The process of neurosurgery is delicate and time consuming, often resulting in lower patient outcomes and survival rates. Therefore, we are implementing computer algorithms for the classification and ...segmentation of brain tumors. This aims to improve the accuracy of identifying tumor and segmentation of the brain. The automatic segmentation of the brain is based on CT (Computed tomography) data using the Desktop Image Processing System (DISOS). The DISOS system integrates modules such as preoperative planning and user guidance. Automated segmentation algorithms, including fuzzy c means clustering method, intensity thresholding, region growing, level set methods, and machine learning approaches, are employed to segment the brain structures. This system demonstrates improved accuracy, robustness, and efficiency, although a final check by a medical expert is still necessary. Additionally, our paper highlights the use of advanced algorithms and machine learning techniques to differentiate between cancerous and non-cancerous tumors using various medical imaging data. The incorporation of genetic, molecular, and clinical data further enhances the accuracy of tumor classification models. Challenges in real time robot path planning and navigation for neurosurgery are addressed, including the use of A-mode ultrasound and augmented reality systems to provide enhanced guidance during procedures. This study concludes by emphasizing the collaboration between medical professionals and computer scientists in advancing the field of computer-assisted brain tumor diagnosis and robot-assisted surgery. Our goal is not to replace humans with robots, but the collaboration between them for incredible outcomes.

ABSTRACT Spontaneous regression of testicular tumors known as burnt-out tumor of testis is a rare entity and is seen in about 5% of testicular germ cell tumors. It is described as a spontaneously, ...completely, or partially regressed testicular tumor with or without metastasis in the absence of any treatment. This entity is now included in the 2016 classification of testicular tumors. This is probably only the second case presented in India. High degree of awareness of this entity by the pathologist, clinician, and radiologist is necessary for proper management and survival of the patient.

Introduction: The ovaries are bilateral organs on either side of the uterus. Non neoplastic and neoplastic lesions occur in all age groups and can present with similar clinical and radiological ...features. Histopathology remains the gold standard for diagnosing and categorising these lesions. Aim: To study the prevalence of ovarian lesions in relation to age and clinical findings. Neoplastic lesions will be histologically classified as per World Health Organisation guidelines. Findings in this study will be compared with that in other studies. Materials and Methods: This is an observational study of all ovarian lesions undertaken in the Department of pathology in NRI Institute of Medical Sciences, Sangivalasa, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, from June 2018 to November 2021. Specimens were received as ovarian masses alone, or in combination with hysterectomy with either unilateral or bilateral salpingo- oophorectomy. Relevant clinical information was obtained from the records. The tissues were processed by using an automatic tissue processor, paraffin blocks were made and sections cut were stained with Haematoxylin and Eosin(H&E) and examined under the microscope. The lesions were categorised as non neoplastic and neoplastic. The neoplastic lesions were classified according to the latest 2020 World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines. Incidence of various lesions was expressed in percentage. Results: A total of 119 specimens were studied. Some of the specimens had bilateral ovaries and the second ovary had a different nonneoplastic lesion in 18 cases. 80 (60.60%) were nonneoplastic lesions and 52 (39.39%) were neoplastic lesions. 5 cases of torsion could not be classified into neoplastic or non-neoplastic due to lack of viable histological features. Non neoplastic lesions were more common in the 31-50 years age group. Benign neoplasms were common in 41-50 years age group. Malignant tumours were more common in the perimenopausal and postmenopausal age group. The most common non neoplastic lesion were 39 cases (48.75%) of follicular cyst followed by 26 cases (32.5%) of corpus luteal cyst, 13 cases (16.25%) of cystic follicles and 2 cases (2.5%) of endometriotic lesions. Of the neoplastic lesions, 47 cases (90.38%) were benign, 2 cases (3.84%) were borderline and 3 cases (5.76%) were malignant tumours. Surface epithelial tumours were 42 cases (80.76%), followed by 6 cases (11.53%) of germ cell tumours and 4 cases (7.69%) of sex cord stromal tumours. Conclusion: Non neoplastic lesions and neoplastic lesions present with similar clinical and radiologic picture and must be differentiated histopathologically. Non neoplastic lesions were more common in the present study. Among the neoplasms, benign tumours were more common and surface epithelial tumours were more common than any other category. Torsion ovary, Seromucinous cystadenoma, atypical endometrioid tumor and granulosa cell tumor were some rare entities that were encountered in the study. Classifying tumours helps in better patient management.

Gout is an inflammatory arthritis associated with functional impairment and impact on quality of life. It arises when the tissues are supersaturated with urate leading to the formation of mono sodium ...urate crystals in and around the joints. This causes an inflammatory cascade resulting in secretion of several proinflammatory cytokines and neutrophil recruitment into the joint.
A 60 years old male patient presented with complaints of swelling in the posterior aspect of left elbow since 2 years and pain since 15 days. Examination revealed soft tissue swellings in multiple joints including metatarsophalangeal joint. Renal function tests show increased Uric acid (8.6mg/dl). On Gross examination, we received fibrofatty mass measuring 3.5x1.5x1 cm. Cut-section showed white flakes ? Calcifications. On microscopy, sections studied show fibrocollagenous tissue with several tophi made up of pink eosinophilic material surrounded by foreign body giant cell reaction and lymphocytes. There are several cystic spaces filled with calcareous debris.
Hyperuricemia is the key risk factor for gout and is considered prerequisite for mono sodium urate crystal formation. Urate under excretion through kidney is the major mechanism for hyperuricemia. Tophus formation is the cardinal feature of advanced gout.
This paper presents a comparison of Least Significant Bit (LSB) based data hiding and a proposed Histogram Shifting (HS)-Reversible Data Hiding (RDH) based on grayscale division. In LSB substitution ...data hiding method the secret message is embedded in the least significant bit of the cover image. In histogram shifting data hiding the pixel value of the cover image is either incremented or decremented by one to carry one bit of secret data. Both the techniques aim at reversible data hiding where the original cover image is reconstructed without any loss or distortion after extracting the hidden data. A performance comparison of these two reversible data hiding techniques with respect to the performance metric Peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) is presented.
Primary vascular tumors occurring in lymph nodes are extremely rare. Nodal hemangiomas are benign vascular tumors that can occur at any age and seen mostly in females. It is usually asymptomatic, ...affects only one node, and does not recur. Four histologic types of hemangioma have been identified: capillary/cavernous, lobular capillary, cellular, and epithelioid. This case has been reported for its rarity
