We present a phenomenological study of a CP-violating two-Higgs-doublet Model with type-II Yukawa couplings at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In the light of recent LHC data, we focus on ...the parameter space that survives the current and past experimental constraints as well as theoretical bounds on the model. Once the phenomeno-logical scenario is set, we analyse the scope of the LHC in exploring this model through the discovery of a charged Higgs boson produced in association with a

A luminosity determination based on thermal neutron counting with six MPX silicon pixel devices installed in the ATLAS cavern is presented. Recently, the ATLAS Collaboration published final s=8 TeV ...luminosity results. This made possible to perform a detailed comparison and verify the potential of the thermal neutron counting as a novel method for luminosity measurements to supplement the well-established presently used procedures. This measurement is unique to the MPX network and has the advantage that the neutrons, which pass the MPX devices, cannot result from activation processes of material nearby. Good agreement is found between the MPX neutron counting results and the ATLAS reference luminosity. The differences between the ATLAS and MPX luminosity measurements are described by a Gaussian distribution with width of 1.5%.
Searches for charginos, neutralinos, and sleptons at LEP2 centre-of-mass energies from 130 GeV to 189 GeV a shortly reviewed in the spirit of a lower limit on the mass of the Lightest Supersymmetric ...Particle within the MSSM framework. R-parity conservation has been assumed. Higgs mass limits are briefly mentioned.

We report on a conceptual design of the first level trigger for the SDC experiment at the SSC. Level 1 algorithms employ barrel and intermediate trackers, and electromagnetic and hadronic ...calorimeters. Results of simulations of background rates and efficiencies are presented together with a discussion of the simulation method. Tracking and calorimetric triggers are discussed in detail.
