The consistent improvements and fast-growing trend of information and communication technology (ICT) have impacted all areas of society and the economy. In 2020, with the sudden pandemic of COVID-19, ...businesses worldwide faced great challenges and had to transform and become digital-native enterprises by using data analytics, digital business platforms and personalized customer approaches. In such a digital era, innovation, entrepreneurial dynamism and ICT are the key ingredients for business' success and sustainability. Furthermore, it has become very clear that the influence of the ICT industry on economic growth is immense. Therefore, it should not come as a surprise that the interest in research of the ICT industry is great. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is the leading non-parametric mathematical technique for assessing performance and measuring efficiency of complex entities called Decision-Making-Units (DMUs), by conversion of multiple input variables to multiple output variables. DEA has experienced rapid growth in use in many areas ever since its introduction by Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes in 1978. The purpose of this paper is to present and describe Data Envelopment Analysis as the leading mathematical programming technique for data analysis and to provide an extensive literature review, to identify the studies implementing the DEA methodology in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and to present its findings. Furthermore, this study's goal is to inspire and encourage researchers to employ this methodology in the fields of ICT and to give guidance for future research in this area.
The overarching objective of this paper is to survey, identify and present the most relevant papers that have applied the leading non-parametric methodology (namely, the Data Envelopment Analysis, ...hereafter DEA) in the research field of multimedia. Another goal is to provide a theoretical background to the DEA methodology and the literature on multimedia.This systematic literature review has applied the PRISMA guidelines to include relevant DEA applications in multimedia-related studies. For this purpose, the most relevant and globally renowned scientific databases Clarivate Web of Science and the Scopus database have been explored with the use of the keywords "DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS" and "MULTIMEDIA". The review and survey have resulted in six published papers regarding multimedia with the application of DEA. Their findings, the used DEA models, and different perspectives of DEA application have been presented and analysed in more detail. All of the six surveyed papers have been published after 2005 (i.e. from 2006 to 2019) and their modest number implies that the DEA methodology, even though very well-known and quite popular in the literature for over three decades, has been neglected by researchers in the multimedia-related research. Hence, this paper represents an incentive and an inspiration to other scholars to implement the DEA methodology more often in their multimedia research and any other research for that matter.
This paper investigates the relationship between bank ownership and efficiency before and after the COVID-19 pandemic in a sample of 20 Croatian commercial banks in the period from 2015 to 2020. The ...interconnection between these variables is examined with the use of a dynamic data envelopment analysis (window DEA) framework. Other goals are to measure the relative efficiency of Croatian banks in the observed period as well as the evolvement of the banking sector as a whole. The findings reveal that domestic banks outperform by little foreign-owned Croatian banks during the COVID-19 crisis year 2020, but, moreover, domestic and small-sized banks have experienced the least negative impact of COVID-19 in 2020. The results regarding the impact of bank size on bank efficiency are inconsistent and require additional study. The used methodology and the findings of this empirical research could be of interest to academic members, bank management and policymakers. The latter should be especially interested in the results and the resilience of domestic and foreign banks to external shocks, in order to re-examine their current bank policies and the national attitude towards attracting foreign capital in the banking sector.

The overarching goal of this study is to survey all the relevant published studies in this area and present and analyse their results to synthesise the state of knowledge in the creative and cultural industries and sectors. Moreover, another goal is to provide a theoretical background to the creative and cultural industries and the Data Envelopment Analysis methodology.
This article conducts a Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis – a guided systematic review with stringent selection criteria to include relevant Data Envelopment Analysis applications in the creative and cultural industries. The methodology resulted in 13 relevant articles regarding the efficiency of creative and cultural industries and the application of the Data Envelopment Analysis methodology in the creative and cultural industries and sectors. The main findings reveal that there are no studies employing the Data Envelopment Analysis method in the creative and cultural industries and sectors prior to 2012, which raises many issues for future consideration. Moreover, all the different perspectives on the efficiency evaluation of the creative and cultural industries are presented. The ultimate objective is to point out to academic members, researchers and analysts globally to apply the Data Envelopment Analysis methodology more often in the creative and cultural industries and sectors and refer to future research priorities in this field.
The purpose of this study is to analyse the business performance, i.e. business efficiency of the New York Times in the process of its digital transformation. The main methodology used in this study ...is the regression analysis. This research focuses on the financial efficiency of the New York Times in combination with the trend of the number of users. On one hand, the financial stability of the business is investigated, and on the other, the transformation and trend of the number of users are analysed. The comparison of the research results is aimed at answering research questions in the context of the impact of digital transformation on the business efficiency of a corporation. The findings serve as the basis for decision-making in the process of digital transformation of the analysed corporation, and the model can also be used by other players in the media industry (or any other industry) in the process of their digital transformation. Furthermore, this study argues the benefits from the digital transformation of a business and the impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on the acceleration of the digital transformation processes in organizations across the globe.
The aim of this paper is to point out the changes brought by the postmodernism in the global media industry. Modernism was crated simultaneously with the development of the publishing and it lasted ...several hundred years. Postmodernism was formed in the womb of broadcasting and in just a few years it took over the global market which has been under the control of the publishing houses for several hundred years. The two economic crises at the beginning of the 21st century marked the entry of the global media industry into the mature phase. By entering the mature phase, the media markets of the most economically developed countries had stabilized. Revenues were no longer recording high growth rates and some countries have started to record a negative growth rates in the past five years. In the global market, several global vertically integrated corporations positioned themselves by employing the takeover strategies, which pushed out the smaller competitors from the market. The period of maturity had revealed the specifics of the media industry and the need for interdisciplinary scientific approach. Analyzing the development of certain categories of the medial industry in different geographic areas it is clear that threw are significant differences in the degree of their development. This was influenced by various factors of which the most important ones are recognized in the historical development and the cultural diversities of the certain geographical areas. Economies, as a scientific discipline, gave its significant contribution to the study of the media industry relatively late, at the end of the twentieth century and become an equal partner to other sciences that were already represented in the analyses. The media industry, as a typical representative of postmodernism, requires a holistic approach in order to find answers to the asked questions.
U radu je primijenjena metodologija matematičkog programiranja AOMP (analiza omeđivanje podataka) modela analize u evaluaciji i mjerenju efikasnosti i uspješnosti hrvatskih županija. Temeljni je cilj ...ovog članka prikazati i analizirati efikasnost i uspješnost županija uz rijeku Dravu (Koprivničko-križevačke, Virovitičko-podravske i Međimurske županije) te dati zaključke o ovoj regiji i njezinoj regionalnoj efikasnosti. Ostali se ciljevi referiraju na korištenje i tumačenje teoretske pozadine AOMP metodologije. Riječ je o jednoj od najpopularnijih ne parametarskih metoda u evaluaciji efikasnosti od njenog uvođenja u revolucionarni rad Charnesa, Coopera i Rhodesa 1978. godine. U radu se koristi opsežni pregled literature o studijama primjene AOMP metodologije te dubinska evaluacija učinkovitosti hrvatskih županija. Autori su pregledali baze podataka Scopus, Web of Science (SSCI i SCI radovi) i CROSBI (Hrvatska znanstvena bibliografija) koristeći ključne riječi »CROATIA«, »COUNTY« i »DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS« kao ključne riječi za istraživanje. Pronađeno je sedam radova u Scopusu, petnaest na Web of Science i jedanaest na CROSBI-u, što je u konačnici rezultiralo pronalaskom dvanaest relevantnih radova za ovu analizu. Nadalje, ova studija analizira dosadašnji rad na području učinkovitosti županija u podravskoj regiji, kao i dubinsku analizu korištenih modela, skupa varijabli i njihovih nalaza. Rezultati analize otkrivaju različite aspekte evaluacije efikasnosti hrvatskih županija s posebnim naglaskom na županije uz rijeku Dravu. Koprivničko-križevačka i Virovitičko-podravska županija pokazale su visoku ekološku i ukupnu energetsku učinkovitost, ali su bile najmanje učinkovite u poduzetništvu i socijalnim uslugama za starije osobe, sukladno. Prema dobivenim rezultatima, Međimurska županija je najneučinkovitija županija u analiziranoj regiji. Štoviše, tri analizirane podravske županije u većini studija pokazuju tehničku neučinkovitost te ispodprosječnu učinkovitost. U tom kontekstu, županije trebaju uzeti u obzir dobivene rezultate te usporediti i primijeniti najbolje prakse iz visoko učinkovitih hrvatskih županija. Ovaj bi rad mogao poslužiti kao poticaj za veću upotrebu AOMP metodologije kao vrlo relevantne tehnike za ocjenu učinkovitosti i izvedbe, kao i alata za usporedbu u različitim regijama.
The supplier selection process is a strategic decision-making process that influences the company’s sustainability. Lately, the sustainability concept has been highlighted as an organization’s source ...of success and profitability. Therefore, the selection of a sustainable supplier has become an imperative for organizations and is the focus of this manuscript. Suppliers are key stakeholders in the supply chain, and their proper selection is a key factor in a successful and sustainable supply chain. For this reason, it is crucial to determine how and which methods are mostly used by companies when choosing sustainable suppliers with the aim of examining whether the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) contributes to the same. This article is the first to present a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of 87 articles dealing with the application of DEA in the sustainable supplier selection in the period 2010–2022, with the application of the keywords “Data Envelopment Analysis”, “Supplier”, and “Sustainable” in Scopus and Web of Science databases. The main goal of this manuscript is to explore the applications of DEA in a sustainable supplier selection and to provide an analysis and visualization of bibliometric data to reveal the annual trends of published articles in this area, the top contributing journals, the most cited papers, the most contributing authors, citations, affiliations, and countries’ analysis, and an in-depth keyword visualization analysis. The findings of this study provide valuable insights and emphasize the ever-growing trend toward the selection of sustainable partners and suppliers in business using DEA methodology. Notably, this work shows the applicability and efficacy of DEA in specialized areas of supply chain management and should contribute to the construction of an overview of the existing literature on DEA studies regarding the process of selection of sustainable suppliers in supply chain management as well as stimulate the interest in the topic. This article gives an overview of a research field that is actually insufficiently explored through the scientific literature and presents a wide area and guidelines for future work.

je poznat pod nazivom digitalizacija, što ujedno podrazumijeva sve faze transformacije
kroz koje organizacija prolazi. Proces digitalizacije usmjeren je k smanjenju troškova proizvodnje, odnosno povećanju prihoda, što čini temeljeni dio optimizacije proizvodnog procesa. U radu se posebno obrađuju sve faze procesa kako bi se naglasak stavio na kontinuitet
digitalne transformacije. Jednom dostignuta razina digitalne transformacije temelj je za racionalizaciju proizvodnog procesa, optimizaciju troškova te daljnju digitalnu transformaciju
na temelju usvajanja novih tehnoloških rješenja.
Tourism is one of the largest and continuously booming economic sectors globally that significantly contributes primarily to GDP, employment, and prosperity. The efficiency of this sector is, ...therefore, closely researched and investigated by scholars across the globe. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA henceforward) is one of the leading non-parametric methodologies that evaluates the performance and relative efficiency of complex and homogeneous entities called Decision-Making Units (DMUs).
The main aim of this study is to explore, identify and present different applications of DEA in Croatian tourism, which is one of the sectors that contributes the most to the economy. Other goals are to present ten surveyed papers that employ the DEA methodology. To identify the surveyed studies, an extensive literature review has been conducted, and the Scopus, Web of Science, and CROSBI (Croatian Scientific Bibliography) databases have been browsed, with the keywords "DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS", "TOURISM "and "CROATIA ". Furthermore, the study of Neralić and Gardijan Kedžo (2019) has been used as a foundation of the literature review. The key findings indicate that most of these ten surveyed papers employ the DEA BCC output-oriented model, and most of the analyzed time frame is from 2011 onwards.
