QCD critical point is a landmark region in the QCD phase diagram outlined by temperature as a function of baryon chemical potential. To the right of this second-order phase transition point, one ...expects first order quark–hadron phase transition boundary, towards the left a crossover region, top of it lies the quark–gluon plasma phase and below it the hadronic phase. Hence locating the QCD critical point through relativistic heavy-ion collision experiments is an active area of research. Cumulants of conserved quantities in strong interaction, such as net-baryon, net-charge, and net-strangeness, are suggested to be sensitive to the physics of QCD critical point and are therefore useful observables in the study of the phase transition between quark–gluon plasma and hadronic matter. We review the experimental status of the search for the QCD critical point via the measurements of cumulants of net-particle distributions in heavy-ion collisions. We discuss various experimental challenges and associated corrections in such fluctuation measurements. We also comment on the physics implications of the measurements by comparing them with theoretical calculations. This is followed by a discussion on future experiments and measurements related to high baryonic density QCD matter.
The COVID-19 pandemic has threatened the humanity at a global level to a large extent by the burden of the disease with significant mortality and to a certain extent as a byproduct of the necessary ...efforts to contain the same. There is a significant impact on the health care system, as we not only have to contain pandemic, but continue to treat our non-COVID-19 patients in a safe and responsible manner. Ophthalmology practice in general and glaucoma in particular needs certain modifications and additional precautions while examining as well as managing these patients keeping their and our safety in mind. As the lockdown relaxations are in vogue we need to learn how to deal with our regular patients as well in addition to emergency care. This paper presents the consensus-based guidelines by an expert panel on how to restart glaucoma practice during this COVID-19 time. These guidelines will be applicable across the country and should help ophthalmologists and glaucoma specialist to restart their practices while safeguarding the patients and their own selves from getting infected.

PCG signal recordings are so complex and non stationary signal, they are also affected by different kinds of noise the segmentation method followed by the time and frequency domain analysis ...characterization of some phonocardiogram (PCG) signals. The paper using the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) in decomposition signal. In the segmentation technique, we calculate the signal to noise ratio and peak signal to noise ratio and energy of the details coefficients at each level and threshold it in order to detect the murmur of heart sound signals. The results of the method illustrate clearly the detection of the main components S1, S2, S3, S4 Pathological murmurs and the identification of the valves disease.
All around the world there are various diseases acquired by human beings. These diseases are of various kinds and it affects almost all parts of the human body. Heart diseases are nowaday's becoming ...very painstaking part that needs to be taken much care. The major part of solving such problems involves a considerable amount of work to identify the disease. As the heart is the most complex and delicate structure of the human body, it is very difficult to deal with it physically. The area of biomedical signal processing is vast and very useful to accurately analyze and detect the disease. We calculate the normalised root mean square of the detailed coefficients at each level and threshold it in order to detect the murmur of heart sound signals. The result of this method clearly illustrates the detection of the main components S1, S2, S3, S4 Pathological murmurs and the identification of the disease.
The utilization of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) such as Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) in concrete construction offers promising opportunities to enhance sustainability ...and performance while mitigating the environmental impact of Portland cement production. However, the widespread adoption of GGBFS faces challenges stemming from variability in properties, lack of standardized guidelines, and limited understanding of its performance in diverse concrete applications. This research addresses these challenges through a comprehensive experimental investigation aimed at systematically evaluating the influence of GGBFS on various properties of concrete. Mechanical properties, durability performance, and microstructural characteristics of GGBFS-blended concrete are rigorously assessed through laboratory-scale testing and analysis. The findings provide valuable insights into the feasibility and effectiveness of using GGBFS in concrete mixtures, offering evidence-based guidance for engineers and practitioners. By promoting the sustainable utilization of GGBFS, this research contributes to advancing environmental stewardship and fostering resilience in infrastructure systems. This paper discusses the usage of digital signal processing techniques on phonocardiography (PCG) waveforms and presents all the cardiac signals and their dates on the PC. This makes it easy for ...medical professionals to interpret disorders and make a better diagnosis. A segmentation which detects a single cardiac cycle (S1-Systole-S2-Diastole) of Phonocardiogram (PCG) signals using coiflets wavelet family and heart sound is classify into three types Normal (N), Systolic murmur (S) and Diastolic murmur (D). This paper proposed an adaptive sub-level tracking algorithm based on wavelet transform to separate the S1 and S2 from other components such as murmurs and noises Citerai of time interval, energy and phonocardiogram (PCG) collecting position which are used to identify S1 with respect to the beginning of each cardiac cycle. The pre-processing before calculating energy of PCG signal by wavelet, segments the PCG signal, and finds different parameters for segmentation. This paper presents an analysis of coiflets wavelet segmentation of heart sound segmentation techniques and suggested performance measures.
