corrected Descending necrotizing mediastinitis (DNM) is an acute, serious, septic disease which results from a complication of oropharyngeal infection. The disease requires a prompt diagnosis and ...radical surgical treatment to reduce high mortality (40%). The optimal form of mediastinal drainage remains conroversial. The reason for publishing this report is both the fact that DNM is very rare and our experience prefering thoracotomy as an optimal approach to treating the disease.
We reported a 34-years-old woman with DNM. The disease began as a peritonsillar abscess. After a bilateral double pleural drainage the disease worsened. In order to achieve radical mediastinal debridement and drainage, we carried out posterolateral right thoracotomy. We also had to perform left thoracotomy bacause of massive bleeding coused by septic erosion. There were no more reoperations.
Aggressive surgical treatment, regardless the localization and the extent of changes is the key to success in the treatment of patients with necrotizing mediastinitis.

The goal of this case report has been to show completely documented diagnostic procedures and surgical treatment one of rare pathological condition.
A 62-year-old patient was admitted to our clinic because of surgical treatment of the enormous elevation of the left hemidiaphragm. After thoracotomy and plication of the bulging diaphragm, lung compression did not exist any more and mediastinum went back in the normal position.
Elevation of the diaphragm rarely demands surgical correction. When it is complicated with lung compression and disabilitating dyspnea, surgical treatment has extremely useful functional effect.

Fire represents a dangerous event, especially in inhabited areas where it can cause extensive economical damage, as well as take human lives, and therefore early fire detection is of utmost ...importance and requires careful attention. Utilizing images from security cameras and computer vision algorithms, it is possible to detect and raise the alarm in the event of a fire. The existence of similar-colored lights to the flame's color is the greatest obstacle to indoor fire detection when it comes to computer vision. The lights may trigger false positive detections, resulting in false alarms and potential fire suppression by automated systems. By developing a new fire dataset for the training of deep neural networks, we attempted to circumvent the stated issue. Our dataset includes images of different colored lights, images with reflections of light that resemble the color of fire, and images of fire in a variety of environments, including warehouses, factories, shopping malls, residential buildings, offices, etc. Although there are numerous scientific papers and datasets for fire detection, there are not many datasets containing images of indoor fires. In this paper, we show a process of collecting and annotating images representing indoor fire in a manner suitable for deep neural network training. Furthermore, we present the developed Fire Sense image annotation tool and the process of image annotation. The dataset currently consists of more than 11000 annotated images of various types of fires in different environments.

-10; 10, osim za p = 0. Slične su ovoj jednadžbi Pitagorina i Fermatova
jednadžba, pa ćemo originalnim paralelnim programom u programskom
jeziku C++ istražiti koliki je odmak slučajno izabrane trojke prirodnih
brojeva od uvjeta Bealove, Fermatove i Pitagorine jednadžbe u prvih
milijun, milijardu ili bilijun prirodnih brojeva.
U točki 1 i 2 dajemo matematičke osnove područja, u sljedeće tri
točke računalnim programom analiziramo rješenja triju navedenih jednadžbi, dok je zadnja točka zaključak.

We report a patient with stenosis of the right main bronchus due to blunt injury sustained in a traffic accident. We present all pathophysiological signs detected during examination. The patient had dyspnea, cianosis, tachycardia, low oxygen saturation and low pO2. We performed right thoracothomy and resection of the main bronchus with TT anastomosis.
It is very useful to understand the described pathophysiological signs so as to ensure rapid diagnosis of stenosis, but also better and timely solving of problems that can occur during thoracothomy.

A case of angiosarcoma involving breast parenchyma in a patient treated with quadrantectomy and radiotherapy for T1cN1Mx breast carcinoma is presented.
The future of mobile systems relies on big data and fast information processing to improve efficiency, user experience, and system autonomy. With the massive growth of intelligent and mobile devices, ...along with the development of computational and communication technologies, a vast amount of data is being generated which needs to be processed and distributed as fast as possible, while reducing costs. Therefore, gathering and data processing, as well as efficient distribution of messages across the network, is the key problem of future mobile systems. In this paper, we are proposing a cost-effective method that relies on fog and edge computing principles called FOGO (FOG Optimization). The method proposes a three layer architecture that utilizes an upgraded existing infrastructure where the mobile nodes will create a fog service layer that could provide processing of medium-sized messages and the distribution of the results across the network. Furthermore, cloud computing is also considered but only in a case of necessity for a large-sized data processing. The proposed system architecture is described along with the method flowcharts, operating algorithms, and proposed message structure. Furthermore, the metrics for the system performance evaluation are proposed, as well as possible application domains.
Every year, fire is responsible for numerous deaths, as well as huge material losses. Therefore, prevention and early detection of fire have become a priority for society, as well as the main ...research and development issue for many scientists and various industries. This paper describes our work in the development of FireBot, an autonomous surveillance robot. The Firebot is equipped with modern technologies and state-of-the-art navigational and computer vision methods that enable autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, video surveillance, fire prevention and detection, and fire extinguishing. It utilizes both infrared thermal (IRT) and RGB cameras paired with a modern convolutional neural network (CNN) for fault and fire detection, as well as various other sensors for analyzing air composition, processing of surrounding sounds, and detecting irregularities in its environment in general. The best performing CNN was implemented and tested in real-world environments for fire detection purposes, the results of which are presented in this paper. A state-of-the-art SLAM algorithm paired with LiDAR and a depth camera is used for mapping and navigation. The architecture presented in this paper, along with all functionalities planned for future work, represents an innovative autonomous surveillance system that will make a great contribution in the field of fire prevention and detection.
