The hypothesis of this paper is based on an examination of the relationship between Christology and eschatology with soteriology, and through the analysis of their selected core concepts, it seeks to ...contextualize the discourse on salvation within a contemporary framework. Specifically, the study explores the terms of hope, faith, freedom, and bodily resurrection, which provide a framework for a modern approach to soteriological reality. The selected terms, when considered together, demonstrate their suitability in connecting the experiences of the contemporary individual, their existential position, and perspectives on salvation, while also drawing on rich theological traditions and Catholic doctrine. The initial research question that stemmed from the interconnection of the two treatises (Christology and eschatology) with soteriology has provided us with significant insights into various possibilities for the contemporary understanding of salvation.
Članak istražuje pojam proegzistencije, poglavito kroz prizmu novozavjetnih svjedočanstava o Isusovu životu i djelovanju, te hyper (ὑπὲρ) formula.
This paper addresses the topic of the pro-existence of Jesus Christ, especially through New Testament’s records about Jesus’ life and work, and hyper (ὑπὲρ) formulas. Pro-existence is understood as an essential trait of his person, which is evident throughout various mysteries of his historical life (especially in Incarnation, kenosis, death on the cross, and later in resurrection) in which the aspect of serving is recognized as relevant content of pro-existence. The paper further points to the main source and direction of Jesus’ pro-existence, which is God the Father. Hence the source of pro-existence is Trinitarian and is not comprehended only in humanistic sense, but first and foremost as ontological and theological one. The category of pro-existence sought to renew the connection between Christology and Soteriology. This is evident from the New Testament’s use of hyper formulas, as we have shown in chosen examples. Finally, the paper aims to connect Christ’s pro-existence with a concrete vocation everyone is called to live by and respond to, reflecting His pro-existent image in us.

The paper explores the problem of death as a central issue of every eschatology, including the Catholic one. Death as a phenomenon and anthropological fact shapes the beginnings of the Old Testament’ ...Eschatology, sharpening its statement in the New Testament’ theology crucis. During the history of theology, the theology of death remained within the frame of its interpretation as a consequence of sin and unwanted fate, whereby its positive connection to freedom was left out. Only thanks to some of the contemporary approaches that place death in direct relation to freedom (Moltmann, Rahner, Boros), observing it as a conscious act of an individual, both death and freedom, although at first opposed, become the categories that, theologically observed, transform themselves. In conclusion, the paper attempts to answer the question regarding freedom to die, in the light of some contemporary eschatological debates, and to place the awareness of death in the context of freedom and life, and not as their opposition.
The paper researches the complex relation between Eschatology and Politics from the theological point of view by revealing their mutual points, and along with that aims to present the eschatological implications that are being put to Politics. The intention of this paper is to represent the Politics as interest field of Eschatology and also Eschatology as its critical corrective by warning to the risks and possibilities its relationship has to offer.
Aside to notional explanations the paper firstly emphasizes the characteristic Old testament experience from historical events that were interpreted in the eschatological key, especially with the role of the prophets. New testament Eschatology is focused here on Jesus’ relation to political life. Finally, the paper reflects the (im)possibility to speak of the eschatological implications to Politics in some concrete social issues, especially as a notion for political action that must nourish the relation towards past and correctly embed it to the future.

The aim of this paper is to outline the development of the “just war theory” in the Christian tradition, especially in Catholic philosophical and theological thought. Special emphasis will be on the ...classic authors, like Augustine and Thomas Aquinas, who outlined basic coordinates of the “just war theory”. This article is also exploring “just war theory” in the context of the most relevant documents of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church (Catechism of the Catholic Church, documents of the Second Vatican Council and various documents related to Catholic social teaching).
iskaz u novozavjetnoj teologiji crucis.

The article attempts to examine the basic preferences of Tillich’s thoughts about language in the context of symbolical speech that has it repercussion on theology, i. e. possible thoughts about ...religious language. The religious language according to Tillich is holy in its versatile expressions, because it mediates the ultimate concern. But, although the language is able to embrace the space of holy and to speak of Holy itself, Tillich notifies that language could not control and overtake the holy because it is just its mediator. Therefore, his fundamental thesis is that everything we say about God, we do so symbolically.
