This study investigates teachers’ ability to formulate questions to understand English passages after they had participated in a self-questioning workshop, and what they learnt from the workshop. ...Three secondary English teachers were involved in the self- questioning workshop in a specific context in Indonesia. The workshop was completed in three sessions comprised of three phases: the priorworkshop assessment, the workshop, and post-workshop assessment. These activities were video, and audio recorded. A case study research design was employed. Data were gathered from generated questions, interviews, observations, and reflective journals during the workshop. The findings reveal that the type of generated questions improved after the workshop, shifting from questions with explicit answers to better questions that require inferences and implicit answers. The teachers perceived the questioning workshop to be beneficial for learning, reflection, and improvement of their teaching. They were able to recognize the importance of high-quality questions, reflect on their teaching practices, and learn practical knowledge including anticipation of challenges they might encounter to implement the workshop for their students. The findings also underline the importance of a supportive environment, such as creating an informal atmosphere and encouraging discussion, as necessary to allow the teachers to fully engage in the workshop. This research was conducted to determine the effect of physical properties on elephant cassava derivative products as a thickener for tamarind paste. This study used a non-factorial completely ...randomized design (CRD) with 2 treatments, namely types of thickener (modified starch and mocaf) at 5 different concentrations (0%, 1%, 3%, 5%, and 10%) with 3 repetitions. The addition of 10% elephant cassava mocaf flour had the highest value based on the viscosity test with a value of 5624 mPas, in the 10% solubility test the addition of modified starch has a value of 90.47%, the speed with heating at 80℃ ranges from 45-66 seconds and the organoleptic test for taste attributes is 2.04- 2.48.

The purpose of writing this article is to determine the impact of terrorism on children and adolescents who live in the area of terror. The method used is the method of systematic literature review ...(SLR). SLR is a method that identifies, evaluates, and interprets findings on a research topic to answer a predetermined research question. From planning, conducting and reporting it can be concluded that terrorism has had a traumatic impact on many people, especially children and adolescents. The impact of terrorism can be experienced by children and adolescents in those who live at the scene of terror and children and adolescents of families of terrorists who experience negative stigma from the community as a family of terrorists. Children and adolescents affected by terrorism experience crucial problems to be able to rise up and undergo their psychological development naturally and without the pressure of trauma so that they need certain counseling so that they get up and are optimistic about their life's journey and the next stages of development. The recommendation of this study is the need for counseling to take on the role of strategy as an effort to build positive attitudes of children in facing the next stage of life so that they can undergo and realize career development positively as is usual for children and other adolescents who are not affected by terrorism. Moreover, learning from many countries, the government as a state representative must continue to be encouraged to care and dare to build a strong willingness to form institutions and regulatory frameworks for counseling services in many fields for increasingly diverse needs, especially the handling and prevention of trauma from the impact of terrorism.
This study aims (1) to identify and analyze students' attentiveness levels of learning before getting a behavioral approach using token economy techniques, (2) identifying and analyzing learning ...attentions when getting behavioral approaches using token economy techniques, and (3) analyzing the effectiveness of behavior approaches using token economy techniques in increasing student attention in class VIII at SMP N 29 Semarang. This review of the literature aims to explain why Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) is appropriate as an approach in helping individuals achieve resilience, after experiencing certain ...traumatic events. This study was motivated by the need for a conceptual explanation of what approaches can be recommended so that recovery of post-traumatic psychological conditions and the achievement of resilience can be carried out with more efficient and effective processes. The method used in this study was comparative analysis, involving a variety of relevant literature to identify alignment concepts between SFBC and resilience. The intended literature includes reference books, reputable scientific journal articles, and various information from credible sources. The results of the study show that there are points of similarity in the two theories, both in terms of basic assumptions and concepts related to the intervention process which confirms the relevance and accuracy of the use of SFBC in helping individuals achieve post-traumatic resilience. This study can then be used as a scientific foothold for the application of SFBC in an effort to increase individual resilience in various contexts.
Background:
Nigella sativa
or Habbatus Sauda is known to have beneficial effect to reduce blood pressure and other cardiovascular markers. But antihypertensive effect of
N. sativa
in hypertensive ...population remains controversial.
Objective:
We aim to assess the latest evidence of antihypertensive effect of
N. sativa
in patients with cardiometabolic risk factors.
Method:
A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted according to the PRISMA statement. We systematically searched relevant studies in Pubmed, Cochrane, and Scopus from the date of inception until January 2022. Outcomes of interest were reduction of systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and heart rate.
Results:
A total of 974 patients from 13 randomized controlled trials were included. Mean duration of treatment was 7.15 weeks. Pooled analysis showed that
N. sativa
supplementation significantly reduce both SBP (MD -3.93 -5.72, -2.14, p<0.0001; I
2
: 39%, p=0.07) and DBP (MD -3.26 -4.76, -1.75, p<0.0001; I
2
: 54%, p=0.01) compared to placebo group. Subgroup analysis showed that BP was reduced significantly in both hypertensive and non-hypertensive group, although non-hypertensive group had greater SBP and DBP reduction. NS powder showed greater SBP reduction compared to NS oil (MD -5.22 vs -2.77). Heart rate was also significantly reduced in NS group (MD -2.25 -2.25, -0.54, p<0.001; I
2
: 0%, p=0.86).
Conclusion:
This meta-analysis suggests short-term treatment with
N. sativa
is associated with significant reduction of SBP, DBP, and heart rate in hypertensive and non-hypertensive patients with cardiometabolic risk factors. Future trials are needed to strengthen the evidence of long-term antihypertensive effect of
N. sativa
