The motivation for this study was a new context associated with the increased cyclical nature of the economy and, accordingly, the increased financial risks of the business, which complicated the ...implementation of corporate social responsibility. The purpose of the article is to explore the relationship of corporate social responsibility with the financial risks of the business and explain this relationship in terms of sustainable development (SDGs). The article contributes to the development of the concept of financial risks of the business by clarifying their connection with corporate social responsibility and substantiating the relationship between the financial risks of the business. Structural equation modeling (SEM) showed that in 2020–2021, financial risks have demonstrated a complex (in most cases negative) relationship with each other and a contradictory impact on corporate social responsibility. The complex systemic relationship between corporate social responsibility and financial risks of business from the point of view of sustainable development is substantiated. In the context of increased financial risks, by systematically implementing SDGs 8, 9, 11, and 12, responsible companies get the opportunity to restore and improve their position in the market. The significance of the findings for businesses is that they proposed the SDGs as a promising new benchmark for business financial risk management. This will allow responsible companies to find a new Pareto optimum in the current conditions of uncertainty and determine for themselves the preferred level of corporate social responsibility that contributes to the effective financial risks of business management in the long term.
Introduction
. Cervical intraepithelial neoplasias that have been recognized as a precursor of squamous cell carcinoma are subject to active detection for the purpose of eradication. Human ...papillomavirus (HPV) exposure of women is the major risk factor for carcinogenesis, which is a necessary part for the formation of a pre-tumour and malignant phenotype. Cervical intraepithelial neoplasias that precede the development of squamous cell carcinoma should be actively detected and treated early. The identification of patients with HPV is an important part of subsequent therapies. Inosine pranobex is used as one of the components of the treatment of HPV-associated diseases.
Aim
. To study the role of various diagnostic methods in patients with benign and neoplastic cervical processes.
Materials and methods
. The study included 311 women who were 21–64 years old. Colposcopy, cytological examination, HPV testing, preliminary biopsy, cervical excise with histological evaluation of tissue sampling were carried out.
Results
. HPV 16 was more often detected in a malignant tumour and CIN 3; HPV type 31 and 33 were more often detected in CIN 2 and CIN 3; HPV type 18 was detected in almost all patient with CIN, and malignant and benign neoplastic disorders in preliminary biopsy, that was not typical of results of the excision. In excision CIN 1 were confirmed in 17.07%, CIN 2 in 31.88%, CIN 3 in 66.67%. Preliminary results of benign process in 6.67% turned out to be CIN 1, and in 6.67% – CIN 2, that confirms the need for a comprehensive evaluation. Studies of prevalence of various types of HPV showed that the established sequence of recommended tests, which consists of extended colposcopy, cytology and identification of HPV types, if necessary, does not always correspond to the biopsy results and histological findings on cervical excision specimens. According to our sources, the final result can be determined after excision procedure of cervical tissue and histological examination of the tissue obtained.
Conclusion
. No strong correlations between examination methods and cervical pathology have been revealed. The final diagnosis is made after cervical biopsy. High prevalence of different types of HPV raises the question of need for complex therapy with inclusion the inosine pranobex.
A stress-assisted chemical reaction front propagation in a linear elastic solid is considered. The reaction between gas and solid constituents is sustained by the diffusion of the gas through the ...transformed material. The consideration is based on the kinetic equation in a form of the dependence of the reaction front velocity on the normal component of the chemical affinity tensor that in turn depends on stresses and gas concentration. Spherically symmetric problems of mechanochemistry are solved for the reaction front propagation in a sphere, in a body with a spherical hole and in an inclusion placed into an infinite medium. It is demonstrated how stresses can enhance, retard and even lock the reaction. The effects of the sign and value of the reaction front curvature are also examined.
The paper raises the question of the possibility of reducing the energy loss of the stage of the centrifugal pump on the disk friction, the relative value of which for the stages of low and ultralow ...speed can be a significant proportion (up to 40%) of all losses. This is seen as one of the effective ways to increase the efficiency of such stages of centrifugal pumps.
This paper is devoted to the resolution of the problem of risk management in a high-risk market environment. The goal of this paper was to study the experience of and prospects for the use of ...responsible innovations as tools for managing the financial risks of high-tech companies’ projects for their sustainable development (using the example of companies in Russia’s IT sphere in 2022–2023). We used the SEM method to study the daily statistics of the Moscow Exchange in 2022–2023. As a result, we quantitatively measured the financial risks of Russian companies in the IT sphere in 2022–2023. The studied case experience of the IT sphere in 2022 confirmed that Russian high-tech companies actively implement responsible innovations based on ESG projects. Our main conclusion is that the financial risks of high-tech companies are reduced in the case of the implementation of responsible innovations. Therefore, it is advisable to implement responsible innovations for the sustainable development of high-tech companies in a high-risk market environment. The theoretical significance of our conclusions lies in the substantiation of the synergetic effect of financial risk management with the help of responsible innovations. The scientific novelty and contribution of this paper to the literature consist in its clarifying the sectorial (in the IT sphere) and market (in a high-risk market environment) specifics of managing the financial risks to companies. We also disclosed a poorly studied and largely unknown unique and leading experience of managing the financial risks of Russian high-tech companies in 2022–2023. The practical significance of our recommendations is that the compiled scenario can be used as a strategic benchmark for the most complete development of the potential of the sustainable development of Russian high-tech companies in 2024.
Epistemic causal relations in the discourse of Martin Amis are studied on the example of complex statements with the connector because, which expresses the non-self-causal relationship between ...propositions. The relevance of the study is due to the importance of studying the logical and semantic essence of causality as a basic category of human thinking. The mechanism of causal argumentation is considered from the point of view of the cognitive interaction of cause-and-effect elements of discourse. Attention is paid to epistemic argumentative relations, which are a sequential unfolding of the thought process with the reverse / regressive conditionality of events, where the opinion-conclusion is followed by the argument from which this conclusion was formulated. A wide range of functional and semantic roles of the causal connector as an explicator of epistemic causality is described. The contextual analysis of microsituations with the connector because reveals a variety of logical connections between inversely related propositions, as well as in constructions close to paratactic ones. The specificity of the functional capabilities of the conjunction under study is described, which leads the authors to create a classification of epistemic causal relations with the causal conjunction because in English is described. Four epistemic functions of the connector because are identified: discursive-reflexive, expressive-epistemic, implicit-epistemic, and logical-discursive.
The universal bimodal distribution of transmission eigenvalues in lossless diffusive systems underpins such celebrated phenomena as universal conductance fluctuations, quantum shot noise in condensed ...matter physics, and enhanced transmission in optics and acoustics. Here, we show that in the presence of absorption, the density of the transmission eigenvalues depends on the confinement geometry of the scattering media. Furthermore, in an asymmetric waveguide, the densities of the reflection and absorption eigenvalues also depend on the side from which the waves are incident. With increasing absorption, the density of absorption eigenvalues transforms from a single-peak to a double-peak function. Our findings open an additional avenue for coherent control of wave transmission, reflection, and absorption in random media.
Aim. To synthesize new 1-alkyl-3-polyfluoroalkyl-1,3-dihydrobenzimidazole-2-selenones and study their biological activity as potential plant growth regulators.Results and discussion. ...1-Alkyl-3-polyfluoroalkyl-1,3-dihydrobenzimidazole-2-selenones were obtained from the corresponding 1-alkyl-3-polyfluoroalkylbenzimidazolium iodides by the action of elemental selenium in the presence of a base. The preliminary biological tests for the growth-regulating activity of the compounds obtained were conducted.Experimental part. The structure of the compounds synthesized was proven by 1H and 19F NMR spectroscopy methods, as well as by the elemental analysis. The biological studies were done on model plants of winter wheat of the “bezosta” variety.Conclusions. A convenient method for obtaining 1-alkyl-3-polyfluoroalkyl-1,3-dihydro-benzimidazole-2-selenones has been developed. Biological studies have shown that the compounds synthesized have a diverse effect on the plant growth.
Мета. Синтезувати нові 1-алкіл-3-поліфлуороалкіл-1,3-дигідробензімідазол-2-селенони та вивчити їхню рістрегулю-вальну активність відносно рослин.Результати та їх обговорення. Синтезовано нові 1-алкіл-3-поліфлуороалкіл-1,3-дигідробензімідазол-2-селенони дієюелементарного селену на відповідні 1-алкіл-3-поліфлуороалкілбензімідазолій йодиди в присутності основи. Було проведено попередні біологічні випробування на рістрегулювальну активність отриманих сполук.Експериментальна частина. Структуру одержаних сполук доведено методами 1Н та 19F ЯМР, а також елементним аналізом. Біологічні дослідження виконували з використанням насіння озимої пшениці сорту Безоста.Висновки. Розроблено зручний метод синтезу 1-алкіл-3-поліфлуороалкіл-1,3-дигідробензімідазол-2-селенонів. Біологічнівипробування засвідчили, що отримані сполуки мають різноплановий вплив на ріст рослин.
Background: In the recent years, an increasing number of researchers, in addition to the standard causes of a particular pathologys development, have been paying attention to changes in the immune, ...pro-antioxidant, psychosomatic and other systemic factors. The processes occurring in the body with the participation of reactive oxygen species are general biological mechanisms of tissue damage and protection. Their role has been described and proven in a variety of nosologies. However, the number of studies evaluating the interaction of prooxidants with antioxidants in children with acute pneumonia is quite few.
Aims: Analysis of the pro-/antioxidant status in children with acute pneumonia, depending on the severity of the pathological process and the etiological factor.
Methods: The main group consisted of 50 patients with acute pneumonia, who were divided into 2 subgroups according to the severity of the disease course. The comparison group consisted of 30 conditionally healthy children. In addition to the list of examinations of children with acute pneumonia, according to the clinical practice guidelines, Imax, S, t values were assessed in the study groups by the method of luminol-dependent chemiluminescence (CL) of the blood plasma, depending on the severity of the pathological process and the etiological factor.
Results: After conducting a ROC analysis in children in the acute period of pneumonia, we established the threshold values of the pro-/antioxidant status parameters: at the Imax level 28.1%; S 26.2%; t 0.34 min. the examined children had a more severe course of pneumonia. When Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydophila pneumoniae were detected in the sputum, the level of the pro-/antioxidant status parameters was lower (Imax=28.0%, S=36.0%, t=0.37 min) than that in children who had Gram-negative bacteria or Gram-positive bacteria in the sputum (Imax=46.0%, S=45.0; t=0.42 min); p 0.05.
Conclusion: Violations of the pro-/antioxidant status were noted in all the children we examined. The most pronounced violations of the pro-/antioxidant status were detected in children with acute community-acquired severe pneumonia caused by atypical pathogens M. pneumoniae, C. pneumoniae. In addition, the ROC analysis made it possible to determine the threshold values of the pro-/antioxidant status parameters for assessing the severity of pneumonia in children during the acute period of the disease.
