U svojem prilogu autor u okviru filozofske sistematike Bonifaca Badrova, dugogodišnjega profesora filozofije na Franjevačkoj teologiji u Sarajevu, nastoji najprije osvijetliti njegovo ...skolastičko-neoskolastičko razumijevanje istine kao adaequatio intellectus et rei koje mu služi kao nît vodilja za njegovo koncipiranje »filozofije znanosti«, s posebnim osvrtom na njegovo razumijevanje tijeka »tvorbe pojmova«. Pritom se pokazuje kako se pojmovi tvore putem definicija kao opisi značenja. Time pojam gubi svoju usidrenost u neposrednoj ljudskoj egzistenciji, tj. on se ne razumije kao rezultat odnosa između complicatio i explicatio (N. Kuzanski) ni kao tijek čovjekova zadobivanja sebe u vlastitoj egzistenciji (H.-G. Gadamer), zbog čega pitanje o smislu gubi u konačnici svako značenje ne samo za čovjekovu egzistenciju nego i za »smisao« spoznajnoga i znanstvenoga postupanja uopće.
In seinem Beitrag versucht der Verfasser, im Rahmen der philosophischen Systematik Bonifac Badrovs, des langjährigen Philosophie-Professors an der Franziskanische Theologischen Fakultät in Sarajevo, sein scholastisch-neuscholastisches Wahrheitsverständnis als adaequatio intellectus et rei, das ihm als der Leitfaden für seine Konzeption „Wissenschaftsphilosophie“, mit besonderer Berücksichtigung seiner Auffassung der „Begriffsbildung“. Dabei wird den Vorgang der Begriffsbildung durch die Definitionen als Bedeutungsbeschreibungen geschildert. Dadurch verliert der Begriff seine Verankerung in der unimittelbaren menschlichen Existenz, d.h. er wird weder als das Ergebnis des complicatio und explicatio Verhältnisses (N. Cusanus) noch als der Vollzug der Selbstgewinnung des Menschen in eigener Existenz verstanden (H.-G. Gadamer), weshalb die Frage nach dem „Sinn“ letztes Ende jede Bedeutung nicht nur für die Existenz des Menschen, sondern für den „Sinn“ des Erkenntnis- und Wissenschaftsverfahrens verliert.
U svojem prilogu autor razmatra filozofijsko-teologijsko shvaćanje istine hercegovačkog franjevca Vladimira Krune Pandžića (1912. – 1965.), koje on iznosi u svom članku naslovljenom »U duhu ...potpunosti« (Mostar, 1935.), s posebnim osvrtom na Heideggerov rani spis »Što je metafizika« (1931.). U prilogu se pokazuje kako Pandžić filozofiju shvaća ponajprije kao »filozofiju bića« u njegovoj »neskrivenosti«, čime u bitnom ostaje upravo u okviru onoga što Heidegger smatra »sudbinskom« odredbom cjelokupne zapadne metafizike: u okviru »pitanja o biću kao biću«. Iz Heideggerova spomenutog spisa autor pokazuje da Pandžiću nije stalo do pitanja o bitku i njegovu smislu, nego isključivo do »duha potpunosti«, u kojem se promatra »biće kao takvo« – onoga »duha potpunosti« kojeg je po njemu »uvelo« kršćanstvo.
In this article the author reflects on the philosophical-theological understanding of truth of Herzegovinian Friar Vladimir Kruno Pandžić (1912 – 1965), which he elaborates on in his article titled »U duhu potpunosti« (In the Spirit of Completeness) (Mostar, 1935) that deals with Heidegger's early work »What Is Metaphysics?« (1931). The current article shows that Pandžić understands philosophy primarily as »philosophy of being« in its »availability«, which puts him within the frame of what Heidegger considers to be the »destined« determination of the whole Western metaphysics: within the frame of the »issue of being as being«. On the basis of the aforementioned work of Heidegger, the author shows that Pandžić does not pay attention to the issue of being and its meaning, but exclusively to the issue of »spirit of completeness« in which he reflects on »being as such« – to that »spirit of completeness« that was, according to Pandžić, »introduced« by Christianity.

Obwohl sich Stjepan Zimmermann zeit seines Lebens mit der noetischen Problematik beschäftigt hat, versucht man in diesem Beitrag – ausgehend von seinem Werk Die Grundlagen der Philosophie (Temelji ...filozofije) aus dem Jahr 1934 – die Frage zu beantworten: Was Zimmermann unter der „Philosophie“ überhaupt versteht, welche „Fundamenten“, den „Sinn“ und die Tragweite sie überhaupt hat? Trotz seines Versuchs, die Philosophie „noetisch“ zu begründen, geht er über ihr scholastisch-neuscholastisches Verständnis als die „Theodizee“, als die Berechtigung Gottes in der Geschichte nicht hinüber, womit sich eher Philosophie, als Theologie beschäftigt.
BACKGROUND:The effects of antibiotic therapy on the course of postvenereal reactive arthritis have not yet been elucidated.
OBJECTIVE:The objective of this study was to observe the clinical course ...and outcome of synovectomy and 3 months of azithromycin therapy in patients with reactive arthritis and previously diagnosed triggering bacteria.
METHODS:We performed an open, prospective study on 20 (14 male/6 female) patients with postvenereal reactive knee arthritis, aged 36.7 ± 14.8 years, and with 16.5 ± 20.4 months’ duration of the disease. Detection of bacteria triggers was done by polymerase chain reaction, isolation and identification, and electron microscopy. Synovectomy was performed in all patients at entry into the study. Azithromycin was given at a dose of 500 mg per day for 5 days, and then 500 mg twice a week, during a 3-month period. Patients without remission were treated with combined antibiotic therapy using a macrolide, quinolone, and tetracycline for the next 4 months. Outcome evaluations of therapeutic efficacy and azithromycin safety were done after 1 and 3 months and 2 years of follow up.
RESULTS:Remission, defined by the absence of joint swelling and tenderness, and extraarticular signs, was reached after 3 months in 15 of 20 (75.0%) patients (P = 0.025). Of 5 patients with persistent knee arthritis, remission was achieved with combined antibiotic therapy in 4. Visual analog scale scores (P < 0.01), the number of patients (P = 0.002), and the number of samples (P = 0.01) with a positive finding of bacteria or their DNA were significantly lower after 3 months of therapy. During the azithromycin therapy, there were no significant adverse effects.
CONCLUSIONS:These patients with reactive arthritis did extremely well on the regimen described. In our study group, the number of patients and the number of samples with positive findings of bacteria or their DNA were lower after the antibiotic treatment combined with surgery, although not all bacteria were eradicated. Adverse effects of prolonged azithromycin administration were insignificant. This open treatment approach is recommended but does need a study with controls.
