Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a common chronic disease of the upper gastrointestinal tract with long course of the disease and followed by different symptoms significantly reducing ...quality of life (QoL) in pts. Assessment of QoL in pts with GERD may be of value for comprehensive evaluation of treatment effect as well as for monitoring of pts during treatment course in a real clinical practice.
Development of the Russian version of GERD-HRQL questionnaire to assess symptomatic outcomes of GERD in research and real clinical practice.
GERD-HRQL questionnaire (V. Velanovich, USA) consists of 11 items: 10 items for assessment of the most frequent symptoms/problems related with QoL in pts with GERD and 1 item for assessment of patient-reported global satisfaction with health condition.
In accordance with international guidelines, the new language version of the tool may be used in research and clinical practice after cross cultural adaptation, linguistic validation and psychometric testing. This paper presents the results of cross-cultural adaptation and linguistic validation of the Russian version of GERD-HRQL. The following steps of linguistic and cultural adaptation of GERD-HRQL for Russia were conducted after the permission from the author of GERD-HRQL was obtained: forward translation with creation of two forward translations of GERD-HRQL in Russian, reconciliation and expert evaluation of translations of GERD-HRQL in Russian and creation of the preliminary version of GERD-HRQL in Russian, back translation, harmonization, creation of the first test-version of GERD-HRQL in Russian, cognitive debriefing and decentering, creation of the second test-version of GERD-HRQL in Russian, final expert evaluation and development of the final test-version of GERD-HRQL in Russian. Satisfactory face validity of the Russian test-version of GERD-HRQL was shown: face validity indices were 0.98, 0.95, 0.92, and 0.97.
As the result of translation, cross cultural adaptation and linguistic validation, the Russian version of GERD-HRQL for the use in pts with GERD in Russia was developed. The Russian version of GERD-HRQL may be used in research studies and clinical practice after testing its psychometric properties.
The 3p26.3 microduplication involving the CNTN6 gene cause developmental delay and the intellectual disability. However, the incomplete penetrance is described for this copy number variation (CNV). ...Here we describe ICAGi002-A line, which is supposed to use as a model for studying of the penetrance of the CNV in 3p26.3. The ICAGi002-A iPSCs line was obtained by the reprogramming of the skin fibroblasts from a healthy donor with 3p26.3 microduplication involving the CNTN6 gene. The ICAGi002-A cells was pluripotent as it was shown by the expression of the pluripotency-associated markers and in vitro differentiation into the cells of three germ layers.
Vaccinal prophylaxis is the most effective way to reduce incidence rates. However, the immune response developing after injection of most inactivated vaccines is insufficient when used without ...adjuvants. Special attention should be paid to the issue of immunoprophylaxis of high-risk patients with impaired immune status. Use of appropriate adjuvants during vaccination can optimize development of protective immunity in immunocompromised patients. Cytokines that regulate

immune-response cascades to any antigenic stimulus and influence the development of an antigen-specific immune response can be considered as potential immunoadjuvants. The present review analyzes briefly studies of the immunoadjuvant properties of cytokines used to increase the effectiveness of regularly scheduled vaccines and those used for epidemic indications.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a hereditary disease that leads to impaired functioning of chloride channels in cells, and, as a result, to a decrease in the viscoelastic properties of the secretion of all ...exocrine glands. Cystic fibrosis is the result of mutations in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (
CFTR
) gene, which encodes the CFTR protein. In this study, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) were obtained from the skin fibroblasts of a patient with a homozygous mutation F508del
CFTR
(NM_000492.3(CFTR):c.1521_1523del). This deletion is the most common for cystic fibrosis. The resulting iPSC line had a normal karyotype, retained the original genotype, and also demonstrated the presence of pluripotency markers (OCT4, SOX2, NANOG, SSEA4, TRA-1-60) and the ability to differentiate into derivatives of three germ layers.
This study aimed to test the Russian version of GERD-HRQL in the focus group of patients with GERD, as well as to evaluate its psychometric properties reliability, validity and sensitivity.
The total ...of 57 patients with GERD (mean age 45.812.4 years, 72% women, 68% patients with not erosive reflux disease, 84% had esophageal manifestations of GERD) were enrolled into the study. All the patients filled out the Russian version of GERD-HRQL and generic quality of life questionnaire RAND SF-36 during the routine visit to the gastroenterologist. According to the results of testing of GERD-HRQL, it was clear and easy to complete for patients and reflected the main concerns specific for GERD patients. The most frequent and bothersome symptoms/problems which interfered with quality of life in GERD patients were heartburn (100% of patients) and bloating (84% of patients). During the validation procedure, the high reliability and validity of the Russian version of GERD-HRQL were demonstrated. It was shown that the tool was sensitive both to changes over time and to clinically determined differences in patients status.
The Total GERD-HRQL Score was significantly higher (worse quality of life) in the following groups: a) patients who had esophageal manifestations of GERB vs those without esophageal manifestations of GERB; b) patients with GERD complications vs those without GERD complications, c) patients with comorbidities of upper gastrointestinal tract vs without those comorbidities; d) patients with erosive esophagitis vs with non-erosive reflux disease (p0.05).
The developed Russian version of the GERD-HRQL questionnaire proved to have high psychometric properties and may be used in the Russian population of GERD patients both in research studies and in a real clinical practice.
The human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines, ICGi009-A, ICGi009-B, ICGi013-A and ICGi013-B, were generated from skin fibroblasts of two siblings with intellectual disability. Both patients ...were carriers of CNTN6 gene microdeletion (Kashevarova et al., 2014). iPSC lines have normal karyotype, express pluripotency markers, are able to differentiate in vitro into derivatives of all three germ layers and represent a unique tool to study neurodevelopmental disorders.
Aim. Improving of accuracy parameters and reducing of sensitivity to changes of plant parameters for nonlinear robust tank main armament guidance and stabilization electromechanical systems based on ...synchronous motor with permanent magnets and vector control. Methodology. The method of multiobjective synthesis of nonlinear robust control by nonlinear tank main armament stabilization electromechanical system taking into account the elastic oscillations of the tank gun barrel as a discrete-continuous plant and with parametric uncertainty based on the multiobjective optimization. The target vector of robust control choice by solving the corresponding multicriterion nonlinear programming problem in which the calculation of the vectors of the objective function and constraints is algorithmic and associated with synthesis of nonlinear robust controllers and modeling of the synthesized system for various modes of operation of the system, with different input signals and for various values of the plant parameters. Synthesis of nonlinear robust controllers and non-linear robust observers reduces to solving the system of Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaacs equations. Results. The results of the synthesis of a nonlinear robust tank main armament guidance and stabilization electromechanical systems are presented. Comparison of the dynamic characteristics of the synthesized tank main armament stabilization electromechanical systems showed that the use of synthesized nonlinear robust controllers allowed to improve the accuracy parameters and reduce the sensitivity of the system to changes of plant parameters in comparison with the existing system. Originality. For the first time carried out the multiobjective synthesis of nonlinear robust tank main armament stabilization electromechanical systems. Practical value. Practical recommendations are given on reasonable choice of the gain matrix for the nonlinear feedbacks of the regulator and the nonlinear observer of the tank main armament stabilization electromechanical systems, which allows improving the dynamic characteristics and reducing the sensitivity of the system to plant parameters changing in comparison with the existing system. Modern structural analysis standards for wooden and glued laminated building structures of civil and industrial buildings, bridges, electric power facilities, communications, etc., on the one hand, ...have differences, and on the other hand, general design principles (SP). However, the design resistances values are given only for the force vector acting along and across the fibers. The designer has to get the intermediate design resistances values according to the formulas of the 30s, very approximately, and sometimes incorrectly. For example, for cross laminated timber (CLT). Based on previously performed experimental researches and the results of calculations, general patterns of the resistance to local crushing changes were obtained for samples taken from glued laminated timber structures elements (glulam). General approaches have been developed to assess the strength of glulam (σcr,a) and its design resistances to local crushing (Rcr,a) with varying static geometrical parameters of the hard stamp (ψ = d/l) depending on the external forces vector direction with respect to the wood fibers - lamellas (α). All this makes the research present-day and focused on improving reference documents.
