The rates of subsea permafrost degradation and occurrence of gas-migration pathways are key factors controlling the East Siberian Arctic Shelf (ESAS) methane (CH
) emissions, yet these factors still ...require assessment. It is thought that after inundation, permafrost-degradation rates would decrease over time and submerged thaw-lake taliks would freeze; therefore, no CH
release would occur for millennia. Here we present results of the first comprehensive scientific re-drilling to show that subsea permafrost in the near-shore zone of the ESAS has a downward movement of the ice-bonded permafrost table of ∼14 cm year
over the past 31-32 years. Our data reveal polygonal thermokarst patterns on the seafloor and gas-migration associated with submerged taliks, ice scouring and pockmarks. Knowing the rate and mechanisms of subsea permafrost degradation is a prerequisite to meaningful predictions of near-future CH
release in the Arctic.

This article reviews the current state of digital mammography equipment and assesses technical requirements for its functional units.
Feuilleton occupied an important place in the system of genres of the pre-revolutionary press. The genre allowed the publishers to openly express their position, criticize the phenomena of social ...life, and point out the existing problems of society. Feuilletons were often signed with pseudonyms, and some authors transformed pseudonyms into full-fledged “literary masks” that proved to be an important part of the poetics of feuilletons and literary play. Feuilletons were incredibly influential in the provincial press due to its more difficult censorship position than the capital. The leading newspaper of Siberia in 1881–1888 was the Tomsk “Sibir- skaya gazeta” that fully revealed the feuilleton talent of the exiled populist and poet F. V. Volkhovsky. The purpose of the study was to identify the content and structural features of the cycle of feuilletons “Siberian Museum” by F. V. Volkhovsky, signed by his pseudonym “Conservator.” The cycle was published in 1884–1885 and comprised 14 works. The “Siberi-an Museum” turned out to be one of the most conceptual feuilleton cycles by Volkhovsky. The idea of “collecting museum exhibits” became a kind of “frame” for designing the feuille-ton content, expanding the author’s capabilities in implementing the installation of “satire on faces,” and it is here that one can see a direct parallel with the satire of N. I. Novikov. “Con-servator” was the first “literary mask” of Volkhovsky, the closest to the author himself with his democratic position. However, this allowed Volkhovsky to expand the problem-thematic framework of feuilletons and to test new satire methods that were in demand among the read-er of Siberian periodicals.
Acid-related diseases occupy a leading place in the structure of the incidence of the gastrointestinal tract. One of the important aspects of studying them now is to consider them in combination with ...coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, asthma and other common diseases and conditions. Proton pump inhibitors are currently the basis for the treatment of acid-related diseases. Although all PPIs are very effective, the antisecretory effects of various drugs of this class may differ in different patients, especially in the presence of comorbidities and comorbidities. The pharmacokinetics and metabolism of rabeprazole are significantly different from those of other IPPs. The clearance of rabeprazole is largely non-enzymatic and depends little on the functioning of the cytochrome P450 (CYP) 2C19 system, which determines the predictability of the effect of rabeprazole and its safety for patients taking several drugs at the same time. A distinctive effect of rabeprazole is the activation of rabeprazole in a wide pH range, the presence of a gastroprotective effect and anti-helicobacter activity.
The research embraces the investigation results of glauconites in Bakchar iron ore occurrences to evaluate the potential diversified commercial application of this mineral. The following lab methods ...were used to analyze the morphology, chemical composition and structure of glauconites: granulometric analysis, optical microscopy, electron microscopy, X-ray fluorescence analysis, atomic arc-emission analysis and infrared spectroscopy. Glauconite was classified according to morphology and grain color and chemical composition and some specific characteristics were also determined (relative content of absorbed water, random distribution of smectite flakes within the grain structures). The research results showed that pistacho-green glauconite grains are less subjected to alteration than greenish-yellow grains due to the content of potassium, iron, absorbed water and organic impurities.

The current state and trends in the development of Russian radiologic equipment during the period of transition to digital technology is discussed. The problems of supply of medical organizations, ...production of X-ray apparatuses, and research and education are considered. Approaches to bridging the gap separating domestic radiology from that of highly developed countries are suggested.
