Use of laser imaging flow cytometry for assessment of surface markers of human natural killer cells is considered. Cells were extracted from healthy donor peripheral blood lymphocytes. Multicolor ...cytometry with visualization was shown to be able to determine the level of expression of surface markers of NK cells and their activation during in vitro cultivation.
The data of 3-year observations of the abundance dynamics of microplanktonic fraction of
Pseudodiaptomus marinus
—a new alien copepod for the Black Sea—are presented. Seasonally, the first juvenile ...stages of the species appeared in the Sevastopol coastal waters in September. The maximum values were reached at different times: from the end of September to the end of November. Then the abundance quickly dropped. The presence of nauplius and copepodites in plankton suggests that the new species of copepods successfully reproduces in the Black Sea coastal waters. The total abundance of the invasive species is characterized by low values, which do not exceed at maximum 10 000 ind. m
–3
. The temperature is assumed to be one of the main factors in the regulation of interannual variability in the abundance of the invasive species.
Abstract
The need for digital support of decisions taken in agriculture is a prerequisite for this industry transformation and development. One of the main directions in solving these issues is the ...use of end-to-end technologies, as well as convenient and effective economic and mathematical tools. In this regard, research in the development of economic and mathematical models and decision support tools, analysis and forecasting for the agro-industrial complex is relevant. In addition to supporting agriculture in general, attention should be paid to addressing issues of improving the efficiency of agricultural activities themselves; new effective methods and approaches introduction is of particular importance in this issue, the use of which will increase the industry attractiveness, promote import substitution, improve the quality of agricultural products, etc. The agricultural pests entomophages natural complexes use can be considered as one of the approaches to improving the “purity” of agricultural products due to the rejection (complete or partial) of chemical plant protection products. This underlines the necessity and relevance of creating a comprehensive software and mathematical tools for analyzing and predicting the dynamics of pest and entomophage populations, including allowing to consider possible economic effects.
Introduction.
Volunteering is a socially significant activity, which contributes to solving separate acute social issues and showing the best qualities of an individual – compassion, ability to ...sympathise and readiness to provide assistance to people in need. Through volunteering, a person achieves self-esteem and a feeling of his or her relevance and usefulness. Under the present circumstances, aspects of the study of volunteering and youth attitudes to this concept are especially relevant. Over the last decades, social transformations have occurred, leading to a reassessment of the value system, and, consequently, society has lost its moral compass. Participation in volunteering can become one of the effective factors in the formation of ethical standards and humanistic value orientations among young people.
The
aim
of the research was to investigate the educational potential of volunteering through studying the attitudes of young people.
Methodology and research methods.
The research was based on axiological and sociological approaches. In the course of the research, the following methods were used: review and synthesis of historical-philosophical and sociological literature, sociological group face-to-face surveys, and comparative analysis of statistical data.
Results and scientific novelty
.
The authors justified the necessity for moral education of working youth through the involvement of young people in realizing charitable projects and organising philanthropic events. The authors highlighted the aspects of conducting charitable activities in one of the socially-oriented enterprises of the Urals – Sinarsky Pipe Plant. A questionnaire based survey conducted among young workers of that metal manufacturer revealed the fact of mass participation in various charitable activities (out of the sample seize of 180 young workers, 89% of respondents admitted their involvement in philanthropic activities). The respondents expressed interest in charitable projects and readiness to spend own time, energy and money for rendering disinterested targeted assistance to children with special needs and children with disabilities (56.3%), to elderly people living in difficult life situations (52.5%), to stray animals (50.0%), to children suffering from cancer (49.3%). It was concluded that charity work forms ethical standards at young people, and develops altruistic qualities such as disinterestedness and responsiveness, as well as civil consciousness.
Practical significance.
The research outcomes can be used when preparing, organising and holding charitable work with the aim of bringing up morally and ethically educated young workers, as well as students of educational institutions of different levels.
Objectives.
To study the efficacy of the drug Cytoflavin in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) by assessing the blood tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) concentration.
Materials and methods
. ...An open, comparative, prospective observation of patients with a history of DPN for more than five years and high blood TNF-α levels was carried out. All patients received basic oral combined hypoglycemic therapy; patients in group 1 received Cytoflavin (10 ml per 200 ml 0.9% sodium chloride i.v.) for 10 days, followed by switching to oral Cytoflavin, 2 tablets twice a day for one month. The main indication for the use of Cytoflavin was the presence of cerebrovascular disease in all the patients studied. The severity of the clinical manifestations of DPN and patients’ quality of life (QoL) were assessed, and TNF-α levels were determined as an indicator of inflammation.
Results
. Cytoflavin use was associated with increases in quality of life indicators, decreases in the severity of sensory disturbances, and decreases in TNF-α levels, which may indicate a possible anti-inflammatory mechanism of action for this drug.
Conclusions
. Use of Cytoflavin can inhibit inflammation and reduce the severity of sensory disorders in patients with DPN.
The homologous series of thermoplastic polyetherimide based on resorcinol dianhydride R (1,3-bis-(3,3',4,4'-dicarboxyphenoxy)benzene) and tetranuclear diamine BAPB (4,4'-bis(4"-aminophenoxy) ...biphenyl) (R-BAPB) were synthesized in powder form. Fibers were obtained by melt spinning of this polyimide. It was analyzed, how changes in the molecular weight of polyimide can affect the ability to form fibers through the melt. The influence of the degree of orientation high-temperature drawing on the thermal mechanical properties and the change in the morphology of the polymer was studied. An increase in draw ration (DR) from 1 to 4 led to a substantial increase in tensile strength and Young's modulus of polyimide fibers.
A new variety population of meadow clover GPF-49-3, promising for use in agricultural production in the northern regions of the European part of the Russian Federation (RF), has been created in the ...Federal Agricultural Research Center of the North-East named N. V. Rudnitsky. It is characterized by early periods of mowing and harvesting ripeness: the duration of the growing season from spring regrowth to the flowering phase of the first mowing is 56-72 days, from the first to the second mowing is 39-56 days, until the seeds ripen 103-115 days. According to the results of the study and evaluation in several cycles of competitive and environmental tests (2009–2021) in the conditions of the Kirov region, GPF-49-3 has shown advantages over the zoned standard cultivar (st.) ʻDymkovskyʼ in a number of productive features and adaptive qualities: it is characterized by winter hardiness, tolerance to drought, high productivity and its potential – harvesting of green mass up to 88.3 t/ha, dry matter up to 20.5 t/ha, crude protein up to 2.5 t/ha, seed yield up to 5.3 c/ha. The features of the GPF-49-3 cultivar population are significantly high in comparison with the standard forage productivity of the second year of use (y.u.) – 28.7 t/ha of green mass, 7.8 t/ha of dry matter at the level of standard ʻDymkovskyʼ cultivar – 23.4 and 6.2 t/ha, respectively (LSD05 = 4.5 and 0.8 t/ha), and genetically determined resistance to root rot. A correlation (r) of average strength was found between the intensity of root rot development in 1 y.u. and plant productivity indicators in 2 y.u.: green mass (-0.43), dry matter (-0.50), protein collection (-0.58.), indicating that the herbage with a lower degree of root damage before overwintering is more productive for the next year of use. The obtained research results made it possible to make a decision on the transfer of the GPF-49-3 cultivar population to the state cultivar testing in 2021, as a cultivar of meadow clover ʻMalakhitʼ.
It is shown that initial treatment (quenching or annealing) has a significant effect on the evolution of the structure of hafnium bronze upon dynamic channel-angular pressing (DCAP). Upon annealing, ...hafnium becomes bound into particles of the intermetallic compound Cu

Hf, and the annealed samples are only insignificantly strengthened upon DCAP. Upon quenching, Hf remains in the solid solution, and the strengthening effect upon DCAP is much greater. Twinning becomes the main deformation mechanism for quenched bronze upon DCAP.

The continuously changing magnetic field of the Earth and its constant influence on the vital activity of all living organisms makes studies of magnetobiological effects important and in demand. The ...effects of weak magnetic fields, especially weak static magnetic fields, on living objects remains inappropriately understudied. The biological effects of weak magnetic fields result from chemical processes involving radicals, radical ions, and paramagnetic particles. As attenuation of the magnetic field is a stress factor for the body and given that the nervous system performs the most important regulatory functions in forming the body’s stress response, this review addresses the influences of weak static magnetic fields on the functioning of the nervous system. Our own and published data are summarized; these indicate that weak static magnetic fields affect key biological processes, such as gene expression, cell proliferation and differentiation, and apoptosis, as well as behavior. Special attention is paid to the therapeutic potential of weak magnetic fields for clinical use in neurological pathologies.
