There are few sartorial ensembles as heavily signified as masculine as a suit. This article focuses on the suit within queer fashion digital cultures and spaces to explore how butch of colour digital ...fashion suits up to offer us different ways to think about masculinity. Intervening in the erasure of women of colour in histories of fashion – including menswear – and histories of sexuality – butch, dapper, tomboy, dandy – I argue that butch digital fashion works as a site and composition of flesh, fabric and feeling that reworks masculinity as a project of embodiment. I look at three interwoven dimensions of butch digital fashion – aesthetic process, texture as feeling and spatial imaginations – attending to the themes of fantasy, desire and pleasure. I situate butch within and between fashion studies and media studies to offer butch as a relation, practice, orientation and site of embodiment to think about being and becoming, about the body politics of space and feeling, as matters of race, sexuality, class and gender – and the materialities of race, sexuality, class and gender, mediated by the global, and as the global by the digital. Digital butch fashion is, at once, a visual culture, a creative visual space, a resource of queer fantasy and an aesthetic process. It is messy, tense and fraught with the politics of race, colonialism and class, yet at the same time, dense with possibility, pleasure and eroticism. Butch of colour fashion offers frames and forms for rethinking and remaking masculinity as a sign of a body, as a category of personhood, as a set of practices and feelings made coherent by processes of embodiment.
Purpose: This study examined the relationship between role conflict and the performance of part-time students in Indonesia, with a focus on the effects of burnout, coping behavior, and spiritual ...intelligence. Research methodology: The study tested performance, academic performance, and work performance, with extreme work stress (burnout) positioned as the mediating factor, and coping and spiritual intelligence positioned as moderating variables. Results: This study found that role conflict negatively affects the academic and work performance of part-time students, and burnout mediates this relationship. Coping behavior and spiritual intelligence moderate the relationship between role conflict and performance. Limitations: Within the context of demographic factors, some authors, such as Waskito (2019), Kastaman and Coralia (2022), and Wardani and Pitensah (2021), suggest examining the effect of factors such as age and ethnic groups. Thus, in future studies, it is advisable to review the effects of demographic factors such as age, ethnicity, and income level. Contribution: This study contributes to the existing literature by providing a new perspective on the performance of part-time students and highlights the importance of considering role conflict and its effects on their performance.
The subject of this study is the corrosion processes that occur in the fuel tanks of spacecraft with a long service life, the engines of which operate on chemically aggressive fuel components (FC): ...nitrogen tetroxide (NT) and asymmetric dimethylhydrazine (NDMH). The goal is to determine the reduction of wire diameters and the increase of cell sizes of capillary phase separator grids (PSG) because of the corrosion effect of the main structural material of the 12X18H10T stainless steel grid. Task: establishing the presence, type, and rate of corrosion of the main structural material of the PSG nets. The methods used are as follows: to determine the presence of corrosion by studying the composition of substances found on the surface of the grids – X- ray fluorescence, X- ray structural, atomic absorption, potentiometric, turbodimetric, infrared spectroscopy, and chromato-mass spectrometry; to determine the type of corrosion-metallographic studies of mesh samples; to determine the rate of corrosion-measuring the geometric dimensions of mesh samples. The following results were obtained. The metal cations detected on the surface of the mesh samples correspond to the elements that make up the alloy of aluminum and steel - the main structural materials of the fuel tanks of launch vehicles; 12Х18Н10Т steel is not susceptible to local types of corrosion (pitting, intercrystalline, dot, contact, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking) in high-pressure and low-pressure tanks; the presence of a continuous (uniform) corrosion effect on the surface of the grid wires was established; dependences of changes in the main geometric parameters of the grids (wire diameters and cell sizes) over time were obtained, according to which the limits of the corrosion rates of stainless steel grade 12X18N10T in the liquid phase of NT and NDMG and in the gas phase were established; and coefficients of the maximum corrosion rate were calculated. Conclusions. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is as follows: for the first time, the presence, type, and rate of corrosion of the main structural material of the PSG grids because of their long-term operation (14...31 years) in the liquid phase of AT and NDMH and in the gas phase were determined using cross-methods.

The subject of this study is the process of loss of capillary holding capacity (CHC) as a result of a violation of the balance of external and internal forces on the phase interface (PI) "liquid - ...gas" of the capillary in the cell of the mesh phase separator (MPS) of the capillary means for ensuring the integrity of the fuel (CMEIF) with a long service life in chemically aggressive fuel components (FP): nitrogen tetroxide (NT) and asymmetric dimethylhydrazine (NDMH). The goal is to improve the selection of design parameters of the CMEIF through the refinement of traditional approaches to the calculation of the CHC MPS depending on the term of their operation. Task: to determine the rate of corrosion of the main structural material of the MPS - steel nets of the twill weave type, and its effect on the structural and geometric characteristics of the nets; to perform an experimental determination of the change in the MPS CHC; to improve the mathematical model for determining the MPS CHC, considering the term of their operation as part of the fuel system of space flight vehicles (SFV). The methods used are as follows: to determine the rate of corrosion - metallographic studies and measurement of the geometric dimensions of mesh samples; to determine the change in CHC - the bubble method. The following results were obtained. The coefficient of the maximum corrosion rate was determined. A new, refined dependence of the average value of Bo cr on the temperature of the FP was obtained. Linear regressions of changes in the approximated values of CHC MPS depending on the duration of their operation were obtained. An increase in the average arithmetic value of the wetting contact angle θ in the NDMG over 31 years of MPS operation was determined. An improved mathematical model for determining the CHC of MPS was obtained, considering the period of their operation in JSC and NDMH. Conclusions. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is as follows: for the first time, comprehensive studies were carried out to determine the rate of corrosion of the main structural material of MPS after a long period of their stay (from 14 to 31 years) in FP (NT and NDMG) and under their pairs, the results of which revealed regularities of flow corrosion processes in the liquid and gas phase, established corrosion rates and deduced coefficients, the application of which improves the engineering methods of calculating the main parameters of MPS; the physical model for calculating Bo kr received further development; the physical model for calculating the CHC has been improved, which makes it possible to calculate the value of the static CHC of the MPS with greater accuracy than it was before and to make the final design of the designed CMEIF more perfect and reliable.

Jordache Ellapen’s Queering the Archive: Brown Bodies in Ecstasy (2018) is a visual art project that explores erotics as an epistemological and methodological frame to think through race, diaspora, ...memory, history and desire in/of contemporary South Africa. I argue that Queering the Archive is invested in beauty as a project of sensuous memory, pleasure, movement and relation that works through and against geohistorical logics and conditions of race, diaspora and coloniality. Through a photo essay based on a close reading of the visual art, and a companion piece of an interview with the artist, I argue that Queering the Archive challenges our logics of the legacies of indentureship by centring those bodies who were used as labour and raw matter for global racial sexual capital. Ellapen re-imagines and re-images brown bodies as alive and beautiful in motion and in relation with erotic energy, playful desire and intimate joy. Ellapen crafts relations between colours, textures, forms and genres through mixed media practices, including layering and juxtaposing family photographs with staged photographs. These relations put the photographs in intimate tension and contradiction with one another as much as in beautiful, sensuous motion together, the edges of each highlighted as much as blurred through these relations. I read these relations as evocations and provocations of the histories and memories the photographs are dense with and made fragile by. These histories and memories include indentureship, colonialism and migration as structures and processes of power that shape intimate relations between peoples in South Africa. Ellapen’s focus in this project on different brown bodies in relation to one another through erotic feeling and touching is embedded within these histories and memories, but these erotics are not determined, bound or regulated by the colonial and imperial infrastructures of power. In Queering the Archive, hegemonic colonial and postcolonial aesthetic regimes are disrupted and the brown body becomes a brown body in desiring and joyful movement and relation, re-imagined and re-imaged as elegant, beautiful and sensual towards different futurities.
Pulmonary hypertension (PH) associated with parenchymal lung diseases is one of the most common forms of PH. Studies in patients with advanced COPD and hypoxemia have shown a very high prevalence of ...PH; however, prevalence in mild and moderate COPD is not known. Typical hemodynamic abnormalities include mild-to-moderate elevations in pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) and pulmonary vascular resistance with a preserved cardiac output. A small proportion (< 5%) of patients may have significant elevations in PAP (mean PAP > 35-40 mm Hg) in the presence of mild airflow limitation and are believed to have disproportionate PH. COPD-associated PH has significant clinical implications because it can produce functional limitation and has a negative impact on prognosis. Doppler echocardiography is the best noninvasive test, but noninvasive methods used for diagnosis are prone to error and cannot be relied on when making or refuting the diagnosis of PH. All patients require right-sided heart catheterization if treatment with PH-specific medications is contemplated. The most important steps in managing these patients are: (1) confirm the diagnosis; (2) optimize COPD management; (3) rule out comorbidities; (4) assess and treat hypoxemia; and (5) enroll the patient in pulmonary rehabilitation, if indicated. In patients with PH and advanced airflow limitation, lung transplantation offers the best opportunity for long-term benefit. The role of PH-specific medications remains poorly defined and requires further study but may be considered in patients with disproportionate PH.
The discovery of place cells and other spatially modulated neurons in the hippocampal complex of rodents has been crucial to elucidating the neural basis of spatial cognition. More recently, the ...replay of neural sequences encoding previously experienced trajectories has been observed during consummatory behavior—potentially with implications for rapid learning, quick memory consolidation, and behavioral planning. Several promising models for robotic navigation and reinforcement learning have been proposed based on these and previous findings. Most of these models, however, use carefully engineered neural networks, and sometimes require long learning periods. In this paper, we present a self-organizing model incorporating place cells and replay, and demonstrate its utility for rapid one-shot learning in non-trivial environments with obstacles.
This study analyzes the manner in which undergraduate students learn International Humanitarian Law (IHL) through the war video game 'Arma 3' by means of the grounded theory approach and considers ...the effect of learning IHL through video games. As a result of data analysis, "identifying the targets of attacks" emerges as a core concept on the phenomenon of learning IHL through video games in addition to eight sub-concepts encircling this core concept. Sorting out the relevance among these concepts, the present study discovers six patterns to explicate the phenomenon, which are as follows: (A) smooth IHL learning with the use of knowledge already acquired; (B) committing illegal acts as virtual reality; (C) disregarding the instructors' lectures and committing illegal acts; (D) learning IHL norms on the basis of lectures by the instructors; (E) discovery of IHL norms during gameplay; and (F) trajectory modification from illegal acts. By inter-comparing these six patterns, the author isolated four distinct operations that are central to IHL application learning through war games, which include 1) paying attention to lectures by the instructors; 2) working on elements for identifying the targets of attacks; 3) imagining real fighting conditions and feeling empathy for real combatants; and 4) paying attention to admonitions after illegal acts. Accordingly, so as to achieve further improvement of the effect of IHL learning through war video games, it can be contended that adopting contrivances that enable players to pass through these four operations is extremely important.
