Często silny bodziec o charakterze finansowym prowokuje polskich uczniów do szybszej, bardziej zdeterminowanej, chociaż czasem – powierzchownie podjętej deklaracji gotowości do określonych zachowań przedsiębiorczych.
The article attempts to assess the state and directions of development of tourist services in the area of the Szczecin Landscape Park Puszcza Bukowa (SLP PB) and the directions of their development. ...The article presents the preliminary results of surveys conducted in 2019 using the PAPI method in the SLP PB area as part of the international REGE project. The survey involved 311 respondents visiting the SLP PB area. The main motivation for the visit (86%) of the respondents in SLP PB is leisure and recreation, and visitors spend time primarily on walking (49%) and cycling (25%). The vast majority of respondents (79%) are aware that the area they are in is protected. At the same time, only 56% of all respondents correctly defined the form of protection of the studied area as a landscape park, which indicates the need for further educational activities. Although the spontaneous associations of the respondents focused on the natural values of this area, the questions about the advantages and disadvantages of the response area concerned primarily tourist infrastructure, services provided or lack thereof. The respondents pointed primarily to service deficits in the area under study in the scope of: guided tours (23%), events (20%) and lack of tourist information points (15%).
The aim of the present paper is to show the impact of the diversity of social capital of the international sailing environment on the development of tourist services around the Szczecin Lagoon and ...Dąbie Lake. The target group are Polish and German participants in nautical tourism in the cross-border research area. Materials for the article were collected during field studies conducted in 2009–2012. The questionnaire method was mainly used to obtain information. The paper uses elements of social capital for the purpose of creating the image of the place and promotional activities of the region. The sources of capital were: motivations for sailing, additional leisure time activities, form of sailing activity, individual choice of a place of rest as well as the most frequently chosen domestic and international destinations, as well as personal data like gender, age and nationality of respondents. Understanding capital as a resource allowed it to be used for the development of the research area. The analysis of the research results allowed to specify one characteristic which was positively evaluated by two groups of respondents and these are landscape conditions of the Szczecin Lagoon. Contact with nature turned out to be the most important motivation for sailing. On the other hand, the heterogeneity of the Polish and German sailing environment is clear in the context of age, sailing qualifications, property status, which determines the direction of cruises undertaken and other activities accompanying sailing. All the above-mentioned elements of social capital bring benefits for the research area, observed in the economic and social dimension. Based on them, promotional and infrastructural changes were proposed for the needs of the tourist services sector, including, among others, nature, cultural or qualified tourism.
Perception of space is an especially important part of research on urban fabric. The perception of a city is strongly correlated not only with a specific time and place but, first and foremost, with ...surveyed populations who, apart from having varying demographic features, frequently represent disparate community and cultural profiles.
The objective of this study was to assess how the urban space of Szczecin (Poland) is perceived by its inhabitants and to ascertain the relations between various image elements. The example of Szczecin appears to be interesting, in as much as it is a peripheral city of a cross-border region with a historically and culturally diverse local community. The presented research used a method of analysing mental (image) maps based on the methodology proposed by Kevin
and modified by the authors to incorporate in-depth interviews. Individual respondents’ views were used to create a synthetic image of the city.

First of all, the sailing community was segmented, a seemingly homogeneous group of participants in this form of activity. The uniqueness of the area lies in the multitude of forested areas, also ...under nature protection, including Poland's first water park - Wolin National Park, Natura 2000 areas, ecological utilities, social reserves, the Szczecin Lagoon Nature Park, as well as nature reserves. According to a survey by the Polish Sailing Association, 70% of Poles have ever been in contact with sailing. The results obtained were further expanded by conducting individual in-depth interviews (IDI) (Cross Marketing, 2023) among 20 experts, i.e., members of the Polish Yachting Association, heads of sailing clubs, charter companies, marina managers, boat builders, professional sailors.
