The industry of ornamental fish has been developed for more than 50 years in Taiwan. In 1986, through the artificial cultivation of the blood parrot (Cichlasoma citrinellum × Cichlasoma synspilum), ...the industry of aquarium fish reached to the peak in Taiwan. After the African Cichlids was introduced from three major freshwater lakes in Africa, it caused a sensation on the market. Then fluorescent fish and crystal shrimps were introduced, so far showing vigorous development of the aquarium market in Taiwan. The results of the spatial analysis show the highest density of the aquarium in urban area. The cluster spatial pattern was identified by global autocorrelation analysis, including Average Nearest Neighbor and Global Moran's I. Besides, after the stock market crash in 1980, the aquarium industry experienced a serious setback, but it also indirectly led to the trend of industrial management transformation from traditional aquarium to pet shops combining two types of cats and dogs pet aquarium.
The thin film deposition property and the process difference during the wafer size migration from 12" (300 mm) to 18" (450 mm) in the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) equipment is improved and ...reduced, respectively, when the chamber hardware is designed with the help of 3D full chamber modeling and 3D experimental visual technique developed in this work. The accuracy of 3D chamber simulation model is demonstrated with the experimental visual technique measurement. With the CVD chamber hardware design of placing the inlet position and optimizing the distance between the susceptor edge and the reactor wall, the better thin film deposition property and the larger process compatibility during the wafer size migration from 12" (300 mm) to 18" (450 mm) for the industry cost reduction can be achieved. Non-dimensional Nusselt parameter is also found to be the effective indicator to monitor the thin film deposition property.
This study demonstrated a nonvolatile look-up table (nvLUT) that involves using resistive random access memory (ReRAM) cells with normally-off and instant-on functions for suppressing standby ...current. Compared with the conventional static random access memory (SRAM)-magnetoresistive random-access memory (MRAM)-hybrid LUTs the proposed ReRAM-based two-input nvLUT circuit decreases the number of transistors and the area of nvLUT by 79% and 90.4%, respectively. The areas of the two- and three-input ReRAM nvLUTs are 11.5% and 74.2% smaller than the other MRAM-based two-input and PCM-based three-input LUTs, respectively. Because of the low current switching and high R-ratio characteristics of ReRAM, the proposed ReRAM-based nvLUT achieves 24% less power consumption than that of SRAM-MRAM-hybrid LUTs. The functionality of the fabricated adder of the three-input ReRAM nvLUT was confirmed using an HfOx-based ReRAM and a 0.18-μm complementary metal-oxide semiconductor with a delay time of 900 ps.
Multichannel neural recording is one of the most important topics in the field of biomedical engineering. This is because there is a need to considerably reduce large amounts of data without ...degrading the data quality for easy transfer through wireless transmission. Video compression technology is of considerable importance in the field of signal processing. There are many similarities between multichannel neural signals and video signals. In this study, we propose a signal compression method that employs motion vectors (MVs) to reduce the redundancy between successive video frames and between successive channels. The method shows a signal-to-noise (error) ratio (SNR) of 25 db and data are compressed to 5% of their original size.
One of the most important problems in the field of biomedical engineering is how to record a multichannel neural signal. This problem arises because recording produces a large amount of data that ...must be reduced to transfer it through wireless transmission, and data reduction must be made without compromising data quality. Video compression technology is very important in the field of signal processing, and there are many similarities between multichannel neural signals and video signals. Therefore, we use motion vectors (MVs) to reduce the redundancy between successive video frames and successive channels. We also test what transform for neural signal compression is best. Our novel signal compression method gives a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 25 db and compresses data to 5% of the original signal.
