Two highly fluorescent 4-alkylamino-
N-allyl-1,8-naphthalimide dyes have been synthesised and their basic photophysical properties in ethanol and toluene solution have been determined. Synthesis and ...characterization of new side-group copolymers of styrene with the fluorescent 1,8-naphthalimide have been described. It has been established that 0.90–0.92% of the dyes are chemically bonded to the polymer chain. The absorption and fluorescent characteristics of copolymers in toluene and in the solid state are discussed.
The present study describes the infrared characterization of some newly synthesized photoactive poly(amidoamine) dendrimers, whose peripheries have been modified with 1,8-naphthalimides. Main ...attention is being paid to the effect that different substituents at C-4 position of the naphthalene ring have upon the dendrimers polarization. Infrared studies have shown that the dendrimer generations have similar polarizations as the dendrimer molecules wherein no intermolecular hydrogen bonds occur.
A measurement of the Higgs boson mass is presented based on the combined data samples of the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the CERN LHC in the H→γγ and H→ZZ→4ℓ decay channels. The results are obtained ...from a simultaneous fit to the reconstructed invariant mass peaks in the two channels and for the two experiments. The measured masses from the individual channels and the two experiments are found to be consistent among themselves. The combined measured mass of the Higgs boson is m_{H}=125.09±0.21 (stat)±0.11 (syst) GeV.

This article will provide an overview and analysis of the present state of semantic information ...measurement as methods and algorithms for semantic data reduction. We propose an algorithm combining initial information classification, knowledge enrichment through keywords, identification of potential semantic correlations between them, and semantic information extraction.

The total counting rate of the scintillator counter measured at this depth and at a threshold corresponding to ∼0.37 of a minimum ionizing particle is approximately 1.3 Hz.
