The present study is based on a qualitative approach and grounded method theory. The research tool was based on interview with 22 members of the Rafsanjan Pistachio Producers Cooperative, and was conducted in three criteria of open (initial), core and selective. Open code includes 34 concepts and core code includes 4 major categories, including cost reduction, product quality enhancement, innovation and continuous improvement. Agricultural development was identified as the central criterion of the present study. In order to understand the experiences of growers in their own language, semi-structured interviews were conducted to provide solutions to develop pistachio agriculture and create a competitive situation. Thus, the interviews begin with general questions and are followed by the solutions of each grower. The interview questions are designed to transfer technical knowledge of the interviewees and achieve solutions in order to benefit from knowledge management in the development of pistachio agriculture in Iran. The findings of this study helps the presentation of strategies to develop agriculture and maintain the position of Iranian pistachio growers in competitive markets that will lead to greater profits. According to our research, establishing a powerful cooperative system could satisfy growers’ requirements and will lead to an expansion of agriculture in Iran. Additionally, our system could result into establish a more proactive farming society using knowledge management.
Using mixed methods research design, the current study has analyzed Iranian researchers' information searching behaviour on the Web.Then based on extracted concepts, the model of their information ...searching behavior was revealed. . Forty-four participants, including academic staff from universities and research centers were recruited for this study selected by purposive sampling. Data were gathered from questionnairs including ten questions and semi-structured interview. Each participant's memos were analyzed using grounded theory methods adapted from Strauss & Corbin (1998). Results showed that the main objectives of subjects were doing a research, writing a paper, studying, doing assignments, downloading files and acquiring public information in using Web. The most important of learning about how to search and retrieve information were trial and error and get help from friends among the subjects. Information resources are identified by searching in information resources (e.g. search engines, references in papers, and search in Online database...) communications facilities & tools (e.g. contact with colleagues, seminars & workshops, social networking...), and information services (e.g. RSS, Alerting, and SDI). Also, Findings indicated that searching by search engines, reviewing references, searching in online databases, and contact with colleagues and studying last issue of the electronic journals were the most important for searching. The most important strategies were using search engines and scientific tools such as Google Scholar. In addition, utilizing from simple (Quick) search method was the most common among subjects. Using of topic, keywords, title of paper were most important of elements for retrieval information. Analysis of interview showed that there were nine stages in researchers' information searching behaviour: topic selection, initiating search, formulating search query, information retrieval, access to information, information evaluation, information selection, information management, and stop/ continue. These stages located in greater four categories: search initiation behaviors, formulating search queries, search navigational behaviors, and information processing behaviors. The study contributes to the theoretical basis of Web search research. It also raises various questions within the context of user studies.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to design a conceptual model for the application of semantic-social technology in digital libraries in Iran. Methodology: This applied research was conducted ...using Delphi and analytical survey methods. The tool used was a researcher-made questionnaire, which included three parts: the structure of semantic-social technology architecture, semantic-social technology tools, and the function of semantic-social technology. Descriptive statistics, structural equation modeling and partial least squares modeling (PLS-SEM) were used to analyze the statistical data. Findings: In the final research model, most items had a high factor loading and in the main components of the research, including the architecture structure of semantic-social technology, tools of semantic-social technology and the function of semantic-social technology, important items from the perspective of the research community were identified. Accordingly, in the architectural structure of semantic-social technology, the use of RDF schema to describe and describe RDF-based resources, the use of SIOC technology to link blogs, forums and mailing lists had the highest factor loading. Also, in the part of semantic-social technology tools, in the final conceptual model research, video mashups and map mashups had a higher factor loading than others. In the functional part of semantic-social technology, using the URL standard to identify and locate a resource in digital libraries and retrieval function, using RDF tools and using Sub and Super techniques between concepts to retrieve information faster has the highest factor loading. Moreover, in the parts of data and resources and content, the use of RDF tools to exploit multimedia and non-textual resources due to the diversity of available information and in the function of organization and storage, the use of ontology to manage digital resources had higher factor loading. In addition, in the interaction function, the items of communication between the chain of information producers, collectors and users through social semantic web tools had the highest amount of factor loading. Concusion: Considering the results obtained in the proposed model of this research and the items that have gained a high factor loading in the proposed conceptual model, shows that in semantic-social technology in digital library software, what makes this technology progress and success is the correct creation of digital library software. The basis of digital library standards, attention to the XML markup language, Dublin Core, etc. and its integration with semantic tools such as Web 2.0, hashtags and folksonomy, metadata, etc. in line with social technologies such as social networks, mashups, etc.
