—A new approach to solving the problems reconstructing images distorted by defocusing and blurring is proposed. It is shown that for an alternating amplitude spectrum of the hardware function (HF), ...the renormalization method with constraint (RMC) with the classical universal reference spectrum (URS) does not lead to successful reconstruction. An algorithm is presented that automatically takes into account the sign of the HF spectrum due to the change in shape of the URS. This algorithm for the reconstruction of a distorted image yields results that weakly depend on the type and parameters of the HF.
This paper discusses the use of the interpolation method for the sequential calculation of the Fourier spectrum (IMSCS) for retouching and restoration of missing (shaded) image fragments. The ...proposed approach can be used with any form of a missing image fragment. Such image processing can give good results even at a significantly high percentage of missing image fragments. The method of digital virtual image reconstruction proposed here is strictly based on a scientific approach; as the source data, it uses all the data available (the image itself is the object to be recovered). Therefore, it is free from the human factor, because of which subjective changes can be introduced in the image under processing. The results presented indicate a significant increase in the quality of digital images (increasing the information content), which can offer helpful auxiliary tools for professionals using these images for their practical purposes.
The surfacing of wheels and rollers with a nonuniform cross section leads to surface heating. Subsequent surface cooling produces stress and potentially disintegration of the component. To prevent ...such problems, heating of the disk and rim during surfacing is proposed, so that the temperature difference over the component is no more than 100°C.
The tendency of economically alloyed and high-chromium steel coatings to crack is compared, along with their wear resistance in various conditions. To slow the wear of the working surfaces, the ...selection of the hard coating employed in surfacing should take account of the expected operating conditions.
A method for compensating the influence of unknown side lobes of a distorting instrument function on the quality of image recovery is proposed. A processing algorithm, based on the knowledge of the ...main lobe of the instrument function and its spectrum together with a universal reference spectrum, is used to compensate the contribution of the unknown side lobes to the spectrum of the distorted image. The stability of the method to the noise inherent in the improved images and various forms of distorting instrument functions is analyzed. High efficiency of the method of compensation is demonstrated in the cases in which the total contribution from the unknown side lobes to the resulting brightness of the distorted image significantly (four-fold) exceeds the contribution from the main lobe.
Reconstruction of measured holograms is performed by the backward propagation method and by means of a preliminary measured instrument function (IF). It is shown that the results of the ...reconstruction can be improved by reducing the IF measuring error, e.g., by averaging over a ring. It is established that images of a part of subsurface radio holograms can be obtained not only if the known part of a hologram is an entire fragment but also if the measured points of the hologram are not nearest neighbors of each other.
A method of one-dimensional radio holograms aimed at increase of the efficiency of obtaining object images is proposed. A feature of this method is oblique sensing of the object plane. The method ...capabilities are studied by means of computer simulation. It is shown that, in the case of sensing of point and flat objects at ten frequencies in a range of 29.5–30.5 GHz, the satisfactory quality of the reconstructed images is achieved by recording two orthogonal one-dimensional holograms.

N
-like current–voltage characteristic) ...and promising frequency-multiplier diodes (varactors) (parabolic capacitance–voltage characteristic) are presented.
The goal of the research is to attract attention to the problem of upbringing and to the necessity of improving theoretical and methodological support of the process of social upbringing of students ...in higher school oriented to shaping social behavior of students directly in the education institution that corresponds to the cultural level, standards and rules of this education institution. Legislative acts and academic publications concerning learners’ upbringing were used as sources of information. Certain categories and notions used in researching social upbringing and behavior have not been completely shaped, thus the present investigation was based on scientific methodology, which includes as one of its sections improvement and concretization of conceptual and categorical apparatus in this field of science. During the research in order to describe the process of shaping social behavior in higher school the authors used systematic, cybernetic approach implying modeling of the upbringing process in the form of model of managing the process of learner’s socialization assuming demand setting, monitoring results and correction of management by feedback. The research used elements of planning with development of the list of tasks and events aimed at managing the process of social behavior of student. As a result the conceptual and categorical apparatus was specified and formulated, which is necessary to describe the process of student’s socialization in education institutions, including such notions as social upbringing, socialization, social behavior, organizational behavior, behavior discipline, behavior code, behavior culture, organizational discipline; the model of managing the process of shaping social behavior of student was worked out in the form of the system with feedback; the list of tasks and events was developed to support the process of managing social behavior with assessment of their applicability in current situation. The obtained results can form the foundation for developing the mechanism of managing social behavior in university and can be used not only in higher school but also in other education institutions.
