Using a data sample of 448.1×106ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the first observation of the electromagnetic Dalitz decay ψ(3686)→η′e+e−, with ...significances of 7.0σ and 6.3σ when reconstructing the η′ meson via its decay modes η′→γπ+π− and η′→π+π−η (η→γγ), respectively. The weighted average branching fraction is determined to be B(ψ(3686)→η′e+e−)=(1.90±0.25±0.11)×10−6, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.
During the 2016-17 and 2018-19 running periods, the BESIII experiment collected 7.5 fb(-1) of e(+)e(-) collision data at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.13 to 4.44 GeV. These data samples are ...primarily used for the study of excited charmonium and charmoniumlike states. By analyzing the di-muon process e(+)e(-) -> (gamma ISR/FSR)mu(+)mu(-), we measure the center-of-mass energies of the data samples with a precision of 0.6 MeV. Through a run-by-run study, we find that the center-of-mass energies were stable throughout most of the data-collection period.
Since people in industrialized countries spend most of their time indoors, the effects of indoor contaminants such as volatile organic compounds become more and more relevant. Benzene and toluene are ...among the most abundant compounds in the highly heterogeneous group of indoor volatile organic compounds. In order to understand their effects on lung epithelial cells (A549) representing lung's first line of defense, we chose a global proteome and a targeted metabolome approach in order to detect adverse outcome pathways caused by exposure to benzene and toluene. Using a DIGE approach, 93 of 469 detected protein spots were found to be differentially expressed after exposure to benzene, and 79 of these spots were identified by MS. Pathway analysis revealed an enrichment of proteins involved in Nrf2‐mediated and oxidative stress response glycolysis/gluconeogenesis. The occurrence of oxidative stress at nonacute toxic concentrations of benzene and toluene was confirmed by the upregulation of the stress related proteins NQO1 and SOD1. The changes in metabolism were validated by ion chromatography MS/MS analysis revealing significant changes of glucose‐6‐phosphate, fructose‐6‐phosphate, 3‐phosphoglycerate, and NADPH. The molecular alterations identified as a result of benzene and toluene exposure demonstrate the detrimental effect of nonacute toxic concentrations on lung epithelial cells. The data provided here will allow for a targeted validation in in vivo models.

Using a data sample of 1.31 × 109 J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a search for η' → γγη via J/ψ → γη' is performed for the first time. No significant η' signal is observed in the γγη ...invariant mass spectrum, and the branching fraction of η' → γγη is determined to be less than 1.33 ×10–4 at the 90% confidence level.
We report a study of the e+e−→D+D−π+π− process using e+e− collision data samples with an integrated luminosity of 2.5fb−1 at center-of-mass energies from 4.36 to 4.60GeV, collected with the BESIII ...detector at the BEPCII storage ring. The D1(2420)+ is observed in the D+π+π− mass spectrum. The mass and width of the D1(2420)+ are measured to be (2427.2±1.0stat.±1.2syst.)MeV/c2 and (23.2±2.3stat.±2.3syst.)MeV, respectively. In addition, the Born cross sections of the e+e−→D1(2420)+D−+c.c.→D+D−π+π− and e+e−→ψ(3770)π+π−→D+D−π+π− processes are measured as a function of the center-of-mass energy.
Utilizing the dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb-1 at s√=3.773 GeV collected by the BESIII detector, we report the first amplitude analysis and branching fraction ...measurement of the D0→K-π+π0π0 decay. We investigate the sub-structures and determine the relative fractions and the phases among the different intermediate processes. Our results are used to provide an accurate detection efficiency and allow measurement of B(D0→K-π+π0π0)=(8.86±0.13(stat)±0.19(syst))%.
Based on the data sample of 448.1 × 106 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, we present a study of the decays ψ(3686) → γχcJ → γp¯K*+ Λ + c.c. and ψ(3686) → p¯K*+Λ + c.c. The ...branching fractions of χcJ → p¯K*+Λ + c.c. (J = 0, 1, 2) are measured to be (4.8 ± 0.7 ± 0.5) × 10–4, (5.0 ± 0.5 ± 0.4) × 10–4, and (8.2 ± 0.9 ± 0.7) × 10–4, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The branching fraction of ψ(3686) → p¯K*+ Λ + c.c. is measured to be (6.3 ± 0.5 ± 0.5) × 10–5. All these decay modes are observed for the first time.
