Background
Allergic contact dermatitis to gloves is mostly induced by rubber accelerators. The European baseline series (EBS) appears insufficient to detect glove allergy. Since 2017, it is ...recommended to use the European rubber series (ERS) and to test the patients' own gloves.
Objectives
To investigate the clinical profile of glove‐wearing patients with hand eczema (HE) and to evaluate their sensitisation profile to glove allergens and the value of testing the patients' own gloves.
Methods
We conducted a French multicentre study of patients evaluated for HE between 2018 and 2020 and tested with the EBS, the ERS and their own gloves in patch tests and semi‐open (SO) tests.
Results
A total of 279 patients were included; 32.6% of patients had positive tests to their own gloves or to glove allergens. Almost 45% of the sensitisations to glove allergens were detected only by the ERS. Among the patients tested both in patch tests and SO tests with their own gloves with positive results, 28% had positive SO tests only. Polyvinylchloride (PVC) gloves were positive in four patients.
Conclusion
Our series confirms the need to test the ERS. All the patients' gloves must also be tested including PVC gloves. SO tests with gloves are useful as a complement to patch tests.

Summary Background There is no standard of care for adjuvant therapy for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. This trial was designed to assess the efficacy and safety of sorafenib versus placebo ...as adjuvant therapy in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma after surgical resection or local ablation. Methods We undertook this phase 3, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma with a complete radiological response after surgical resection (n=900) or local ablation (n=214) in 202 sites (hospitals and research centres) in 28 countries. Patients were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive 400 mg oral sorafenib or placebo twice a day, for a maximum of 4 years, according to a block randomisation scheme (block size of four) using an interactive voice-response system. Patients were stratified by curative treatment, geography, Child-Pugh status, and recurrence risk. The primary outcome was recurrence-free survival assessed after database cut-off on Nov 29, 2013. We analysed efficacy in the intention-to-treat population and safety in randomly assigned patients receiving at least one study dose. The final analysis is reported. This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov , number NCT00692770. Findings We screened 1602 patients between Aug 15, 2008, and Nov 17, 2010, and randomly assigned 1114 patients. Of 556 patients in the sorafenib group, 553 (>99%) received the study treatment and 471 (85%) terminated treatment. Of 558 patients in the placebo group, 554 (99%) received the study treatment and 447 (80%) terminated treatment. Median duration of treatment and mean daily dose were 12·5 months (IQR 2·6–35·8) and 577 mg per day (SD 212·8) for sorafenib, compared with 22·2 months (8·1–38·8) and 778·0 mg per day (79·8) for placebo. Dose modification was reported for 497 (89%) of 559 patients in the sorafenib group and 206 (38%) of 548 patients in the placebo group. At final analysis, 464 recurrence-free survival events had occurred (270 in the placebo group and 194 in the sorafenib group). Median follow-up for recurrence-free survival was 8·5 months (IQR 2·9–19·5) in the sorafenib group and 8·4 months (2·9–19·8) in the placebo group. We noted no difference in median recurrence-free survival between the two groups (33·3 months in the sorafenib group vs 33·7 months in the placebo group; hazard ratio HR 0·940; 95% CI 0·780–1·134; one-sided p=0·26). The most common grade 3 or 4 adverse events were hand-foot skin reaction (154 28% of 559 patients in the sorafenib group vs four <1% of 548 patients in the placebo group) and diarrhoea (36 6% vs five <1% in the placebo group). Sorafenib-related serious adverse events included hand-foot skin reaction (ten 2%), abnormal hepatic function (four <1%), and fatigue (three <1%). There were four (<1%) drug-related deaths in the sorafenib group and two (<1%) in the placebo group. Interpretation Our data indicate that sorafenib is not an effective intervention in the adjuvant setting for hepatocellular carcinoma following resection or ablation. aux phases d’analyse-compréhension du texte source et de transfert de la langue source vers la langue cible dans la
combinaison linguistique espagnol/français. Elle est directement reliée aux objectifs consistant, d’une part, à acquérir
des techniques pour surmonter les obstacles de nature cognitive présents dans les textes et, d’autre part, à appliquer
certaines notions acquises dans le cours de « Terminologie ». Quant à sa structure, l’article s’articule autour
des parties suivantes : l’introduction, la recherche didactique en traduction économique et financière, les fondements
théoriques de la proposition didactique, la méthodologie appliquée, la proposition en elle-même et la conclusion.

sur l’usage de la langue de la part de l’émetteur qui se doit de développer des stratégies discursives adaptées à son récepteur-cible dont
les profils sont hétérogènes.
La presente monografía aborda la participación social de las mujeres tanto en las instituciones como en las estructuras económicas y su protagonismo en ambas riberas del Mediterráneo en las dos ...primeras décadas del siglo XXI. El análisis que se ofrece a través de los estudios efectuados por las autoras, representa un serio y detallado panorama de la relación entre las mujeres y los sistemas económicos de los países que conforman la región mediterránea. Cada uno de ellos, trata de las externalidades negativas de estos sistemas y cómo circunscriben a las mujeres, configurándolas como los grupos perdedores en el desarrollo y funcionamiento de unos sistemas económicos que impiden en gran medida la emancipación y el progreso de estas como individuos y como emprendedoras de proyectos económicos que podrían estar en condiciones de acabar con la dependencia ancestral del género femenino.
La gran vigencia de los temas presentados en esta obra no hace más que situar sobre la arena las paradojas de un mundo en desarrollo que continua y deja atrás a más de la mitad de las poblaciones mediterráneas. Unos sistemas económicos que pretenden seguir avanzando hacia el futuro, excluyendo a la mitad de su población de pleno derecho y que provocan diversas problemáticas. Las autoras nos ofrecen un recorrido analítico de tales cuestiones: su extrema limitación de acceso al mercado laboral; el cambio en las mentalidades patriarcales que dominan las empresas y que impiden la entrada a las mujeres de forma natural;
la doble vulnerabilidad de las migrantes y su inserción en las economías de las sociedades de destino; las elevadas tasas de desempleo femenino como factor de expulsión de las mujeres del país de origen y la exigencia de movilidad para su supervivencia; las mayores dificultades en su acceso al trabajo remunerado y de peor calidad; la falta de información sobre sus derechos y la difícil implementación de las políticas de igualdad; la persistencia de las desigualdades salariales; la histórica exclusión de las mujeres del derecho de propiedad; y los desiguales efectos de las leyes tributarias estatales sobre las mujeres; concluyendo con un estudio término-fraseológico extraído de las contribuciones que conforman esta monografía. La peste porcine africaine (PPA) est une maladie, non zoonotique, qui affecte les suidés. Elle provoque une fièvre hémorragique souvent létale chez les porcs domestiques et les sangliers européens ...alors qu’elle est asymptomatique chez les suidés africains adultes. Cette infection est due à un virus à ADN, double brin et enveloppé, seul membre de la famille des Asfarviridae, qui peut aussi infecter des tiques molles du genre Ornithodoros, vecteur non obligatoire. La PPA, endémique en Afrique, a été réintroduite sur le continent européen en 2007, via la Géorgie, et a depuis diffusé largement jusqu’à atteindre l’union européenne en 2014, la Chine en 2018 avant de s’étendre à l’Asie du Sud-Est et aux îles du Pacifique. La haute résistance du virus dans l’environnement a favorisé sa large dispersion géographique en lien avec les activités humaines. Actuellement, en l’absence de vaccin ou de traitement disponible, seule l’application de mesures drastiques de biosécurité peut prévenir l’introduction en élevage.
In Euro‐EWING99‐R1 randomized trial, cyclophosphamide was shown to be noninferior to ifosfamide in the consolidation of standard‐risk Ewing sarcoma (SR‐EWS) after a common induction with VIDE ...(vincristine‐ifosfamide‐doxorubicin‐etoposide). We present the results of the late effects analysis of VAC (vincristine‐dactinomycin‐cyclophoshamide) vs VAI (vincristine‐dactinomycin‐ifosfamide) conducted in Euro‐EWING99‐R1 French cohort. Of 267 French randomized patients, 204 were alive and free‐of‐relapse at 5‐years including 172 with available long‐term follow‐up data concerning cardiac, renal and/or gonadal functions (sex‐ratio M/F = 1.3, median age at diagnosis = 14 years): 84 randomized in VAC (median cumulative doses: cyclophosphamide = 9.7 g/m2, ifosfamide = 59.4 g/m2) and 88 in VAI (ifosfamide = 97.1 g/m2). With a median follow‐up of 10 years (range = 5‐17), five late relapses and five second malignancies were recorded. The 10‐year event‐free survival among 5‐year free‐of‐relapse survivors was similar between VAC and VAI (93% vs 95%, P = .63). We estimated the 10‐year cumulative probabilities of cardiac and kidney toxicities at 4.4% (95% confidence interval 95% CI = 1.1%‐7.6%) and 34.8% (95% CI = 26.8%‐42.0%), respectively. Cardiac toxicity cumulative probability was similar in both arms, whereas kidney toxicity was higher in VAI (at 10 years, 43.0% vs 25.7%, P = .02), resulting from significant difference in glomerular toxicity (31.1% vs 13.1%, P < .01). At 10 years, gonadal toxicity was observed in 27% and 28% of pubertal men and women, respectively, without significant difference between VAC and VAI. Kidney and gonadal toxicities represent major issues in Euro‐EWING99‐R1, with significantly higher risk of kidney toxicities with VAI, without significant gonadal toxicity reduction. These results support the need to limit cumulative doses of both alkylating agents and to use mixed regimen as in VIDE‐VAC or VDC/IE (vincristine‐doxorubicin‐cyclophoshamide/ifosfamide‐etoposide).

The Euro‐EWING99‐R1 trial compared the alkylating agents cyclophosphamide with ifosfamide in combination treatment for Ewing sarcoma. Here, the authors compare the late events between the two combination treatments using data from 172 patients enrolled in Euro‐EWING99‐R1. The combination containing ifosfamide carried a higher risk of kidney toxicity, but both regimens carried high rates of gonadal toxicity. Some of this toxicity could be avoided, they suggest, by using a mixed regimen to limit the dose of both alkylating agents.
Les recherches sur les mobilités et les migrations dans l’Antiquité romaine constituent un champ particulièrement dynamique depuis une trentaine d’années. Contrairement à ce qu’il en est pour ...d’autres périodes historiques, l’approche de ces phénomènes par le prisme du genre demeure en revanche limitée et se concentre sur les pratiques et les identités des femmes en contexte de circulation. Après un bref bilan historiographique, cet article propose une réflexion méthodologique sur les apports et les limites des sources à disposition pour faire l’histoire de ces circulations féminines à la période romaine, en centrant le regard sur le corpus épigraphique. Sont au centre de la réflexion les inscriptions (essentiellement de nature funéraire) de la ville de Rome (fin de la République – Haut-Empire) où sont évoquées des femmes qui ont connu des épisodes de mobilité et sans doute une immigration durable, voire définitive, depuis les provinces de l’empire vers l’ Vrbs.
A genomic comparison of Yarrowia lipolytica and Saccharomyces cerevisiae indicates that the metabolism of Y. lipolytica is oriented toward the glycerol pathway. To redirect carbon flux toward lipid ...synthesis, the GUT2 gene, which codes for the glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase isomer, was deleted in Y. lipolytica in this study. This Δgut2 mutant strain demonstrated a threefold increase in lipid accumulation compared to the wild-type strain. However, mobilization of lipid reserves occurred after the exit from the exponential phase due to β-oxidation. Y. lipolytica contains six acyl-coenzyme A oxidases (Aox), encoded by the POX1 to POX6 genes, that catalyze the limiting step of peroxisomal β-oxidation. Additional deletion of the POX1 to POX6 genes in the Δgut2 strain led to a fourfold increase in lipid content. The lipid composition of all of the strains tested demonstrated high proportions of FFA. The size and number of the lipid bodies in these strains were shown to be dependent on the lipid composition and accumulation ratio.
