Generative Programming (GP) is a discipline of Automatic programming introduced in the late nineties with the intention of introducing more flexibility into the development process of generators. ...But, despite the recent advances in this area, most of GP approaches still use the static form of specification for defining target application features. The dynamic form of specification changes during the application execution and thus requires a dynamic generation system to generate the code in real time. This paper presents the usage of Dynamic Specification that is based on our previously introduced generation system named Autogenerator. The model is tested on a case study in the form of an online language dictionary.
One of the important objectives and concerns today is to find efficient means to manage the information security risks to which organizations are exposed. Due to a lack of necessary data and time and ...resource constraints, very often it is impossible to gather and process all of the required information about an IT system in order to properly assess it within an acceptable timeframe. That puts the organization into a state of increased security risk. One of the means to solve such complex problems is the use of multicriteria decision-making methods that have a strong mathematical foundation. This paper presents a hybrid multicriteria model for the evaluation of critical IT systems where the elements for risk analysis and assessment are used as evaluation criteria. The iterative steps of the design science research (DSR) methodology for development of a new multicriteria model for the objectives of evaluation, ranking, and selection of critical information systems are delineated. The main advantage of the new model is its use of generic criteria for risk assessment instead of redefining inherent criteria and calculating related weights for each individual IT system. That is why more efficient evaluation, ranking, and decision-making between several possible IT solutions can be expected. The proposed model was validated in a case study of online banking transaction systems and could be used as a generic model for the evaluation of critical IT systems.

The most important process, on which most time is spent, when building data warehouses is the Extract Transform Load (ETL) process. Automation of such process is an expected thing to do. In this work ...the focus is on automation for generating ETL workflows which is currently not very well researched. The idea is to build systems which model the ETL process based on semantics and suggest the needed transformation and mappings for automatic generation of ETL workflows. In this work an architecture is presented to automatically integrate the system which generates mappings and transformations based on ontologies and the traditional ETL tools. The architecture of the prototyped system is message based which enables parallel processing.
The paper presents the results of an experiment where multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) were used to locate intruder UAV operator. UA Vs were equipped with hardware of such dimension and ...weight that can be mounted on them. The hardware is then used to detect, identify, and track UAV signal to enable localization of intruder UAV operator. The measured signal strength is used to calculate distance between UAVs and intruder UAV operator to determine its exact location. Several problems need to be overcome to achieve that and they are addressed in the paper.
When considering strategic games from the conceptual perspective that focuses on the questions of participants’ decision-making rationality, the very issues of modelling and simulation are rarely ...discussed. The well-known Rational Pigs matrix game has been relatively intensively analyzed in terms of reassessment of the logic of two players involved in asymmetric situations as gluttons that differ significantly by their attributes. This paper presents a successful attempt of using autogenerator for creating the framework of the game, including the predefined scenarios and corresponding payoffs. Autogenerator offers flexibility concerning the specification of game parameters, which consist of variations in the number of simultaneous players and their features and game objects and their attributes as well as some general game characteristics. In the proposed approach the model of autogenerator was upgraded so as to enable program specification updates. For the purpose of treatment of more complex strategic scenarios, we created the Rational Pigs Game Extended (RPGE), in which the introduction of a third glutton entails significant structural changes. In addition, due to the existence of particular attributes of the new player, “the tramp,” one equilibrium point from the original game is destabilized which has an influence on the decision-making of rational players.

The on demand generation of source code and its execution is essential if computers are expected to play an active role in information discovery and retrieval. This paper presents a model of ...implementation of a source code generator, whose purpose is to generate source code on demand. Theimplementation of the source code generator is fully configurable and its adoption to a new application is done by changing the generator configuration and not the generator itself. The advantage of using the source code generator is rapid and automatic development of a family of application once necessary program templates and generator configuration are made. The model of implementation of the source code generator is general and implemented source code generator can be used in differentareas. We use a source code generator for dynamic generation of ontology supported Web services for data retrieval and for building of different kind of web application.
This paper presents an ontological model for specifying and automatically generating complete business Web applications. First, a modular and expandable ontological model for specifying form-based, ...business Web applications is developed and presented. Next, the technology used for transforming the ontological specification to Java executable code is explained. Finally, the results of applying the proposed model for specifying and generating an order management application are presented. Results showed that the application of an ontological model in a generative programming approach increases the level of abstraction. This approach is especially suitable for development of software families, where similar features are reused in multiple products/applications.

While generating program files that can be executed afterwards is widely established in Automatic programming, the generation of programming code and its execution on demand without creating program files is still a challenge. In the approach presented in this paper a generator entitled Autogenerator uses the ability of scripting languages to evaluate programming code from a variable. The main benefits of this approach lie in facilitating the application change during its execution on the one hand and in dependencies update on the other. Autogenerator can be useful in the development of a common Generative programming application for previewing the application before the generation of the final release. With the aim of examining specific facets of the autogeneration process, we also conducted performance tests. Finally, the presented model of Autogenerator is verified through the development of an application for the creation and handling of Universal Business Language documents.
