Sustainable development is a very interesting issue to study, with the emergence of sustainable development in 2015 this has become even sturdier. Environmental problems are one of the 17 goals of ...sustainable development, which is a consideration aspect for country or region in improving social and economic sectors. Ecotourism emerged in an effort to solve various overlapping problems in realizing development. The purpose of this study is to determine the contribution made by ecotourism in realizing sustainable development on Pulau Merah Beach, Banyuwangi. Pulau Merah Beach has applied the concept of ecotourism to support sustainable development goals. This can be seen from the results of interviews, observations and documentation that we have done. Result of collaboration between site managers and business owners makes Pulau Merah Beach visitor’s rise, which indirectly increases the amount of revenue for tourism site which was managed by the local government and following with direct impact felt by business owners at the Pulau Merah Beach.
Kemiren village is well known today as one of the tourist destinations that has a distinctive appeal to the culture of the Osing tribe, which is one of the tribes found on Java. The purpose of this ...study is to examine the impact of community-based rural tourism (CBRT) activities with an approach to the economic, socio-cultural and natural environment dimensions associated with the quality of life of residents in Kemiren village. The results of the research conducted show that tourism activities in the area have been able to become a source of income for most households in order to improve the standard of living of the Kemiren villagers. However, the development of tourism activities that occurs has an impact on changes in the livelihoods of local residents because of the high profits obtained from tourism activities. Increased job opportunities have also led to a high flow of people working there. Protection of the environment is seen as not a priority in relation to tourism activities in development carried out by local governments. However, Kemiren village’s resident still have high concern and are actively involved in preserving the environment. Local people believe in development of tourism activities will impact their welfare.
The role of the national tourism sector is increasingly important in line with the development and contribution of the tourism sector through foreign exchange, income, regional development as well as ...investment and employment and business development in various parts of Indonesia. Tourism villages have become a trend of developing alternative villages in the last decade. From year to year, the number of tourist villages in Indonesia has also grown rapidly. East Java Province is one of the provinces that has consistently developed the Tourism Village. Banyuwangi Regency has many interesting tourism objects to develop, such as nature tourism, historical tourism, art and cultural tourism or other tourism. Tampo Village is famous for its batik village tours which provide typical Banyuwangi batik. This study uses a research and development (R&D) design. The expected outputs are in the form of analysis of information updates on the potential of the batik tourism village and the batik tourism village development model. The development of the batik industry in Tampo aims to preserve cultural wealth and develop the potential that exists in Tampo Village. The potential for batik is one of the means to increase the economic growth of the village of Tampo. Through the development of a tourism village using the CBT approach, it is hoped that the Tampo batik tourism village can become one of the tourist attractions in Banyuwangi Regency.
The development teams who are geographically spread, culturally mixed and mainly depend on information and communication technology (ICT) for communication is defined as a global virtual teams ...(GVTs). Despite the advancement of technologies, achieving the efficient performance of GVTs remains a challenge. The reviewed literature has highlighted the importance of training and development, organizational commitment and motivation in enhancing the performance of GVTs. This study aims to identify the key performance indicators (KPIs), measures, and variables for assisting the GVT performance in global software development projects (GSD). In addition, this study aims to measure the GVTs performance involving online training and development, organizational commitment, and motivation in GSD projects. A survey was conducted among 103 respondents. Then, the performance measurement model (PMM) for GVTs in GSD projects was proposed based on the result of the survey. Finally, the project managers validated the study model. The proposed PMM includes four major components, namely performance measurement processes, mapping strategy for performance evaluation, measurements and performance analysis. The results showed the validity of the proposed model and confirmed that the PMM can assist project managers in measuring the performance of GVTs in GSD Projects.
The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the condition of household financial literacy in community-based tourism which has continued to develop. Another thing that is also being ...studied knows the right way that households in the community-based tourism area are more empowered by increasing their financial literacy. In this research, the approach used is descriptive qualitative by conducting field studies to explore information from questionnaires given to respondents who are households in the community-based tourism area. Then conclude through purposive question to be able descripting real conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that not many households in community-based tourism are well literate with a low level of financial knowledge, so they are still unable to optimize the income they receive. There is a scheme from the government to help improve the welfare of the community in community-based tourism areas with financial assistance and financial knowledge. This research only conducts studies in certain areas in the area around Junrejo municipality, Batu, East Java. The location is an area that has community groups that mostly have livelihoods as provider of tourism good and services.
