evidence that FOXP1 also regulates T-cell exhaustion. Altogether this makes FOXP1 a crucial and highly undervalued regulator of T-cell homeostasis. In this review, we discuss the biology of FOXP1 with a focus on discoveries made in T-cells in recent years.
