Smart learning environments (SLEs) have gained considerable momentum in the last 20 years. The term SLE has emerged to encompass a set of recent trends in the field of educational technology, heavily ...influenced by the growing impact of technologies, such as cloud services, mobile devices, and interconnected objects. However, the term SLE has been used inconsistently by the technology-enhanced learning (TEL) community since different research works employ the adjective "smart" to refer to different aspects of novel learning environments. Previous surveys on SLEs are narrowly focused on specific technologies or remain at a theoretical level that does not discuss practical implications found in empirical studies. To address this inconsistency and also to contribute to a common understanding of the SLE concept, this article presents a systematic literature review of papers published between 2000 and 2019 discussing SLEs in empirical studies. Sixty-eight papers out of an initial list of 1341 papers were analyzed to identify the following: 1) what affordances make a learning environment smart; 2) which technologies are used in SLEs; and 3) in what pedagogical contexts are SLEs used. Considering the limitations of previous surveys, and the inconsistent use of the SLE concept in the TEL community, this article presents a comprehensive characterization to describe SLEs through their affordances, the technologies used, and pedagogical approaches considered in the selected papers. As a result, specific core functions of SLEs are identified and explained. This work aims at ensuring a relevant knowledge base and reference toward the implementation of future SLEs.
Abstract
The data currently described was generated within the EU/FP7 HeCaToS project (
He
patic and
Ca
rdiac
To
xicity
S
ystems modeling). The project aimed to develop an
in silico
prediction system ...to contribute to drug safety assessment for humans. For this purpose, multi-omics data of repeated dose toxicity were obtained for 10 hepatotoxic and 10 cardiotoxic compounds. Most data were gained from
in vitro
experiments in which 3D microtissues (either hepatic or cardiac) were exposed to a therapeutic (physiologically relevant concentrations calculated through PBPK-modeling) or a toxic dosing profile (IC20 after 7 days). Exposures lasted for 14 days and samples were obtained at 7 time points (therapeutic doses: 2-8-24-72-168-240-336 h; toxic doses 0-2-8-24-72-168-240 h). Transcriptomics (RNA sequencing & microRNA sequencing), proteomics (LC-MS), epigenomics (MeDIP sequencing) and metabolomics (LC-MS & NMR) data were obtained from these samples. Furthermore, functional endpoints (ATP content, Caspase3/7 and O2 consumption) were measured in exposed microtissues. Additionally, multi-omics data from human biopsies from patients are available. This data is now being released to the scientific community through the BioStudies data repository (
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/
).
This prospectus refers to parasitoids and predators identified in studies carried out in different landscaped areas of the northern area of Valencia. The insects that we can observe in this booklet have been captured by taking plant samples (branches and/or fruits). They have been processed in funnel of Berlesse to extract the predators and parasitoids present in the pests studied. This booklet aims to give a “basic level” knowledge of each insect. In it appear different identification notes, the name of the controlled pest and the plant species where they are housed, as well as bibliographic sources of interest for each species. This work has been carried out within the framework of a collaboration agreement that the UPV, through the Department of Agroforestry Ecosystems, maintains with Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.L., for the integrated management of pests of the Service of Parques y Jardines of the city of Valencia.

Observation Schedule I Laborda Cenjor, Rafael; Sanchez Domingo, Adrian; Rodrigo Santamalia, Mª Eugenia ... Web Resource
This “Observation Calendar I” has been structured based on the pests that are observed in the city and that are reason for monitoring and/or treatment to produce neighborhood discomfort, for ...aesthetic reasons and/or for affecting the health of the plant species. The reason for this timetable has been to provide a consultation tool for operators dealing with urban gardening management through the agreement established between the UPV and FCC. The observation dates are orientative and may vary depending on the annual climatology. The named active materials may vary depending on the updates of the Official Register of Phytosanitary Products. These places have been realized with the intention of being a practical tool and easy to consult for all operators who carry out their work in different areas of urban gardening management.
