The article defines the features of strategic management of competitiveness of life insurance companies (LICs). It is specified that the development of insurance and the need to protect people from ...the increasing impact of various risks associated with their livelihood, such as loss of income as a result of loss of human ability to work or the death of a family breadwinner, have led to the emergence of life insurance companies. It is noted that any decisions aimed at ensuring competitive advantages are risky, since they are based on the inability to accurately predict how the competitive environment will affect the company’s actions. The competitiveness management strategy of a LIC should take into account how likely its relationship with the competitive environment is, as this significantly increases the level of uncertainty in the management process and creates a risk that the company will lose in competition. A model of strategic management of the competitiveness of a LIC has been developed, which is closely related to the managerial qualities of its activities, that is, it provides for a certain complex that has: components of management, strategic goals, tactical tasks of management. An algorithm for assessing the level of management of the competitiveness of LICs has been proposed, which is based not only on the assessment of the competitive position through the efficiency of management, but also reflects the effectiveness of the insurance company’s activities in the formation of competitive advantages in the process of struggle for effective demand, taking into account the conditions of the insurance market and the needs of consumers. It is concluded that one of the important conditions for effective strategic management of competitiveness of life insurance companies is the study of the insurance market and determination of the competitive status of the company in it. Assessment of the level of competitiveness of a LIC is mandatory for all market participants who seek to maintain their place or increase their competitiveness. It is proved that managing the competitiveness of a life insurance company is a priority direction of the organization’s management, since it determines the company’s ability to exist in the market.
The article identifies problems and prospects of using modern technologies of communication management in higher education institutions of Ukraine. It is noted that the main manifestation of crisis ...phenomena in Ukrainian higher education has certain socioeconomic features associated with insufficient response to the influences of external environmental factors, lack of quality information, adoption of ineffective managerial decisions, and inconsistency of communication support of higher education institutions (HEIs) with world standards. It is noted that today information and communication technologies: cloud computing, automation and robotics, the Internet, artificial intelligence, data analytics, etc. have created new opportunities for higher education students, scientific and pedagogical workers and identified new tasks for HEIs in the field of educational management. Based on this, the technology of communication management in HEIs in general terms presents a set of techniques, means, tools, forms and methods of influencing the managed subsystem of their activities, with the aim of achieving the planned results of financial, economic, social, and professional development. This management technology is regulated by special regulatory and methodological documents, i. e.: norms, regulations, job descriptions, regulations, activity standards, document management systems. It is concluded that one of the important conditions for the formation of an effective communication management system in HEIs is the dissemination of modern digital learning technologies, improving the efficiency of educational management, acquiring digital literacy skills which today are priority conditions for success in the modern labor market. The proposed directions of using modern communication management technologies in HEIs provide for the complexity of solving problems at all levels of management, optimizing activities and creating comfortable learning conditions for higher education students in Ukraine.
The article considers specificity of determination of national threats as prerequisites for formation of an integrated system of economic security at the national level. It is noted that the ...integrated system of economic security is a complex structure that includes various components that cover the main spheres of functioning of the national economy. It is defined that the growing complexity of the global geopolitical and economic environment increases the need to create an effective system for managing the country’s economic security. It is noted that the main advantage of the integrated system of economic security of the State is the possibility of its full consideration of fluctuations of the global economic system through careful analysis and monitoring of economic tendencies, changes in world trade or financial markets, and other key global factors. This becomes of particular importance in the view of the State adapting in a timely manner to changes in the global economic environment while ensuring its economic stability and security. The role of determination of national threats in formation of an integrated system of economic security is analyzed. The key factors influencing the economic security of the country, such as geopolitical location, natural resources, technological development, demographic situation, level of corruption, etc., are examined. It is found that the determination of national threats allows to identify the potential risks and vulnerabilities of the national economy. The principles of formation of strategic approaches and policy of ensuring economic security at the national level have been proposed. The peculiarities of introduction of integrated systems of economic security on the basis of determination of national threats are considered. The importance of studying national threats for the formation of an effective system of economic security is proved. The application of the analysis of determination of national threats for the development of strategies for ensuring stability and development of the national economy has been proposed.
The article identifies problems and prospects of institutional provision for anti-crisis regulation of economic security of Ukraine. It is noted that the current level of economic security of ...Ukraine, complicated by the wartime, requires new approaches to institutional provision in terms of crisis management and regulation capable of solving the issue of reducing the level of corruption and shadowing the economy, which will significantly affect the implementation of our country’s intention to become a member of the European Union. It is noted that institutional provision for anti-crisis regulation of economic security of the country is considered as a complex and integrated system of socioeconomic development and provides for the implementation of appropriate measures (organizational, economic, technological, preventive, controlling, and protective), which are taken to neutralize the negative impact on the economic security of the State. It is determined that one of the main conditions for building an effective system of institutional provision for anti-crisis regulation of economic security of the country is the introduction of regular monitoring of the implementation of previously adopted decisions, formation of a dynamic information structure of institutional regulation of the national economy and elimination of existing administrative barriers and restrictions. It is concluded that one of the important conditions for the formation of an efficient system of institutional provision for anti-crisis regulation of economic security of Ukraine is the use of modern management technologies in combination with the development of the institutional environment, which covers a set of important institutions, formal and informal institutions and institutional changes aimed at improving the qualitative characteristics of formal and informal institutions that already exist in the field of anti-crisis regulation of economic security. A system of institutional provision for anti-crisis regulation of economic security of the country has been proposed, which provides for the complexity of solving problems at all levels of management, optimization of anti-crisis measures and equalization of conditions for economic management and human life, which, in turn, will allow solving the issue of creating conditions for development of both business and social sphere.
The article forms an integrated system of economic security at the national level. It is noted that new threats to Ukraine’s national security today are caused by hostilities on its own territory and ...certain problems in the country’s economy. In this regard, a sharp lag in technical-technological, organizational, managerial, marketing, and human resources potentials in almost all sectors of the national economy is observed, which significantly affects the level of economic security at the national level. It is specified that when forming an integrated system of economic security at the national level, it is necessary to take into account certain objective circumstances, neglect of which may lead to a loss of control over national interests. It is defined that in today’s conditions, the economic security of a country is the foundation for the functioning of all elements related to this system: political, social, military, environmental, technological, information security, etc. Thus, it can be confidently stated that it occupies a central place in the national security system, since its provision guarantees the vital activity of virtually all spheres of society and contributes to the socioeconomic development of the State. A structure of the economic security of the State is proposed. After analyzing the proposed integrated system of economic security at the national level, the authors note the close interrelation of all types of threats and their impact on the realization of the national interests of the State. It is concluded that the formation of an integrated system of economic security at the national level, which combines the identification of threats to national security and the level of economic security of the country, can ensure the sustainability of all sectors of the economy, long-term economic growth and high quality of life of the country’s population. When building an integrated system of economic security at the national level, the authors identify the main types of threats: of national level, internal economic relations, of territorial level, and threats to public relations, the presence and relevance of which prove the need for an integrated approach to solving the problems of economic security.
The article defines the socio-ecological aspects of innovation management in the sphere of subsoil use. It is noted that innovative management in the field of subsoil use is a separate branch of ...management and relevant activity, which arose and developed as a result of contradictory trends in the growth of subsoil use and limited opportunities for their effective involvement in economic processes. It is noted that the social aspects of innovative management in the sphere of subsoil use require an appropriate assessment to obtain an adequate answer to the question of the effectiveness of this type of management. It is determined that the ecological aspects of innovation management in the field of subsoil use are considered very important, since the modern competitive environment requires that ecological responsibility becomes the life philosophy of an economic entity and be the basis for building relationships with suppliers and consumers, as well as local communities. The principles and directions of improvement of innovation management on ecological issues in the field of subsoil use in Ukraine are determined. Attention was focused on ecological audit, which is a tool for determining how production activities meet national and international standards of sustainable development. It is noted that due to the full-scale war in Ukraine, the responsibility of each business entity for the preservation and restoration of the environment is growing. It is concluded that the socio-ecological aspects of innovative management in the sphere of subsoil use form the basis for the interest and combination of interests of the State, business and society to achieve a certain balance in matters of national security, meeting the needs of the population in public goods and ecological development on the basis of innovativeness, which in the future will create conditions for the formation and implementation of appropriate ecological strategies that will contribute to the development of education and science, social protection of the population, reducing the outflow of highly qualified workers, increasing innovative activity in the country’s economy, etc.
The article defines modern technologies for managing the innovative potential of industrial enterprises and the conditions for their use. It is noted that the current state of innovation activity in ...Ukraine is unsatisfactory. It is characterized by a small proportion of innovative products in the total volume of the product output by domestic manufacturers; inability of enterprise management to adapt to the volatile external environment and the consequences of the global financial crisis. For Ukraine, the main problem in the innovation sphere is the rejection by many industrial enterprises of changes and «rules of the game» in the modern business environment. It is found out that in order to solve the issues of improving the efficiency of management of the innovative potential of industrial enterprises of Ukraine, it is necessary to use a complex of progressive technologies of general management, which will positively affect the innovative sphere of activity of any economic entity. It is noted that the tasks that are solved by modern technologies for managing the innovative potential of industrial enterprises should take into account: availability, quantity and quality of resources; market condition; competitive environment; technological level of the enterprise. In particular, the tasks are determined for the long and short term, where the criteria and parameters for managing innovative processes at an industrial enterprise are established. It is concluded that one of the important conditions for the effective management of the innovative potential of industrial enterprises in Ukraine is the use of modern management technologies, which are based on five approaches: target, process, functional, resource, and competitive. The proposed methodological approach to determining the reserves for improving the efficiency of innovation activities of an industrial enterprise makes it possible to assert that the calculation of efficiency indicators of innovation activity should be carried out on the basis of the actual results of the enterprise’s activities at regular time intervals.
The article is aimed at identifying and substantiating the priority of goals and directions of strategic development of the tourism competitiveness of region. The article proves that the development ...of tourism at the regional level is complex and multidimensional in nature, therefore, the management of tourism activities in the region should be carried out according to a number of different directions. This, in turn, necessitates the formation of a program for long-term development of tourism in the region, i. e., the conception of a tourism development strategy in order to take into account the influence of internal and external factors to the maximum, analyze the existing situation and develop a sequence of actions and measures to support and manage regional tourism, as well as to guarantee the necessary level of competitiveness of the region. Priority types of tourism for the region are allocated, which are the most attractive, possible for the development and obtaining an effect (economic, social or ecological), in accordance with the extant recreational and tourist potential of the region. When developing a strategy for the development of tourism in the region, it is necessary to take into account the priority of goals, as this will allow to improve the existing unsatisfactory state of the tourism industry in the region as best and as fast as possible. That is why the article proposes to substantiate the directions of strategic development and achieve competitive advantages in the tourism industry of the region by modeling the priority of development goals (on the example of the tourist competitiveness of the Kharkiv region). This can be achieved using the technology of the method of analyzing hierarchies, which belongs to the procedures of hierarchical presentation of elements, allowing to determine the essence and substantiate the tasks of making managerial decisions.
The article generalizes the theoretical and methodological aspects of managing the strategic development of industrial enterprises in Ukraine. It is specified that the industry of Ukraine has always ...been and remains a driver of the national economy, both economically and socially. In this regard, today the issues of the need to form modern development strategies that can provide domestic enterprises with an appropriate level of competitiveness and image acquisition in the world market appear to be very acute. From this point of view, the generalization of theoretical aspects of managing the strategic development of industrial enterprises in Ukraine is relevant and appropriate, given the difficult macroeconomic conditions and the need to adapt economic entities to martial law. The characterization of basic strategies is generalized. The constituents of the strategy for managing the development of an industrial enterprise are defined. It is noted that the management of strategic development of industrial enterprises is a complex process that requires a sufficiently high level of management and the ability to make effective managerial decisions. It is found that it is impossible to imagine the process of managing the strategic development of an industrial enterprise without the presence of strategic potential, which provides the most effective ways to use resources, economic reserves and capabilities of an economic entity in order to maximize the effective implementation of its strategy. A number of indicators of local potentials of an industrial enterprise is presented. It is noted that an effective strategy for the development of an industrial enterprise lays down the prospects for economic growth and determines its positioning in the market. It is concluded that one of the important conditions for efficient management of strategic development of industrial enterprises in Ukraine today is the use of scientifically based approaches to strategic management along with practical experience in conducting business. The presence and development of the strategic potential of industrial enterprises will allow in the future to use the most effective ways and methods of using all available resources in order to make a profit and achieve strategic goals.
The article identifies the problems and prospects for improving the management of the development of insurance companies in Ukraine. The need to make strategically effective decisions that maximize ...the adaptation of insurance companies to the external environment, the formation of tactical tasks on their basis, is detected. It is noted that, like any economic activity, insurance requires the introduction of a quality management system. Hence, the overall efficiency of insurance company management consists of the levels of efficiency of managing individual subsystems: financial resources, marketing, sales, etc. In the existing structural and process model of an insurance company, the boundaries between structural levels are not clearly defined. Some elements of structures equally belong to different structural groups, in which case often one structure overlaps or intersects with another. It is found that government regulation of insurance companies should be based on principles that will ensure its efficiency, adequacy and transparency, promote the development and profitability of insurance providers and protect consumers of insurance services. It is concluded that one of the important conditions for effective management of the development of insurance companies in Ukraine is the use of modern management technologies and government support in the form of regulation of their activities, based on certain principles that ensure its efficiency, adequacy and transparency, will contribute to the development and profitability of insurance workers and protect consumers of insurance services. A methodical approach to determining the efficiency of managing the development of insurance companies is proposed, which is based on the use of the following coefficients: uncertainty of management activities; concentration of functions; accumulation of dysfunctions by the organizational structure; rationalization of the use of elements; concentration of elements; complexity of the organizational structure of management, which allows to establish the differences between the existing and the desired state of the basic indicators of the efficiency of the development management system of an economic entity.
