The paper presents the results of a study of the structure of Russia's hydropower potential, which is estimated at ~2900 bln kWh of electricity generation per year. The hydropower potential of Russia ...is 9% of the global potential and is the 2nd in the world in terms of volume. The potential has been developed by 20%. Preliminarily, the distribution of hydropower resources across the territory of Russia is sharply uneven: 80% is in Siberia and the Far East, 20% is in the European part of the country. One of the conditions for the prospective development of the Russian hydropower potential is to obtain data on its current structure and the degree of development of the potential in the regions, and in the interregional and technologically isolated power systems in Russia. Also, such a structure is necessary for various types of hydroelectric power plants. The numerical of such results are given in the work.
The article presents the parameters of the functioning of the national power system and hydroelectric power plants (HPP) of Tajikistan. As of 01.01.2020, Tajikistan power plants with an installed ...capacity of 6451 MW generated 21 bln kWh of electricity. At the same time, 19.5 bln kWh (92%) were generated by HPPs with a total installed capacity of 5202 MW. The study for 13 Tajikistan HPPs operating in the Pamir and Tien Shan mountains lists the names, commissioning date, altitude, installed capacity and other parameters. The country is implementing a program for the development of hydropower resources with an increase in HPP capacity by 2039 to ~29000 MW. The Tajikistan experience of construction and operation of HPP is unique for studying both in terms of working in HPPs in mountainous conditions, and in terms of 100% supply of the country's for cheap electricity.

This paper is aimed to show that the fact of unauthorized connection to such lines by a third party can remain undetected for a long period of time. Special attention is given to the technique that can help to establish the fact of line eavesdropping on a physical level.
