The image of chronic wounds on human skin tissue has the similar look in shape, color and size to each other even though they are caused by different diseases. Diabetic ulcer is a condition where ...peripheral arterial blood vessels are disrupted due to hyperglycemia in people with diabetes mellitus. This research was aimed to analyze the accuracy of the Convolutional Neural Network algorithm in classifying diabetic ulcer disease with a transfer learning approach based on the appearance of the image of the wound on the sole in people with diabetes mellitus. By applying the transfer learning approach, the results showed that the Resnet152V2 model achieved the best accuracy value of 0.993 (99%), precision of 1.00, recall of 0.986, F1-Score of 0.993 and Support of 72. Therefore, the ResNet152V2 model was highly considered for classifying diabetic ulcer in patients with diabetes melitus.
Background: Herniorrhaphy is the most often procedure conducted in abdominal operation. The usage of prolene mesh is the gold standard in inguinal hernia operation, however its usage increases the ...incidence of surgical site infection. In 2005, Global Infectious Complications (GIC) scoring system was developed to predict the risk of surgical site infection after herniorrhaphy procedure. Objective: To predict the incidence of surgical site infection after Lichtenstein herniorrhaphy operation conducted in Moh. Hoesin Central General Hospital, Palembang based on GIC Score. Method: This prognostic study was designed as a cohort study and were performed from June 2019 until October 2019. There were 34 inguinal hernia patients and were divided into 2 groups of surgical site infection risk based on GIC score. 23 samples were grouped in lower risk while 11 samples were grouped in high risk. Lichtenstein herniorrhaphy procedure was conducted using prolene mesh and the patients were observed for one month for any occurrence of surgical site infection. Conclusion: GIC score could not be used to predict the surgical site infection for Lichtenstein herniorrhaphy operation for patients receiving treatment at Moh. Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang, Indonesia.
Introduction. Abdominal wound dehiscence (AWD) is a significant risk factor for mortality during the perioperative period. The high mortality rate, prolonged hospitalization, and increased incidence ...of repeat operations increase in hospital costs result in worsening the AWD problem itself. This study aims to determine the determinants of abdominal wound dehiscence in post-laparotomy patients at the Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang, Indonesia.
Methods. This study is quantitative analytical research with a cross-sectional design to determine the determinants of abdominal wound dehiscence (AWD) in post-laparotomy patients based on secondary data from medical records at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang, Indonesia. A total of 161 research subjects participated in this study.
Results. Emergency surgery patients are 0.4 times more likely to experience AWD than elective patients. Then, patients who experience hypoalbuminemia have 1.8 times the risk, those aged more than 60 years have 0.5 times the risk, sepsis has 1.5 times the risk, and trauma patients have 0.8 times the risk of experiencing AWD.
Conclusion. Emergency surgery is the most influential determinant in the incidence of AWD at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, Indonesia.
Possible effect of dietary manipulations on the breeding behavior of Chinese and Indian major carps have been observed. Five commercially important fish species viz., Grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon ...idella), Silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix), Catla (Catla catla), Rohu (Labeo rohita), and Mrigal (Cirrhinus mrigal), were selected for these studies. There were five dietary groups. Group 1 or control received natural food produced by the fortnightly applications of organic and inorganic fertilizers. Group 2 and 3 in addition to natural food, also received low protein (20%) supplementary feed @ 1 and 3% of fish weight, respectively. Group 4 received only high protein (35%) feed @ 5% of fish biomass. Feeding was started in February. Matured fishes were induced to spawn using muscular injections of "Ovaprim". The number of females matured, spawned successfully, eggs released by each female, percent fertilized and post-spawning mortality were compared. Female maturity rate, total number of eggs released by each female, percentage fertilized and post-spawn survival was significantly higher in group 4 than its counterparts (P 0.05). These studies have shown that good husbandry and feed does pay dividends in terms of quality mass seed production.
