Fourty five weed species belonging, by taxonomy, to 19 families were found in maize agrophytocoenosis. Monocotyledonous (narrow-leaved) weeds are represented by 1 family (Poaceae) and 5 species and ...dicotyledonous (broad-leaved) ones with 40 species and 18 families. The most numerous species were: Echinochloa crus-galli, Setaria glauca, Amaranthus retroflexus, Chenopodium album and Convolvulus arvensis. Regarding biological form, therophytes were the most numerous, with a very high percentage: 68.88% and this led to the conclusion that this coenosis has a therophytic character.
The study carried out with MCPP+3,6-D (preparation Lontrel 418 C), MCPP (preparation Morogal) and 2,4-D+MCPA (preparation Monosan S). The influence of herbicides on 1000-grain weight was not ...established in the 1st year of study. In the 2nd year 2,4-D+MCPA showed influence on 1000-grain weight which resulted in high significant increase comparing to the control. Variations of 1000-grain weight as a consequence of application of different rates of herbicides were not found. In the 2nd year of study the dependence between herbicide effect on the mass of 1000 grains and development stage of wheat was proved. The application of MCPP and 2,4-D+MCPA in the 1st year of study, as well as application of MCPP+3,6-D and 2,4-D+MCPA in the 2nd year, caused high significant increase of hectoliter mass of wheat comparing to control. Double amount of MCPP+3,6-D applied in the 1st investigation year caused high significant decrease of hectoliter mass, in relation to the application of recommended quantities. Influence of application time of herbicides on hectoliter mass was not established.
