The shorter process time is always better for turnaround time (TAT) and cost reduction in semiconductor manufacturing. In this paper, two machine learning (ML) models, e.g., Neural Network (NN) and ...Support Vector Regression (SVR), are adopted for the enhancement of ash rate in a plasma ash process. By the use of ash rate data recorded from design of experiments (DoE), the model of NN and SVR affords the fitting with R 2 value of 0.999 and 0.782, respectively, after training and >97% accuracy from the test validations. Two new ash recipes predicted by NN and SVR models are proved to show 5.4% and 4.2% faster ash rate than the data of Process of Record (POR). Moreover, they give 1.0% and 3.6% error between the actual and predicted ash rates. As a result, the NN-based ash recipe became the new POR in terms of faster TAT.
An environmentally benign antisolvent method has been developed to prepare Cu super(2+)-doped ZnO nanocrystals with controllable dopant concentrations. A room temperature ionic liquid, known as a ...deep eutectic solvent (DES), was used as the solvent to dissolve ZnO powders. Upon the introduction of the ZnO-containing DES into a bad solvent which shows no solvation to ZnO, ZnO was precipitated and grown due to the dramatic decrease of solubility. By adding Cu super(2+) ions to the bad solvent, the growth of ZnO from the antisolvent process was accompanied by Cu super(2+) introduction, resulting in the formation of Cu super(2+)-doped ZnO nanocrystals. The as-prepared Cu super(2+)-doped ZnO showed an additional absorption band in the visible range (400-800 nm), which conduced to an improvement in the overall photon harvesting efficiency. Time-resolved photoluminescence spectra, together with the photovoltage information, suggested that the doped Cu super(2+) may otherwise trap photoexcited electrons during the charge transfer process, inevitably depressing the photoconversion efficiency. The photoactivity of Cu super(2+)-doped ZnO nanocrystals for photoelectrochemical water oxidation was effectively enhanced in the visible region, which achieved the highest at 2.0 at% of Cu super(2+). A further increase in the Cu super(2+) concentration however led to a decrease in the photocatalytic performance, which was ascribed to the significant carrier trapping caused by the increased states given by excessive Cu super(2+). The photocurrent action spectra illustrated that the enhanced photoactivity of the Cu super(2+)-doped ZnO nanocrystals was mainly due to the improved visible photon harvesting achieved by Cu super(2+) doping. These results may facilitate the use of transition metal ion-doped ZnO in other photoconversion applications, such as ZnO based dye-sensitized solar cells and magnetism-assisted photocatalytic systems.

AIM: Prior Helicobacterpylori (Hpylori infection has often been underestimated. These underestimations have misled physicians attempting to determine the significance between Hpyloriand certain ...gastrointestinal lesions such as intestinal metaplasia, atrophic gastritis, and gastric cancer. Our study endeavored to debit past Hppylorinfections accurately, easily, and rapidly with the newly developed irnmunoblot kit, Helico Blot 2.1. METHODS: Thirty-three patients, including 25 H pylori infected and 8 uninfected cases, were enrolled in our study. All patients received consecutive gastroendoscopic examinations and ^3C-urea breath test (UBT) tests at 6- or 12-mo intervals for up to 4 years. Serum samples were obtained from each patient at the same time. Intragastric H pylori infection was confirmed in accordance with the gold standard. Twenty-five H pylori-infected patients received triple therapies after initial bacterial confirmation, and were successful in eradicating their infections. Serially obtained sera were tested by means of Helico Blot 2.1. RESULTS: Current infection marker detected by Helico Blot 2.1 was unreliable for representing ongoing Hpylori infection. Only 35 and 37 ku antibodies of H pylorihad significant seroconversion rates 1 year after having been cured. The seroposiUve rates of 116 ku (cytotoxin-associated antigen CagA) and Helico Blot 2.1 were nearly 100% during 4-year follow-up period. Both CagA antigen and Helico blot 2.1 could serve as indicators of long-term H pylori infection. CONCLUSION: Helico Blot 2.1 can detect past H pylori infections for up to 4 years, and is the best method to date for detecting previous long-term H pylori infection. 2005 The WJG Press and Elsevier Inc. The synchronized measurement is important to the applications in power system. With the obtained power information, the conditions of power system can be easily realized, such as power quality, ...transient stability, and efficiency of energy usage, etc. In this paper, the design of phasor measurement unit for power system monitoring based on neural network is proposed. Through the experiment, the performance of proposed phasor measurement can be verified according to IEEE Std. C37.118-2005.
Gender differences in terms of mortality among many solid organ malignancies have been proved by epidemiological data. Estrogen has been suspected to cast a protective effect against cancer because ...of the lower mortality of gastric cancer in females and the benefits of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in gastric cancer. Hence, it suggests that 17β-estradiol (E2) may affect the behavior of cancer cells. One of the key features of cancer-related mortality is metastasis. Accumulating evidences suggest that human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (HBMMSCs) and its secreted CCL-5 have a role in enhancing the metastatic potential of breast cancer cells. However, it is not clear whether E2 would affect HBMMSCs-induced mobility in gastric cancer cells. In this report, we show that CCL-5 secreted by HBMMSCs enhanced mobility in human AGS gastric cancer cells via activation of Src/Cas/Paxillin signaling pathway. Treatment with specific neutralizing antibody of CCL-5 significantly inhibited HBMMSCs-enhanced mobility in human AGS gastric cancer cells. We further observe that 17β-estradiol suppressed HBMMSCs-enhanced mobility by down-regulating CCL5-Src/Cas/paxillin signaling pathway in AGS cells. Collectively, these results suggest that 17β-estradiol treatment significantly inhibits HBMMSCS-induced mobility in human AGS gastric cancer cells.
Abstract Sweet's Syndrome (SS), or acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, is a rare skin disorder characterized by painful cutaneous nodules and neutrophilic infiltrate in the dermis, which is ...usually accompanied by fever and other inflammatory reactions. SS may be idiopathic, malignancy-associated, or drug-induced. We present the case of a 15-year-old girl with acute myeloid leukemia, whose initial presentation was SS. After only partial response to antibiotics and an antihistamine, a skin biopsy had led to the diagnosis of SS and the patient had later developed AML. After induction chemotherapy with idarubicin and arabinoside, the patient had successfully achieved remission of the AML as well as the SS. In children, SS is very rare and mimics skin and soft tissue infections. However, SS can also be an early sign of childhood cancer, especially hematologic malignancies. Physicians should be aware of SS when the patient has typical skin lesions and keep a high index of suspicion to search for underlying malignancies.

The most popular epitaxial technique of creating quantum-dot heterostructure nowadays is utilizing the strain stored in the interface of two lattice-mismatched materials to form ...self-assembled quantum dots. Thus it is thought that the strain will be an important issue in the electronic and physical characteristics of quantum dot heterostructure.
In this article, five multi-layer quantum dot samples grown on substrates with different vicinal angle were chosen to investigate their strain properties.
To examine the strain property of these samples, two kinds of experiment techniques, temperature- and polarization-dependent photoluminescence, were performed. And the results will be discussed here to deduce geometric and strain properties of these samples.
For the development of smart grid, the effective detection of power quality events is a very important task for the power system monitoring. Voltage sags, interruptions, and voltage swells which ...usually produce large losses in commercial and industrial consumers are the main events in power systems due to the sensitivity of equipments to these voltage variations. In this paper, a simple rule-based detection method for voltage events by applying the filter bank and adaptive filter is presented. The usefulness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by a simple laboratory setup with LabVIEW program and actual recorded waveforms. With the help of accurate detection time of the filter bank and correct event classification of adaptive filter, power system monitoring could provide accurate and useful information to power grids via the developing advanced metering infrastructure.
Silicon doping in a barrier layer has been demonstrated to improve crystal quality and the interfacial quality of InGaN/GaN quantum wells. Furthermore, it also reduces piezoelectric field with heavy ...silicon doping. In this work, the characteristics of 30-pair In x Ga 1-x N/GaN quantum well solar cells with undoped wells/undoped barriers (UWUB), Si-doped wells/Si-doped barriers (DWDB), and undoped wells/Si-doped barriers (UWDB) are compared and investigated. The short circuit currents ($J_{\text{sc}}$) of the solar cells with UWUB, DWDB, and UWDB are 0.54, 0.16, and 0.23 mA/cm 2 , respectively. This indicates that the electric field in quantum wells dominates the collected current capability. The open circuit voltages ($V_{\text{oc}}$) of the solar cells with UWUB, DWDB, and UWDB are 2.18, 1.38, and 1.91 V, respectively. Recombination rate determines $V_{\text{oc}}$. The solar cell with UWUB exhibits the highest efficiency among the three solar cells. The temperature dependences of solar efficiency differ in three cases. As temperature increases, solar efficiency decreases in the UWUB sample, and increases in the DWDB and UWDB samples owing to the competition between the increasing $J_{\text{sc}}$ and the decreasing $V_{\text{oc}}$.
