We calculate the transition radiation process ν→νγ at an interface of two media. The neutrinos are taken to be with only standard-model couplings. The medium fulfills the dual purpose of inducing an ...effective neutrino–photon vertex and of modifying the photon dispersion relation. The transition radiation occurs when at least one of those quantities have different values in different media. The neutrino mass is ignored due to its negligible contribution. We present a result for the probability of the transition radiation which is both accurate and analytic. For Eν=1 MeV neutrino crossing polyethylene-vacuum interface the transition radiation probability is about 10−39 and the energy intensity is about 10−34 eV. At the surface of the neutron stars the transition radiation probability may be ∼10−20. Our result is by the three orders of magnitude larger than those of previous calculations.
In this article the work of the Omsk State Medical Academy's department of general surgery is presented. The aim of study was to treat patients with purulent and necrotic wounds of soft tissue by ...using novel hydrodynamical drainaige. In this research 92 patients were taken part, who were inpatient treatment in the department of purulent surgery City Clinical Hospital No 1 named Kabanov A. N. 2010-2013 with purulent and necrotic wounds of soft tissue. Clinical, laboratory, cytological, bacteriological monitoring were conducted over the of wound process during the treatment. Assessment of the reliability of differences between the mean value of clinical indicators was with the calculation of the criterion t--Student, the method chi2 and Criterion Mann-Whitney U. The proposed method of treatment of purulent wound promotes fast the removal of necrotic tissue and pus in the first phase of the wound process that led to more rapid relief of symptoms of intoxication (fever, leukocytosis and common symptoms) at the patients of the basic group. Due to faster removal of necrotic tissue, reduction of common symptoms of intoxication at the patients of the basic group the transition from degenerative and inflammatory type of cystograms to regenerative occurred one or two days before than in the comparison group.

The exploration of the universe has recently entered a new era thanks to the multi-messenger paradigm, characterized by a continuous increase in the quantity and quality of experimental data that is ...obtained by the detection of the various cosmic messengers (photons, neutrinos, cosmic rays and gravitational waves) from numerous origins. They give us information about their sources in the universe and the properties of the intergalactic medium. Moreover, multi-messenger astronomy opens up the possibility to search for phenomenological signatures of quantum gravity. On the one hand, the most energetic events allow us to test our physical theories at energy regimes which are not directly accessible in accelerators; on the other hand, tiny effects in the propagation of very high energy particles could be amplified by cosmological distances. After decades of merely theoretical investigations, the possibility of obtaining phenomenological indications of Planck-scale effects is a revolutionary step in the quest for a quantum theory of gravity, but it requires cooperation between different communities of physicists (both theoretical and experimental). This review is aimed at promoting this cooperation by giving a state-of-the art account of the interdisciplinary expertise that is needed in the effective search of quantum gravity footprints in the production, propagation and detection of cosmic messengers.
To assess effect of trimetazidine on global and regional systolic and diastolic left ventricular function in patients with combined postinfarction ischemic syndrome.
Patients (n=32) with healed ...myocardial infarction and signs of global systolic (ejection fraction 38,5+/-2,7%) and diastolic (EIA=0,88+/-0,03) left ventricular dysfunction confirmed by Doppler echocardiography.
Regional systolic and diastolic function was assessed by dobutamine stress echocardiography with Doppler tissue imaging before and after 3 months during which the patients received 60 mg/day of trimetazidine.
The segments with hibernating myocardium were found in every patient. These segments along with segments with scars displayed greatest degree of local systolic and diastolic dysfunction and because of their prevalence made significant contribution to the setting of global diastolic dysfunction. Improvement of global diastolic function at rest after trimetazidine was associated with decrease of total number of ischemic segments (from 80 to 67%) especially of those with hibernation (from 61 to 46%).
The hibernating myocardium was most sensitive to metabolic intervention and its presence after myocardial infarction predicted improvement after drug treatment of not only systolic but also diastolic left ventricle dysfunction. Restoration of function of hibernating myocardium turned out to be possible not only after myocardial revascularization but also after medical therapy.
Vegetovascular disorders are obligatory and even leading clinical manifestations of chronic gastrointestinal diseases. Physiotherapy in combination with psychotherapy produce a normalizing effect on ...functional-morphological condition of the gastrointestinal organs, correct alterations in the neuropsychic sphere and autonomic nervous system.
