Abstract
Background
Pediatric central nervous system (CNS) infections are potentially life-threatening and may incur significant morbidity. Identifying a pathogen is important, both in terms of ...guiding therapeutic management and in characterizing prognosis. Usual care testing by culture and polymerase chain reaction is often unable to identify a pathogen. We examined the systematic application of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) for detecting organisms and transcriptomic analysis of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in children with central nervous system (CNS) infections.
Methods
We conducted a prospective multisite study that aimed to enroll all children with a CSF pleocytosis and suspected CNS infection admitted to 1 of 3 tertiary pediatric hospitals during the study timeframe. After usual care testing had been performed, the remaining CSF was sent for mNGS and transcriptomic analysis.
Results
We screened 221 and enrolled 70 subjects over a 12-month recruitment period. A putative organism was isolated from CSF in 25 (35.7%) subjects by any diagnostic modality. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing of the CSF samples identified a pathogen in 20 (28.6%) subjects, which were also all identified by usual care testing. The median time to result was 38 hours.
Conclusions
Metagenomic sequencing of CSF has the potential to rapidly identify pathogens in children with CNS infections.

This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE development model developed by Dick and Carry (1996) with 5 (five) stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques through media expert validator sheets, material experts, and student questionnaire sheets. Based on the results of the study, after being validated by validators from 2 teams of experts, namely media experts at 96% and material experts at 100%, which means that Likurdin learning media is "very effective" to be developed. Student responses to Likurdin learning media also obtained "very interesting" criteria with a percentage of 93%.Sejarah kebudayaan Islam merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang dianggap membosankan. Penggunaan media pembelajaran dapat menjadi alternative dalam membantu proses pembelajaran untuk lebih menyenangkan. Tujuan pengembangan media ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran pada materi Sejarah Khulafaurrasyidin dan untuk mengetahui keefektifan media Likurdin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D (Research and Developmen) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang dikembangkan oleh Dick and Carry (1996) dengan 5 (lima) tahap, yaitu analisis (analysis), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Teknik pengumpulann data melalui lembar validator ahli media dan ahli materi, serta lembar angket peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, setelah divalidasi oleh validator dari 2 tim ahli yaitu ahli media sebesar 96% dan ahli materi sebesar 100% yang berarti bahwa media pembelajaran Likurdin “sangat efektif” untuk dikembangkan. Respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran Likurdin juga diperoleh kriteria “sangat menarik” dengan persentase sebesar 93%.

The data collection method is carried out by direct observation and using the qualitative method. The conclusion of this study is the improvement in the new Business Model Canvas, especially in the customer segment elements by adding plantations as a new segment and beef cattle commodities as an improvement to existing segments so that the company's targets are met, improvements in these elements need to be supported by improvements in other elements. namely reactivating individual investors as additional corporate financial key resources, additional types of loan facilities to increase the value proposition, and optimizing the use of technology in customer relationship elements and key activities so that additional consumer segments are followed by maximum service and efficient key activities.
Clay soil has cohesive properties which cause the soil to be hard when dry and plastic when wet, which can cause damage to the construction of the building above it. One method of improving unstable ...soil is soil stabilization using additives. In this study, the mixed materials used were waste materials, namely rice husk ash, coconut shell ash, and sawdust ash with a proportion of 2%, 5%, and 8% respectively. Each of these materials is added with 5% sea shell powder as a substitute for lime. Soil sampling was carried out at the location of Koto Baru Nan XX Village, Padang City. The method used is the observation method, which is testing the physical and mechanical properties of the soil in the laboratory. The results showed that the value of the plasticity index was reduced the most by mixing coconut shell ash and sea shell powder to 87%.The optimum water content and dry unit weight of soil with added materials decreased during the compaction test. The optimum moisture content and dry unit weight dropped sharply when sawdust ash and shell powder were mixed by 57% and 9%, respectively, when viewed from their average values. Then followed by a mixture of coconut shell ash and sea shell powder of 47% and 15%. And the smallest decrease occurred in a mixture of rice husk ash and sea shell powder at 31% and 11%. The level of soil sensitivity is reduced the most in a mixture of sawdust ash and sea shell powder by 50% and continue by a mixture of coconut shell ash and sea shell powder by 43% and a mixture of rice husk ash and sea shell powder by 24%.
This research aims to investigate the influence of the project-based learning instructional model on students' science literacy skills and self-efficacy in rectilinear motion kinematics at SMA Negeri ...1 Lhokseumawe. The research design employed is a quasi-experiment in the form of a Nonequivalent (Pretest And Posttest) Control Group Design. The study population consists of ten classes of eleventh-grade IPAS students at SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with XI IPAS 1 (36 students) selected as the experimental class using the PjBL learning model and XI IPAS 4 (36 students) as the control class using the direct instruction learning model. Data collection is conducted through a 10-item essay test and a non-test questionnaire on student self-efficacy comprising 20 statements. Data analysis utilizes the Manova test. This research indicates that the PjBL learning model impacts science literacy skills based on the Manova test results, which show 0.000 < 0.05, signifying a significant influence on the average science literacy skills. The PjBL learning model also influences self-efficacy according to the Manova test results, which demonstrate 0.004 < 0.05, indicating a significant impact on the average self-efficacy. Furthermore, the PjBL learning model affects science literacy skills and self-efficacy, as evidenced by the important results of the Manova test, 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Based on this, it can be inferred that the PjBL learning model influences the science literacy skills and self-efficacy of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe.Keywords: Project-Based Learning Model, Science Literacy Skills, Self-Efficacy
Pembangunan jalan secara umum menggunakan pekerasan kaku dan pekerasan lentur yang kedap air menyebabkan berkurangnya daerah resapan air. Oleh sebab itu, dengan adanya pori-pori pada beton, maka ...dapat digunakan untuk menyerap limpasan permukaan. Berdasarkan dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, Fly Ash terbukti dapat meningkatkan kekuatan dari beton. Maka salah satu cara agar material hasil produksi sampingan tersebut tidak mencemarkan lingkungan adalah dengan menggunakan material tersebut sebagai bahan penambah sebagian semen. Penelitian ini bertujuan Penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui nilai permeabilitas, porositas serta kuat tekan beton porous dan komposisi maksimum dan minimum yang dihasilkan pada Campuran Fly Ash Dengan Varasi 0% 15%,25%, dan 35%. Dengan menggunakan metode dari 1 American Concrete Institute 522 R-10. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa variasi Fly Ash 25% merupakan hasil yang optimum dimana hasil kuat tekan sebesar 10,333 MPa, porositas Campuran Fly Ash Minimum sebesar 29.3%, dan permeabilitas Maksimum Campuran 0% sebesar 0.70cm/det. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan pada variasi 0%, nilai kuat tekannya 9,483 MPa, porositasnya 36.1%, permeabilitasnya 0,70.cm/det, hasil variasi Fly Ash 15% nilai kuat tekannya 8.776 MPa, porositasnya 29.3%, permeabilitasnya 0.64 cm/det hasil variasi Fly Ash 25% nilai kuat tekannya 10,333 MPa, porositasnya 31.2%, permeabilitasnya 0.66 cm/det. dan nilai variasi Fly Ash 35% nilai kuat tekannya 9,766 MPa, porositasnya 33.2%, permeabilitasnya 0.68 cm/det.

Luwu Timur merupakan daerah produsen lada terbesar di provinsi sulawesi selatan. Dalam pengolahanlada, khususnya lada putih akan menghasilkan limbah berupa ampas kulit lada putih dari hasil rendaman ...selama 1minggu yang dapat mencemari lingkungan sekitar karena memiliki bau yang tidak sedap. Tujuan dari penelitianini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penambahan EM4 pada pengomposan ampas kulit lada putih (Piper nigrum, L)terhadap kandungan NPK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan AcakLengkap (RAL) yaitu EM4 sebanyak 0 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml, 20 ml dan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Variasi EM4tersebut diaplikasikan ke dalam ampas kulit lada putih yang kering dengan bantuan air yang dipercik sampaimerata dan larutan gula sebanyak 10.5 ml untuk dijadikan pupuk kompos. Pengomposan dilakukan selama 28 haridan mengamati fisik kompos yaitu suhu, warna, tekstur dan bau. Data yang diperoleh dari pengujian dianalisisstatistik menggunakan uji ANOVA (One way Anova) dan dilanjutkan uji BNT ( Beda Nyata Terkecil). Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasar anova α 5% membuktikan bahwa EM4 berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadarkalium kompos ampas kulit lada putih (Piper nigrum, L). Uji BNT α 5% menunjukkan bahwa volume EM4sebanyak 5 ml merupakan perlakuan terbaik karena lebih efisien dari volume EM4 yang lain dengan hasil yangtidak berbeda nyata dengan volume EM4 sebanyak 10 ml dan 20 ml.
